Hes soooooo gorgeous and hes all mine! I'm on such a high right now, don't know how long it'll last though.

I didn't have to be induced, I didn't even have to wait till my due date a healthy baby and no stitches! I'm ecstatic! The relief of it all being over is wonderful. Now I'm going to concentrate on remembering every last detail of his face before this stage passes away too.

Come on Cha and Ailsa!

Bekki - that all sounds majorly stressful. Not suprised your blood pressure was high. If it makes you feel any better, my doctor was deliberatly not going to weigh me as I so obviously had loads to lose !! I stupidly asked her to and am busy trying not to work out how many pounds I need to lose. I started counting weightwatchers points today.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the other ill babies are beginning to get better.

Beccarollo · 03/11/2003 21:56

Bekki are you breastfeeding?, you are arent you If you are you add 8 points to your normal weight watchers points for the day. If you want to know what this is email me and let me know and Ill let you know!

I had my second weigh in tonight and ..........drumroll.......lost another 4lbs! 8 lbs in 2 weeks woohoo!! Got my silver 7 for half a stone too I was well chuffed.

Harvey has his injections tomorrow boohoo

Bekki · 03/11/2003 22:20

Thats fantastic Becca. Yes I am breastfeeding, I can't get to weight watchers myself but if its not to difficult to e-mail I'd love to try and follow your plan.

Good luck with his injections, its worse for the mother than the baby.

You can do it on online but think its costly, Ill happily email you with details but not sure if I could get the whole program down

Basically you have a points level and you eat what you want as long as your within those points.

Adell and Bekki why dont we have a little september babies thread support thing and all weigh in on a monday and let each other know how were getting on.

Becca, that weight loss is bloody fab. Well done girl. Bekki your poor little lamb. I bet they itch and he can't scratch them. To answer your question about being on pc at 3am. Sometimes I just find it easier not to sleep between 1 & 5. I make up for it during the day instead (well try to anyway).

To those that asked (you'll be sorry). I have got a hole in my scar right in the middle and it won't heal. I know I have to go to my gp's but have been putting it off. Will go this week. I was just so fed up of being poked & prodded. My overhang covers the actual wound therefore it can't get any air. Hands up those of you with overhangs, we can all make a gang called the 'overhang posse'. Hurrah.

wiltshire · 04/11/2003 00:24

Oh and Max in his cot for first time tonight. Beam, beam!! He looks so small & cute in it but he was putting his little fingers in the wicker holes of moses and I worried about this.

Bekki · 04/11/2003 07:29

Oh Wiltshire I remember that sleep problem well. I can't imagine trying to cope with a baby and a painful scar I hope it clears up soon.
O.k Monday it is, I'm scared of the scales!
Thanks for the help Becca but I don't think I can be bothered with it all, I'll just eat properly and see how that goes. Good luck everyone!

Becca - congratulations, what a great loss ! I'm up for a Monday weigh in, managed to get through my first day yesterday, only 6 more to goto see if it's working!

Wiltshire - I had problems with my scar, had & had to have antibiotics. The midwife recommended putting a thick sanitary towel over it to act as a dressing and to raise the overhang (I'll be part of the overhang posse!!) I found drying the scar with the hairdryer on a very low setting helped dry it out and regular doses nurofen helped. Know what you mean about being prodded. I was told if it didn't clear they'd have to take a swab & another course of tablets, luckily it did.

Help, there's a mouse in the toy cupboard !!!! I think it's going to be one of those days...

ANGELMOTHER · 04/11/2003 10:43

Very well done on the weight loss Bekki, I somehow fooled myself I might have my shape back by Xmas.....hey ho
Sorry to hear about the scar Wilt, sounds bloody scary, rest up during the day as much as possible.
Well dd1 is still poorly and dh seems to be getting better except for the night sweats, the bed is like a swamp in the mornings.
I bit the bullet and ordered some of those "Elle Intimates" from Figleaves and they arrived this morning, which is coincidentally our anniversary. I am now a devotee as aside from the nursing bra feeling fab the knickers make me feel less like a cow than I have been feeling of late.
Hhhmmmmmm maybe tonight is the night to get "intimate", I think dh would die of shock if I approached him lol, oh well he's out all day and not back till late anyway.

