Just got a letter from the HA saying I have been offered a plot number for a 4 bed house on the new estate in the next town!!!!!!!! It will be ready in November..........

My house (being a new build) has 3 toilets - one on each level, the doors are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair (and also my side by side double buggy) and have light switches at a lower level.

That sounds wonderful...building regs stipulate accessibility now so it will have downstairs and wider doorways level threshold etc...just hang on in there, you deserve it...

Congratulations. When our house was being built we were told no access. Just go when the builders are there and they will let you have a look round. may give you a hard hat though

My house has wide doors and all lightswtiches are at a low level. Plugs are quite high IMO but the new bld regs insist on it i think.
