Smile
LyraSilvertongue · 09/07/2010 00:25

What's that smile for? Are you drunk?

ghostofoggs · 09/07/2010 09:47

< whistles innocently >

Berrie · 09/07/2010 10:09

Tush!

Ds is on his first Beaver camp tonight. Only one night. Am rather nervous!I hope he'll be ok.

Got called into school the other day because he'd had a fight with his best friend and BF had a huge bruise on his face where Ds had punched him . I was mortified.

DH had another blood test yesterday after another 6 weeks of abstinance. He therefore had a drink last night. He is so much nicer when he drinks (because he's happier) If the LFT's have not come down this time he will be referred on. ('bout time) But that could take weeks. I am very worried about him.

{sad} When will he get the results Berrie?

Berrie · 10/07/2010 12:45

He'll ring on Monday and see the Doctor on Thursday.

How did ds get on at Beaver Camp? Hope he had a good time. Does he enjoy Beavers?

Collected dd yesterday. She was knackered and had the worst chapped lips I've ever seen but had a wonderful time.

Berrie · 13/07/2010 08:21

He had a brilliant time but he was really glad to be home.
He enjoys Beavers. The leader asked DH if he was interested in being a leader but DS wasn't keen on having him there.

When do you come to your Mum and Dads?

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 16/07/2010 15:10

We fly down to Bristol on the 29th, and db is collecting us from the airport.

Have had really bad back for last 3 days. My birthday was spent hobbling around Morrisons doing a food shop .

How are you both?

Berrie · 16/07/2010 15:45

Oh sorry for missing your B'day!

What have you done to your back do you think?

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 16/07/2010 16:55

Dh always forgets too

God knows what I've done. I can't think of anthing in particular. I did think it was my kidneys at first (I've had bad infections in the past)but I'm sure it's muscular now. Painful enough to make me gasps when it twinges.

How's yours?

Berrie · 16/07/2010 19:30

Oh it's ok. Don't think it'll get much better than this now.

Did DH forget this year too?

My Dh has been referred to a liver specialist His LFT's had continued to go up despite another 6 weeks abstinance.

Hope that your back begins to feel better soon. Have you got any decent painkillers?

Hello

Poor dh , you must both be worried. When does he see someone?

I'm still suffering with my back and have made an appt to see the dr tomorrow afternoon. I can't do anything fun with dd and even sitting is hurting so I can't even knit! That is what made dh realise it was bad . I want to rule out any kidney/gynaecological infection and be sure it is my back.

Berrie · 20/07/2010 12:58

Oh dear poor you. It's not fun I know.

OP posts:
Berrie · 21/07/2010 16:55

What did the doctor say?

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 21/07/2010 20:14

Muscle spasm. He's given me diazepam and diclofenac. Have taken one of each so far and am still hurting...

How are you both?

Berrie · 22/07/2010 07:15

Oh - Mmmm, let me know if you want me to post you something stronger! I have no faith at all in the Doctors ability to diagnose back problems. Mine was spasm and sacroiliac joint blah blah blah before the Physio ordered an MRI which saved me just in time.
Does alcohol help? My back was bad last night after a day out and a long drive with some walking too. The first glass of wine didn't help but the second did. (the third was just for fun)
Felt bad drinking it in front of Dh though. I'm a terrible wife. Must try harder. We've heard that providing that his ultrasound shows no gall stones or bile duct blockage the treatment will be abstinance for a year.

Swimming today I think. My ironing pile has gone beyond mountainous more of an island. That's my day. What will you manage to do?

Ooooooooooooooooh!

Now have cold! Pfft!

Berrie · 24/07/2010 20:55

Errr think it's a spanial collie cross. We went to the rescue home and there is a litter of them. He was the only one with spanial ears and he is super silky and lovely. Not sure what he will look like when grown but who cares! I thought it would be as much as I could do to get Dh there but once there he got all emotional. When we decided to have him he got all tearful. Dogs were a big part of his childhood. It's all been a bit quick though. We have fenced off the garden tonight but I have a lot of reading to do as I have no idea what to do with him. He needs his last injections in a week. Luckily I have many weeks before I need to go back to work and even then it will only be for a couple of hours at a time. Will this be ok by then if he is 4-5 months old now?
Yikes! Bit nervous but very excited!
What do we need to know?

OP posts:
Berrie · 24/07/2010 20:56

Spaniel?

OP posts:
Berrie · 24/07/2010 23:51

...bit worried...I think you warned me about collies before...

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 26/07/2010 09:32

Will be fine for a couple of hours at a time.
What will you feed him? We made the decision with Pip to feed dry only. Much less messing about.
Name?
Colour?
Pic?
What do the dc think? I bet they are super excited

Berrie · 26/07/2010 10:50

Lordy, no idea how to put pics on profile. Will e-mail if I have your adddress on the new lap top.

He is black with white bits. He is actually only 3 months approximatly they think. He came froma puppy farm that they closed down in Ireland a couple of weeks ago. He has Kennel cough so I have to go back to the home to get some antibiotics. It means that he can't have his second injections for another 7 days and it will be a while before he goes out. We may not be able to go on holiday! Don't care!

He is called Billy.

Have to go...will sort out pic when he next goes to sleep.
