Am feeling strangely deflated by the various Tory threads. Lots of very aggressive people saying some quite aggressive things. I may have to avoid Active Convos for a while and only come here.

Have just looked at the Tory thread and wished I hadn't .All that thread has done is remind me why I don't like Tories (huge sweeping statement, I do have a very nice Tory friend - disclaimer). Had a crap day at work and that has finished it off. May have to watch the West Wing for millionth time and pretend it's real whilst eating chocolate to feel better.

Does anyone dare me to throw this one to the MN public at large....dd came home from school and amidst the usual chat, said "hanno messo le telecamere in bagno oggi perche il direttore ci vuole vedere fare pipi" Transpires (I hope) that the bidella came in huffing and puffing about wet floors and kids messing about in te bagni and said the above.....I'm presuming there aren't really any telecamere (can't see them paying for telecamere when the quinta haven't even got classrooms....) and it was just a lovely bidella threatening them (aka il pulmino del colegio)
but did wonder what the MN jury would have to say if I posted it in an AIBU.

Re lack of school clothes: I had to fish out a pinafore dress out of the dirty laundry basket as I found out this morning one minute before living the house that there was none clean in the wardrobe . I knew that 3 were not enought for a slattern like me!

My top tip for entertaining at home is to get your guests to bring the food. We had some friends over yesterday and they brought 3 torte salate, problem solved. ILs also always bring something. Maybe everyone is scared of my cooking!
