Some of you will have read my threads on my neighbours but we are pushing to get moved, having the housing manager coming out tomorrow and I want to get out of here. My SIL is in Bolton and I have expressed an inerested in 2 houses up there. Homeless won't help because the police can't give me a letter, council want to me to start the eviction process (ie complain and get them to sort it out or face eviction) but I can't do that as I know it will make things worse. Now I need some help to get us moved, I have 2 disabled kids and they can't live like this, and I have to go out a lot for appointments etc and its so scary going out. Please help me.

Hey sparkly, sounds like progress is happening around you, I would go to that meeting if you could.

Now, one thing seems to have slipped through the convo grid...

the GP.

Perhaps I have missed something, but I'm not sure you've called them for an appointment or requested a scheduled home visit.

Can you tell me what you are doing wrt this ?

Really unignorable stare.

Please call them this morning sparkly.

champs · 06/06/2005 10:15

adding my stare to hub2dee's!! 1,2,3... care bear stare

hub2dee · 06/06/2005 10:26

oooooohh... scary...

the power of two care bear stares !

Yikes, sparkly...

STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER AND PICK UP THE PHONE.

champs · 06/06/2005 10:34

LOL!! care bear stares are much more powerfull than paddington ones so be warned oh sparkly one
seriously though, make the call!!

KBear · 06/06/2005 10:38

sparkly, when you need to leave the house, deep breaths, keep calm, don't make eye contact, go about your business and ignore everything around you.

He is trying to intimidate you, I doubt he wants to attack you. He is winning by making you a prisoner in your own home.

I know its easy for me to say and I dearly wish I could "send the boys round" because that is want he needs, a taste of his own medicine, but some of us are civilised and do things the right way.

So, rise above it, I know you're scared, but be brave, it will soon be over and life will become calm once more.

I know I'm rambling but I hope this helps.

sparklymieow · 06/06/2005 12:01

lets get a group of PMT mnetters round here, for DD1's birthday

KBear · 06/06/2005 14:17

he wouldn't mess with us!!

sparklymieow · 06/06/2005 14:21

spoken to the ASBO team at the council, very helpful, she is sending more log sheets to us. She is so annoyed with what I said about AM that she wants to get hold of him now!!!!! Just had the social worker phone me too, she is sending some info to the Bolton council for me.

hub2dee · 06/06/2005 17:55

sparkly - no comment about the GP ?

It is part of your weapons arsenal that you are putting together.

sparklymieow · 06/06/2005 17:59

I know, I know, Just that on the day I feel ok, I feel like a fraud and on the bad bad days I just don't feel like seeing anyone........ I wish I'd phoned the doc on friday coz that was a really bad day. I have some medical forms for me and Dh from the council.......

OP posts:
spacecadet · 06/06/2005 18:05

sparkly, sorry logged off last night, dh hada temper tantrum, and demanded i came to bed!!!!!
your parcel left today so should be with you tomorrow, only prob though is that you will need to get some tapes as the kidshave recorded over 6 tapes!!! any probs doing that, get back to me and i will get some and post them.

sparklymieow · 06/06/2005 18:07

can you record over them.???

OP posts:
hub2dee · 06/06/2005 18:11

The doc doesn't need to see you on a particularly good or particularly bad day, sparkly, s/he JUSTS NEEDS TO SEE YOU.

They will not make a snap judgement about whether you're talking crap or there's a serious problem. They will CAREFULLY scan through the logs, they will TALK to you and dh about how it's affecting you etc.

THEN THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO HELP YOU IN ANY WAY THEY CAN.

Don't try and 'time' the moment you call or they come.

JUST PHONE THEM.

OK ?

sparklymieow · 06/06/2005 18:14

I know stop staring at me......

OP posts:
zipzip · 06/06/2005 18:15

sparkly - read hub2dee's post.

then read it again
then read it again
then read it again

you won't get anywhere without seeing the doc - simple as that

sorry to sound grumpy

sparklymieow · 06/06/2005 18:18

I KNOW!!!!!!! please stop having a go I have been on the phone to ASBO team, social services and been to council offices today, and been logging incidents with police, so have been doing things, and I know I need to see the doctor but I was busy today...... stop having a go.....

OP posts:
hub2dee · 06/06/2005 18:21

Don't be sad !

The Dr. LOVES helping people in situations like yours.

Who wants to deal with a sore throat / bad back etc all day ???

S/he will see you have evil spawn neighbours, who should be in prison, making your hair worse, making you feel depressed and anxious, causing dh to be sh*t scared for his life, and potentially affecting the morale of your kids / ability to get to health appointments etc.

I EXPECT THE DOC WOULD LOVE TO HELP YOU !!!!!!!

PS - S/he may even know of the old fella that got done over, hey... they'll be well angry about that.....

OK. Enough rant. I think you know what to do.

X

sparklymieow · 06/06/2005 18:23

that made me laugh, I know it wasn't suppose to, but it did....... I will see the doctor, I swear!!!!! ok, will you stop having a go please...... ???

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 06/06/2005 18:26

I have a letter from Great Ormond street too........ thats for the kids disabilities. So the council now have letters from Social services, GOS and councillor, plus info from the doc when I see him/her. I think I have a strong case to be moved anyway, and ASBO said they would help us get moved if they thought our safety was in danger......
