Camo, how are things with your DD?

Camomilla · 10/10/2009 21:50

i can't stop re-playing that, Penthe !!!

Penthesileia · 10/10/2009 21:50

Top tip: show your toddler a mildly homoerotic yet strangely boring film.

Penthesileia · 10/10/2009 21:51

Camo . I know! It's hilarious. He looks so surprised & pissed off.

Camomilla · 10/10/2009 21:51

still no bf , but thanks for asking. think it really is the end, i'm not getting more than a tsp when expressing no...

francaghostohollywood · 10/10/2009 21:54

Oh yes Penthe, being on the computer is terrible for neck/back etc.

Sputnik · 10/10/2009 21:55

God I hope DS isn't going to be discussing this with his analyst in 30 years time.

That is sad for you Camo.

Penthesileia · 10/10/2009 21:57

Oh Camo . I'm sorry. Sorry if you've tried it already, but have you done skin-to-skin again, or attempted while she sleeps?

francaghostohollywood · 10/10/2009 22:04

Camo, I'm sorry you are sad.

Camomilla · 10/10/2009 22:09

done skin to skin, and sleepy, not actually asleep as, well, that's a miracle if it happens. she just pushes me away. maybe she was getting less than I thought and got fed up (DS stopped at 11.5 months because I think he wasn't getting enough, but was mix-fed from 5-6months after 3rd bout of manstitis so was a bit different)

the funny thinng is that I never had a "time" in mind with either of them, just "did" it as that's what I'd experienced back home, but was glad to stop with ds (though a bit sad of loosing the "unique" time/bond), so much that I always said I'd only bf for 6 months if we had another! and now I' feeling a bit down that DD's not interested anymore at 13 months! probably because she's our last baby... oh, well, as long as she;s fine I suppose

Sputnik · 10/10/2009 22:12

I know what you mean Camo, I feel a bit sad even though it was my decision to stop. But the bond doesn't go, just changes. I'm sure yu know that anyway.

Penthesileia · 10/10/2009 22:14

I'm sure she's fine; but it's normal, I think, for you to feel sad about it, especially since you weren't "ready".

Sputnik · 10/10/2009 22:15

you know that, sorry, have not descended to txtspk

francaghostohollywood · 10/10/2009 22:20

I had to stop b/feeding dd when she was 7 months because I had to take medication for a tooth infection (and was in too much pain to actually investigate if i could carry on b/feeding with different medicines).
I was a bit sad, but too much in pain to really think about it. It hit me a month later, when I was better.

Camomilla · 10/10/2009 22:33

maybe should just convince DP to have no. 3 noooooo , not now, can't bare the thought of another delivery, well, it'd definetly be a cs anyway

jokes aside, no, I mean I know, she's had 13 months, only about 2 drops of formula (she didn;t like it) and still have a few feeds in the freezer ( until only a few montths ago I could fill 1 to 2 bottles a night AFTER feeding her !!) jhst have to come to terms with it (the tub of "more milk" capsules on the counter doesn;t help considering the price as well though... guess I can look at it that now I can go to work a lot earlier to be home earlier....

Camomilla · 10/10/2009 22:34

(sorry about the typos, still getting used to tiny keyboard)

Sputnik · 10/10/2009 22:39

Yes 13 months is great.

God it has just struck me I have been pg or bf since 2003! What is going to happen now? (certainly not no.3).
Maybe I will return to my 2003, size 10 self.

Camomilla · 10/10/2009 22:41

wow! 6 years!!

Sputnik · 10/10/2009 22:45

Doesn't bear thinking about really!
Both have been bf til 2 and a bit, I enjoyed it (unlike being pg, which I hate).
But, that's enough!

I should be off to bed.

Penthesileia · 10/10/2009 22:47

That's amazing, Sputnik! Wow!

I should go to bed too.

Take care of yourself, Camo.

Notte tutte.

PS. I hope miniRosa is ok.

Camomilla · 10/10/2009 22:50

thanks for your nice words.

notte, DP's just re-filled my glass of wine, so will be less sad soon

Sputnik · 10/10/2009 22:50

It's not really, I'm just too lazy to stop probably.
Ok really off now, notte.

Rosa · 11/10/2009 08:22

Rotters I go off and you all come on !!!
I am finding that I am feeding minirosa less now she zooms on and then gets bored. Forst thing she wants it and sometimes after pm nap. At night its more a comfort suck and thats it. WHen she was ill it was more. I packed up the pump as thought that from 12 mths if needed we can go to milk. I really don't want to stop but it will be up to her. In fact I would have no3 if I was younger , had a house and more money ...... ( oh and if dh agreed !)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIO ...........Have a fab party and we want pics of the cake !

OP posts:
francaghostohollywood · 11/10/2009 08:54

Oh yes, happy birthday baby gio!!!

I think that laziness is deffo a reason for b/feeding .

Can I rant about dh? He has some unspecified virus... fair enough, but I cannot stand that martyrdom air he wears... . Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. A bit of allegria, in general, would be nice.
