thanks, I had a look, but it's mainly info on younger babies strikes as supposed to 13 months... she had the little I managed to express, so I know it's not the taste, think it might be my fault for my loud "OOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCHHH" when she bit me the other day .

Sputnik · 07/10/2009 12:56

Ah yes, that's supposed to be a classic cause. Maybe try when she's half asleep?

Rosa · 07/10/2009 13:18

I can't get the sound to work on the computer but am impressed Mr and dd Sputnik.
Minirosa another bad night I got mega stroppy with dh who at 4 am said oh is she awake..I had been up with her since midnight!
She has a ' rumbling temp' 37.9-38.4 she is not happy and off her food ( apart from fuit and yoghurt which she will eat no problem). She might be teething but then again we have been saying that from 6 mths !
Went to the chemist and got sanagol - a natural defense thing to help them . Also seeing doc domani so will ask him .
Can't wait to hear about the party Buch ...What regali are given from the M crowd ? As for pictures for the teacher - end of the year possibly but durante blah !
Camo minirosa really only wants the right side now from me she wants it 1st thing , sometimes mid afternoon and a bit before bed but she is not fussed ..Its me that feeling cr*p about it all ...

Camomilla · 07/10/2009 16:26

same here Rosa, I'm the one feeling cr*p, she's not fussed, I really just wanted to get through winter... might take her to bed with me tonight and see if that helps...

could be teething or could be that because of the fever she prefers fresh/cool things... when I was little and had very high temp mum would give me an icecream and it'd help.

back to read booooooooooooooooooooring stuff for work....

SuiGeneris · 07/10/2009 18:39

Hi guys, for those who are interested the Constitutional Court in Italy has ruled that the law giving Berlusconi immunity from prosecution for acts done before he became prime minister is unconstitutional, on the basis that it goes against article 3 of the Constitution (all citizens are equal before the law). Evviva.

Rosa · 07/10/2009 20:11

Bet you he will get out of it somehow... Or charges will be dropped.
39 here this pm for m Rosa really annoying me now ( 1 week) she has a runny nose and grotty .....Roll on spring!

yes it;s good news about the corte costituzionale sentence, although someone was explaining to me that as it's a causa civile rather than penale i shouldn't get too excited. boh. i am so disengaged from italian politics, a bit sad really...

so- am taking a break from teh wire tonight. dh away. dd2 sick with the whining bug (aka teething) so keeps waking up, dd1 refuses to go to bed before 9.30, and i have to blowdry my hair as big meeting at work tomorrow...

francaghostohollywood · 07/10/2009 21:30

Yes, yes, yes, hurrah for incostituzionalita' of the lodo alfano! I bet our joy won't last that long, I'm sure they'll think of something else

Sputnik your dd is gorgeous !!!

Rosa, so sorry to hear about minirosa. Dear friend's 2 yr old dd has been under the weather for a few days now, and she was telling me there is a nasty bug around, which causes cough/cold/fever lasting more than a week-10 days

TheMysticMasseuse · 07/10/2009 21:56

aaargghh sorry, was looking forward to a long and productive MN evening but dd2 keeps waking up crying poor panzerotta (as dd1 has started calling her). will have to go to big meeting with frizzy hair as usual.

rosa, have they ruled out polmonite for minirosa?

Camomilla · 07/10/2009 22:12

MM, sounds like we're having the same nightmare - only just managed to put dd in bed, though she's still kicking the cot and singing - I gave up twice, so she's spent the last hour here with me after DS kept on coming downstairs becausse she was crying and here with me... managed to wash my hair but will have to use the straightners tomorrow... why bother though with this rain... and I'm pretty sure she does it on purpouse when Dp is at work!!

at panzerotta!!

good for the berlusca thing, but he'll get himselff out of the poo somehow...

TheMysticMasseuse · 07/10/2009 22:14

i have now managed to blow dry my ciuffo. will collapse to bed now... good luck Camo!

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 07/10/2009 22:18

MarsLady · 07/10/2009 22:31

Ciaou bella(s)

Sputnik · 07/10/2009 22:37

Ciao bella!
Did you and your DS come to Italy in the end?

Camomilla · 07/10/2009 22:38

hello MarsLady!

yes, good luck. seems dd's asleep but I;m saying it sottovoce... notte MM

MarsLady · 07/10/2009 23:25

No. The wee wotsit couldn't decide where he wanted to go and in the end time ran away from us. Would still like to take him some day soon.

francaghostohollywood · 08/10/2009 09:55

Hello ladeeeeeez!
How are our poorly/teething little ones? Rosa, did you see the doc today?

I need help/suggestions for what to cook tomorrow night, as dh has invited some colleagues for dinner.

I was contemplating to go to the posh fish shop and get branzini (not farmed!!!)... was thinking of doing something simple, in the oven. Any suggestions? And what kind of vegetables? Heeeeeelp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

francaghostohollywood · 08/10/2009 09:56

Gosh, re reading my post, it really sounds uber stepfordy.
Should I tell dh to sort the dinner out himself?

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 08/10/2009 09:56

Have got to cook dinner for 7 tomorrow night. One friend is veg but eats fish. Something easy and that could be done possibly earlier so that I have just to take it out of the oven. Any suggestions? Thought of a bean casserole (maybe adding veg sausages and see if dh spots the difference ) or a fish stew.

please do come and help.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 08/10/2009 09:57

franca !

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 08/10/2009 09:58

unbelievable!

francaghostohollywood · 08/10/2009 10:02

Oh gosh pippi, I know. Should I fix myself a stiff g&t and forget my insubordinazione?

Yes, I think fish is good as often you can just pop it into the oven if it's good. I love trout in the UK, I thought it was very good. In the oven with lots of herbs, garlic and olive taggiasche is fab!!!!

francaghostohollywood · 08/10/2009 10:03

I do apologize for my terrible use of the english language, it's getting worse!

francaghostohollywood · 08/10/2009 10:05

I found 2 interesting recipes
branzino con verdura al vapore e salsa al basilico
filetti di orata alla salvia con cipolle di tropea

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 08/10/2009 10:05

Oh no I was because we had exactly the same reuquest at the same time. Talk about parallel stepford lives !
