Hello
I'm back. Festi over.

Berrie · 31/05/2010 20:54

Good?

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 01/06/2010 07:55

Swollen faced from wind/sun/midge bites and generally knackered but I survived

ghostofoggs · 01/06/2010 07:56

How are things with you?

Berrie · 01/06/2010 08:41

Oh dear...doesn't sound nice.

Not feeling too good to be honest. Dh has been ill all weekend and so we didn't get out much as a family. I'm finding the children difficult at the moment. Half term this week too...Feeling fat...just a bit low really but it'll be ok.
You?

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 01/06/2010 10:02

oh dear Hope dh feels better soon.

I too am feeling fat. On Sunday a wonderfully kind moronic neanderthal throwback inbred misogynistic pigugly twat man was kind enough (apropos of nothing) to call me fat too.

Berrie · 01/06/2010 12:46

Hope you stamped on his head!

I reckon Dh has Chron's disease or something silmilar. His LFT's refuse to go down and every few months he gets these stomach upsets. He is also covered in excema that won't respond to creams. Him being him will never go to the Doctor enough to get these things properly investigated. Ah well.

How is life at the mo? Did you book any flights in the end?

OP posts:
Berrie · 03/06/2010 07:31

Where d'you go?

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 03/06/2010 07:45

Morning

A mummy chicken plus 3 chicks got foxed yesterday so dd now has 2 week old chicks in her bedroom in a big tub.

Berrie · 03/06/2010 09:40

Oh dear that's sad. Poor motherless chicks.
Doing anything nice today? Is dd on half term? We are going for a picnic today. The children are so ridiculously excited that I feel really guilty. Dh has the day off tomorrow so perhaps we'll do something nice. Trouble is, he is in a foul mood - because he's had to give up drinking again...sigh. He went to bed at 8 last night so I watched Chicago and drank plum wine.

We are going to the seaside today - tee hee!

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 04/06/2010 07:53

Ooh, hope you all have a lovely day!!

Dd has not been off at all. Was Monday a Bank Hol in England then?

ghostofoggs · 05/06/2010 07:49

Off to the Village Show today with a stall for the PTA.

Berrie · 05/06/2010 07:54

Yes it was.
We had a looooovely time?
Did you?

OP posts:
Berrie · 06/06/2010 11:09

Wonder if Lyra is back yet.
Lovely weather for them.

Show day went fine
Dd entered Pip Pup for pet show and won 2nd prize.
She also won a 1st for her handwriting and a 2nd for her wild flowers in a jug.
Dd that is, not Pip Pup, who would have problems with holding a pen, what with not having opposable thumbs

Berrie · 06/06/2010 20:18

Well done dd.
I should have liked to see the wild flowers in a jug.
Well done Pip pup too!
Quiet day today though we did go out for some gas for our camping stove.
Epidural injection tomorrow At least dh has the day off to look after me this time. Am not happy about it!

Hello.
Tis I.
The procedure was not too bad this time. The chap last time was a bit crap. This one managed to get the needle into the space without all the prodding. Now I get to lie on the sofa all day. Could do with some chocolate though.

Hello! Sorry I've been a bit crap about posting. I don't seem to come on Mumsnet much these days. I've been wasting spending far too much time on the Other Forum.
Holiday was fine, a bit Chav Central (sorry) but the boys had a great time. The caravan itself was very nice and there were good beaches nearby but the park was very Butlins-esque. The Sun does £9.50 holidays to these places so what can you expect eh?
Not much going on here. Boys back to school today. DS2 went to his girlfriend's house for play/tea and I was very jealous when I picked him up. The house is massive, you could fit my house in it three times and mine's not small.
Got a photo album session tomorrow morning with the gals and then the week is free to get this place cleaned up/do DIY (yes, I'm still not finished) or read in the garden if the weather's nice (forecast says rain all week - boo).
Off to Paris on Saturday morning (Eurostar this time so much quicker) and I'm all nervous again. I really will be on my own this time except for the hotel-sharing bit.
Hope you're both well.

Berrie · 08/06/2010 14:31

Hellooo!
Where abouts were you?

It's a shame about the rain. This must be why we vowed never to holiday in the UK in June again. Mind you it was nice last week.

I don't hold out much hope for my job next year. They are bound to cut the 1 to 1 tuition. I guess I'd better be on the lookout for a proper job after Christmas.I don't want a proper job!

Will you be heading back from Paris on the Sunday Lyra? Will that be it for the time being?

Have you seen The Van Gogh Dr Who yet? I miss DT

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 08/06/2010 14:33

Glad it was a litle easier this time Berrie. How is it feeling today?

Lyra, you are all over the bloody place. Pssh! What a gad-about
By the way, awfully sorry, but I think the latest Muse song is godawful and sounds like a crappy Queen tribute band
Also am I imagining it, or is it on the Eclipse soundtrack?

There must have been a bat up our flue when I lit the fire this morning
I had to wake dh up to come and do a mercy killing. Not pleasant

Berrie · 08/06/2010 14:37

How did you get it out?

OP posts:
Berrie · 08/06/2010 14:38

Feeling fine today, just a bit more of an ache then usual.

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 08/06/2010 15:04

It fell into the stove...
I was prodding the wood to make it burn hotter and I saw it in the ashes, writhing about...

LyraSilvertongue · 08/06/2010 15:14

You're right Oggs, it's not their best. Cheesy as hell. Most of the fans on the board dislike it. And yes, it's the lead track on the Eclipse soundtrack.
Are you planning to see the film? I will but I'll wait a bit like last time. I'm seeing Kings of Leon in Hyde Park on the film's release day anyway.
