Yep, switched to red wine now. DH just asked if I'd like to go to gym!!!!!!! Ho ho, rather drink red wine if its all the same to him. Had rough time indeed, but all fantastic now, just dreading IVF again, but realise it won't be so bad now have one at least. Sister is wonderful, we just have to fact telling my dd that her "cousins" are not really.............that'll be fun!!

Don't know, we had counselling by hosp. before donation and they said do as for adoption and make it part of "normality" rather than sit down and dump it on her. Don't really know when they ask/care really? Does your 9 year old have any questions/understanding of where he/she came from?

soyabean · 01/06/2003 20:22

Mimsmum your sister must feel fantastic that she has been able to do this for you. Its great to hear such a lovely story: congratulations!
I'm still working, in between peeping on Mumsnet, but think I'm ready for another drink please whymummy. (great name btw)

Sis's dh and my dh best friends her dh set me up with my dh. This is all sounding a bit weird but isn't! All of us v. close and I hope to give dd view that her situation is a positive one rather than something "different" Great theory, lets see how it turns out! Am amazed by sis, especially when I saw massive bruises on her legs from IVF injections on day she went to give eggs for me. Tears to the eyes even now.

Ghosty · 01/06/2003 20:48
