Hooray!

I SO hoped this was your thread!

How exciting!!!!!

sparklymieow · 29/06/2005 16:20

serious question time, a new school will be built on the site soon, should I move my kids from the school where they are now (up the road here) or keep them where they know people, and do a 15 min drive each day???

OP posts:
emmatmg · 29/06/2005 16:28

it's a new estate so there will be lots on new children I expect, I'd probably move them.

sparklymieow · 29/06/2005 16:30

thats what the headteacher said to me, he said that all the children on the estate will be going to the new school and it would be good for them socially

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 29/06/2005 16:33

but because of the kids disabilities I am wary about change, especially with DD1 as it throws her

OP posts:
jessicasmummy · 29/06/2005 16:35

best thing to do would be to arrange a meeting with the new school and explain the dissabilities and see what the reaction is.... i would be inclined to move them because it means the kids will have friends in school and in the local area to play etc, and less travelling time for you x

sparklymieow · 29/06/2005 16:36

I'll be moving dd2 to the nearest nursery too, because otherwise I will have to do the journey 6 times a day...

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 29/06/2005 16:38

thats what I thought JM......

OP posts:
jessicasmummy · 29/06/2005 16:40

it might happen quicker... if they ahve a good summer, it might be finished earlier.

a friend moved into a new-build and they gave her the time scale of october and she was in by the end of august..... not trying to get your hopes up or anything though x

sparklymieow · 29/06/2005 16:45

we have been given a time scale of oct-dec. I guess that means oct at the earliest and dec at the latest

OP posts:
jessicasmummy · 29/06/2005 16:46

so probably sept/oct time then...... ooooh how exciting.

Everyine seems to be having realyl god news today.... where's mine?!