Beccarollo · 04/11/2003 10:51

Ooh err angel, I still havent got intimate yet either, i cant even entertain the thought at the moment either - think its the breast feeding and yes the feeling like a cow with the horrible bras!

Are the elle intimates lovely then? I never got properly measured for my bras, do you think I should do that before I got any nice ones?

Bekki · 04/11/2003 12:33

Thanks angelmother but it wasn't my weight loss its Beccas, I wish it was.

ANGELMOTHER · 04/11/2003 17:17

I keep getting Bekki & Becca mixed up doh!
Yes can't recommend this bra enough, a bit pricey but truly worth it. I measured myself as per instructions on site and realised I'd been wearing the wrong size anyway.
As for intimate, well I'm going to have to live up to my promises as just found out dh reads my posts.........isn't that right darling.
Sneaky b**r, serves me right for reading his texts.

Beccarollo · 04/11/2003 17:22

hahah

Hi Angelmothers DH - now go and run a nice bath, make a cuppa (or glass of wine), present a lovely box of chocs and/or flowers and do all the housework and you MIGHT get lucky lol

I did the instructions as per figleaves site and was horrified at how big it sounded so bought a size that sounded more reasonable!! ( I know I know Im in denial!!)

ANGELMOTHER · 04/11/2003 18:34

Some chance Becca, all the housework gets done by the housework fairies, didn't you know
Expect your figleaves order quickly, I ordered on Sat night and it arrived today.........what postal strike !!!!

Beccarollo · 05/11/2003 12:18

Well Harvey had his jabs yesterday and boy oh boy did he react! Screamed pretty much on and off since 5pm yesterday to 7am today although after about 2am he was a bit more settled and slept for a few half an hour slots! He must be feeling better this morning as he has been in bed most of the day lol

Im shattered!

Are you taking your babes anywhere for fireworks? I still cant decide if Im going to scare him if i take him along!

ANGELMOTHER · 05/11/2003 19:44

Hope little Harvey's better for you tonight Becca, maybe catch up on some sleep....poor little mite. I'm dreading jab day

princesspeahead · 05/11/2003 20:27

oh no becca! poor you, how upsetting. I was meant to give mine jabs on monday but in the end just gave him polio (oral) and will give him the first lot in a month or so. I think they are just too young now...

princesspeahead · 06/11/2003 13:00

Hi everyone, you may all hate me but I have to tell someone....

ds went to bed at 6pm last night and woke up at 7 AM!!!!!!!!

princess tapdancing a la ginger rogers around the room

not boasting, because it is nothing to do with me. just an act of god! and probably won't be repeated for months...

EmmaTMG · 06/11/2003 14:43

OH MY GOS PPH how dare you admit such a thing here at 7am this moring I had already been awake for about an hour along with the couple of hour from 11pm onwards.........

DS3 is 6 weeks old now and by this stage DS1+2 were starting to sleep longer at night, maybe I can get them both to have a word with their little brother!!

Beccarollo · 06/11/2003 16:50

wahey!! Great news PPH - I bet you feel great this morning FINGERS CROSSED for repeat performance!

Harvey was quite good - down at 8pm sleepy feed at 10.30 up at 4.45 then up for the day at 8am

I can deal with that its when there is more than one middle of the night waking that does me in!

princesspeahead · 06/11/2003 16:52

i keep trying to think of anything different i did yesterday and there isn't anything. his last feed wasn't even particularly big - 6oz rather than his usual 7 or 8 - so I thought I was in for a 2am feed or earlier.

I've been telling him all day he has to do it again tonight, though!

adell · 06/11/2003 18:49

PPH -If you do think of anything you did differently, please let us know !! Hope he was listening when you told him he had to do it again.

Joseph had his jabs today & has screamed all afternoon. Not sure they made him scream as he's taken to doing that since Sunday

Beccarollo · 08/11/2003 11:15

Not quite as good as PPH's but I got 9pm-5am then back down to 8am this morning WERE GETTING THERE!!!!

ANGELMOTHER · 08/11/2003 11:19

I got 9pm to 4am, we'll sort it out yet. Looks like we could be on our way to some proper sleep laies
