Hes soooooo gorgeous and hes all mine! I'm on such a high right now, don't know how long it'll last though.

I didn't have to be induced, I didn't even have to wait till my due date a healthy baby and no stitches! I'm ecstatic! The relief of it all being over is wonderful. Now I'm going to concentrate on remembering every last detail of his face before this stage passes away too.

Come on Cha and Ailsa!

Ooooohh I'm beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. My mum arrived today and dd1 went straight for her, they get on so well and gives me a welcome break. Dd2 had her jabs today and has slept better since them than she has in weeks........are they supposed to make them drowsy???
My neck is somewhat easing and I'm going to physio tomorrow and I'm actually going to the hairdressers on Friday so I might not resemble an unmade bed for much longer.
Dd2 is also feeding a bit better and we are getting a whole two hours between feeds, I'm so optimistic I've opened a bottle of wine, I haven't had time to so much as find the corkscrew in 2 weeks.
It does get easier

Good to hear that things are looking up Angel

God knows what is going on with H - he is feeding every 2-2.5 hours and last night got me up at 3.30 and 5.30 - where is my sleeping through baby gone to!?

Harvey reacted to his first lost ofjabs but not his second - so good luck

Adell, thanks for the offer but dare I say it we seem to have turned abit of a corner. He's still slow but he's drinking pretty much a whole 7oz bottle in about 1 hour which is good going for him. I've changed his feeding routine slightly so maybe that has helped. Thanks again anyway.

Becca, sorry I haven't email you about the stuff on my Ds1's behaviour thread, I haven't had time to fart in the last few days and an email about that would be VERY long so I need a couple of days to compile it and edit it to a reasonable amount. How's things going with your DD, any better?

Gotta go again now, James is screaming on my lap..........GIVE ME FOOD can you all hear him

Emma - after the most horrendous day in history on Tuesday, yesterday she was MUCH better (touch wood) - Ive introduced a sheet that she can collect stickers on for good behaviour. I also started reading a book I have called Pocket Parent which has lots of valid stuff about a new baby and anger issues.

Glad things are looking up on the feeding front Emma. Joseph now seems to have gone the other way and isn't at all fussed about his milk.

Angelmother, good to hear things are getting better. Enjoy the hairdressers, I had the most relaxing hour I've had in ages when I went the other week. DH kept on saying how good my hair looked afterwards - for him to have noticed it must have been bad before!!

We're off to visit friends this weekend and I'm hoping that it will be much easier than when we went away the first time when DD was a baby - we've changed cars and I'm not sure I can fit everything in !

Becca,

I had a visit from my HV this morning to talk about weaning Jenny, now 14 weeks and as of this week fully bottle fed. While she was here Jenny brought some of her last bottle up, she asked if she normally does that to which I said yes unless she goes to sleep straight after she finished her bottle. Sometimes it can seem quite a lot and other times not much at all. She said that she was probably just taking too much milk at the time, and, because she is trying to get mobile, jumping about on my lap etc, she is bound to bring some back because the muscle at the top of the stomach isn't strong enough to keep everything down and that in time the muscle will strengthen and she will stop being sick. As Jenny is otherwise happy and gaining weight, she said not to worry about her being sick or starting to wean just yet. HV also said that although the current advice is for purely breasfed babies not to start on solids until they are approx 6 months, there is also no harm until waiting until then for a fully bottlefed baby. She finished by saying that it was basically up to me when to start weaning, and as Jenny is still on the first stage milk (C&G Premium) I could try moving onto (C&G Plus) if she seems to be getting hungrier.

Sorry if this is a bit garbled, but hope it helps to reassure you a bit.

Apart from the being sick, Jenny has been a text book baby, she has slepth thro' the night since she was 5 weeks, we have only had about 5 or 6 broken nights in the whole time, she also hs her naps in the day, she's making all the right noises to the right people (docs & HV's) and seems to be desperate to get moving. They say that all children are different, and they couldn't be more right, my 3 are all completely different, but Jenny is by far the easiest of the 3.

dear All , have only just found this thread but wld like to join too ...

DD born 9 Sep and is probably close to 15lbs. She is gorgeous, smiles, gurgles, started laughing, plays well under play gym, watches cartoon network ect BUT BUT BUT does not know how to fall asleep without aid . SHe also during the 12 hrs sleep period wakes for food twice , usually 11-1am then four hrs later . Sometimes she wakes a third maybe fourth time but I resist feeding her as I know that she cannot be hungry. Is it just my DD who is still waking so often during the night ???? I get so down when people comment that she shld be sleeping through or are surprised that she has not yet settled into a night routine yet ...

Also, anyone thinking abt weaning soon ? DD currently has last bottle of formula ... Am keen for practical reasons to wean her of the breast before it beccomes harder to at a later stage.
