I phoned the local paper and they said that they were found guilty and are in jail awaiting sentancing on friday!!!!

edam, The parents don't like their own kids, honestly!! The dad called them arseholes when I was talking to him one day, They are in no denial about their sons, but I believe they had no idea that they were doing what they were doing to us as they work all day!

No I haven't seen the parents, I saw them this morning on their way to court, they said morning, and asked how we were. But haven't seen them since, its a shame as we always had a good relationship with them before the older two came out of prison before, and we can't get that back

Must be an incredible relief. But makes me wonder what happened to turn the kids bad, if their parents are OK... did one of the brothers get into the wrong crowd and the others followed?

edam, it seems to be a thing most parents do - they just can't believe that their kids can really be as awful as they are painted.

There was a mother on You & Yours yesterday whose son had been murdered by his criminal mates, who kept going on about how yes he was a rogue but a lovable rogue, and he had been just about to go straight and look after his daughter and blah blah blah. There has been a miscarriage of justice, in that the police tapped phone calls between the accused and their lawyers so they were all let off, and of course he shouldn't have been murdered, but I would love to have heard from one or more of her "lovable rogue's" victims.

The oldest one was a bully at school and he got in with the wrong crowd. The 2nd followed suit, and when those two came out the youngest got swept up with them. The youngest was always ok, used to work and be polite, when his brothers came out, he jacked his job in and just hung out around his house. The dad works fulltime and the mum works at the local pub. They have a lovely house and garden and are so nice. I do feel a bit sorry for them after all, they must realise that everyone knows what is happening with their lives.

I do feel sorry for the parents, DH doesn't. I think it in my nature to see the good in people, but I didn't see any good in AM and his posse. I was polite to him when he was released, never made it known that I actually thought he was scum! And the parents are so nice, I felt I had to be polite for their sakes.

Just want this year to end and we can move and settle in the new house, hoping that we can have xmas in the new house

Wow, SM they reached a verdict and sentencing really fast! I know you are soooo relieved to have them out of your lives.

it took 10 months for the case to get to court, they were found guilty after a week of court, and sentanced 3 days later. I think the courts felt they had to do it fast!

Got up this morning without a feeling of dread, I feel so happy but it feels like a 'dirty' happiness IYKWIM

dirty because you shouldn't be happy? Don't beat yourself up about being happy - you are finally free of these pathetic excuses for human beings and that is a good thing. Plus everyone else is safe from them for a good long while too.

Oh, I see. Well, I get the logic, but you didn't create the situation. You didn't beat anyone up, you didn't want anyone to be beaten up - you really can't blame yourself for being relieved these monsters are behind bars. Think of all the potential victims who are safe now, including you.

Yes I am relived (big understatement) and I know that the poor couple who were beaten up will be feeling the same. I wish I could meet them and thank them. They were so much stronger than I was, they took it all the way. I got advice and then took it no further. They deserve a medal for standing up in court with them watching them.
I hope that P down the road gets bored of trying to intimidating us, because he is a skinny little runt who needs taking down a peg or two. AM and his posse aren't his friends, they just used him, we were real friends to him until he stab us in the back, FFS AM shot an airgun through his bedroom window and nearly hit his best mate in the head, how can he forgive them for that!!!!???

Well we have done the garden!!!! The grass is cut and the kids have been out to play!! FIL came and helped us. I had to buy a new strimmer, so I got a really good one.... and we had no abuse as they ain't there!!!

well its in the local paper today, with photos and its say how the middle one was given a life sentance but only has to serve 6 years!!!! It also spouts crap about how they are distressed at what they have put their parents through and how the oldest has missed out on his son early life and will now miss another part of his life........... oh boo hoo!!!
