Any babes walking yet? Mine hasn't got a clue.

motherinferior · 24/05/2004 15:36

Mine might get the hang of it at some point. We're on three fangs and counting. The nights are awful again!

Kaz33 · 24/05/2004 15:44

Mine, mine, mine - his record is 9 steps, think he could do more but he's so pleased with himself that he starts laughing and then falls to the floor in a heap.

Then I think he is the oldest baby on this thread. He is however a perpetual movement machine, so much more active and adventorous than his big brother at this age.

The nights are ok, but we are now resigned that our day starts at 6am. I gave DP a lie in until 7.30am this morning, what a treat !

4 fangs.

I do feel for you ladies with broken nights. I can just about function on 8 hours sleep a night, it is getting easier though, I do see light at the end of the tunnel. I have even contemplated doing it all over again, not yet though - 22 months is too close in age.

So ladies I guess thats it - its been a great year to share with motherinferior, happyspider, champs and others..

See you about on the board.

Just popped in to say Good Lord, I can't believe these babies are about to be ONE! It's gone so quickly! (appreciate it may not have done for you lot though!)

Cna't blieve how the time has flown - happy birthady when it comes

motherinferior · 07/06/2004 08:43

Happy birthday - retrospectively - to the Kazster!

champs · 10/06/2004 17:53

happy birthday babykaz!!

Dahlia · 19/06/2004 21:44

Happy belated Birthday to Kaz junior, and also to everyone else! MI, are you getting broody again yet????

happyspider · 19/06/2004 22:08

wow, have been completely been swamped by work/baby/husband that did not have time to post here.
But I couldn't miss checking now, a year later!!!

Happy belated/ birthday to all of you. Mine was one last week and we're still getting cards and presents: amazing.
He's a cuty little one, doesn't walk yet, but he can move very fast!
He says bye bye when he gets bored and wants me to move over when I am talking to somebody , he also says mama and dada and sometimes long sentences that mean nothing.

It was great sharing the experience last year with you all more experienced mums... Must say I feel a little more confident now

motherinferior · 21/06/2004 08:04

Happy birthday to Dahlia's dd2!

(And I'm STOMPING on that broodiness, what about you?)

Kaz33 · 21/06/2004 09:19

Happy birthday baby spider, baby Dahlia and babyinferior... Good to hear from you happyspider.

My big news is that I am leaving work, hopefully getting a redundancy package but if not I am going anyway. We are selling our london flat and drifting south as DP doesn't need to be in London to work. Anyway by the end of the month I will be out of work.

Very scary but really looking forward to being a SAHM. With no 2 I have been totally unable to balance work and the kids and its not like I even like my job so I am out of here

DS2 is walking properly now - bought him some shoes a couple of weeks ago.

Happy birthday to all. My ds is finally crawling properly! Was getting quite worried as he couldn't choose between bum shuffling and crawling and wasn't doing either for more than a few feet. Got report from nursery yesterday that said he'd played with this, that and the other as usual and ended with 'chasing Olivia' so he's obviously motoring around there as well. We put a stairgate up the other week and he went straight for it... actually seems to have made the stairs much more interesting for him. Says 'mum mum mum mum mum' a lot as well as dada, finally, and points at everything saying 'look!'. Well, OK, more like 'ook' but we know what he means.

Kaz33 · 14/09/2004 21:14

15 months old, pointing, singing to himself and climbing everywhere !

And, yes I thought the other night that maybe our family isn't completed. It must be something about 15months old as thats the time we got it together for no 2. But no not yet, but maybe in our country idyll.... Flat just gone on market, heres fingers crossed !!

Hi Kaz, is anyone else around? Motherinferior, how are ya? DD2 still not walking! nearly 15 months, cruises furniture happily but just too chilled to take the plunge. She says a few words now though, and loves copying anything her big sister does! And she eats like a dream, anything from strong garlic flavours to omelettes to fishfingers. Marvellous. DD1 is so completely fussy its bliss to have a good eater.
Are any of you original June/July lot out there?

motherinferior · 16/09/2004 22:15

I'm here! Been wondering about you two! Dd2 is GORGEOUS. And walking! (we were owed it, seeing how long her sister too). A chuckly sweet little thing with an unerring instinct for the one dangerous thing in the room. Her favourite activity at the moment is Giving You Things. Toys, books, glasses of water, oops...

I remember that 15 months urge, but this time round am stomping firmly. Something about dd1's comparative civilisation makes me realise that leaving the baby years behind could have some BIG compensations. Imagine a nappy-free life
