APRIL PROCRATINATORS THREAD

I thought I'll start this one as I am, without a doubt, the worst procratinator among you all (failed to submit the second tma on this course).

So...my next deadline is April 5th and it's on A Portrait of A Lady and A Woman in White.

How's everybody else getting on?

Yay! Great news Proles Grin Are you feeling more optimistic now about the rest of your course?

I'm about 10 pages away from finishing The Awakening and then it's on to the last tma (worth 30% of ocas) and revision. 9 weeks til the exam. Working hard now. Weird how when the whole procrastination thing stops when my back is against the wall.

proles, that is fantastic! you can count 'em down on a chuff chart now! Grin

well done. it must be a relief to be crawling your way back on track x

i always knew you weren't a real procrastinator, winny Wink
i still have nightmares about not revising for my a levels (and that was well over twenty years ago....) Grin well done though! down hill to the finish now!

Winny, is that the Awakening as in the Oliver Sacks book? Fascinating stuff... :)
And well done Proles! You must feel very relieved!

No, it's by Kate Chopin, joan.

madwoman Grin I am, I am, on the last course I started revision 6 days before exam, so ner. But now, with 2 tmas not submitted, it would be taking a piss not to take the last tma and exam seriously. But come October, it'll be back to procrastination, no doubt.

that sounds interesting - sil is a judge and currently doing a masters in the international human rights/ law area and dh spent a while doing intelligence stuff too, so they would all bore your ears off. Grin

i'm no use to you at all, though. Grin i read the paper, that's about it! still trying to fathom the global economic crisis, despite dh explaining it to me painstakingly several times.

you can hear the relief in your posts though Grin

Happy Easter everyone.

Well, I am in trouble now, really. Chicken pox, birthday parties, another bout of tonsilitis, DH away and suddenly I find myself with 3 weeks before I hand in my last TMA, non substitutable. Have done nothing, read nothing, shit shit shit. Then my exam is a month after the TMA deadline. Again, done nothing.

WAIL

Have to go away this week and will try to get a lot of the reading done...but realistically have got 2 weeks as will be expected to you know, actually see family and have a nice time Wink

winnybella · 24/04/2011 10:32

Same here, tma in 3 or 4 weeks and then the exam few weeks later. It's totally doable, relax. Just start now

i'm also having a bit of a week of it, but tbh not surprised - all the stuff i put off whilst i was at work. kids are visiting their new school on weds, and dh moves out for his new job at the w/e, so crazily packing stuff and trying to organise.

but in the back of my head a little voice is saying 'next week you have no excuses...' not even dh to entertain in the evenings as he won't be here - so in theory as soon as the kids are in bed i can crack on. and of course they'll be back at school and only two more weeks before dance finishes and the shows and competitions are over! i can see acres and acres of study time on the horizon, which is abeying my panic a little.

moved the computer etc yesterday though, as with dh moving out there's really no need to hide in the basement. it's now got pride of place in the living room on a mahoosive desk, so a completely visible reminder of what i should be doing for the next 8 weeks solid! i am toying with the idea of getting him to take the tv with him... hmmm....

good luck with the final tma, winny/ strawb x

3 weeks is fine, cool, chill, relax. it will all be ok!

hope you all had a lovely weekend - it's not bank hol here, so the kids have dance classes and i've got to ferry dh into town for a doc's appt (minor surgery thingy) so not much on the study front happening until later today
