Strange topic I know as this is obviously what we do on mumsnet a lot of the time.

I noticed that in all the discussions about "old" and "new" mumsnetters, several people said that they used to feel that they knew people better and discuss families by name etc.

I am relatively new here (a couple of months) and I just assumed that it was not done for whatever reason (privacy, stalkers etc?!) Am I wrong? I would love to know more about people eg names and ages of family, partners etc, where you live, what your partners do.

Basically I am just really nosey! If it's not the done thing then sorry for sticking my beak in and just ignore this thread.

I'll add in myself too!
My name is obvious! I'm 32.5, married to dh (33) and we have 2 kids, dd is 3.3 and ds is 15 months. Expecting unexpected No3 in December. I'm a sahm/run 2 holiday homes/craft worker/exam marker and dh is the local GP. We live in the outer hebrides (Isle of Harris) and it is gorgeous. this is us

Aaawwww they're all such cuties. ALMOST makes me broody...but then the rememberence of labour drags me back to reality. The sluglet is 18 months old by the way, and yes, I did announce her arrival here.

The vitals...Dh and me both 37. I was born in NZ and have been living in London for the last 10 years (I only intended to be here for 6 months!) Working as a lecturer in IT and maths at a London College

Sorry Other Mums ( Soupie, Snickers ... everyone ) ooohh I have just scrolled down and there are even more websites. Aren't all our kids the greatest ? Sorry that my omission might have offended.
Pre-kids I would have found all this "mutual admiration" rather dull .... but it's great.

Mental Note : Really ought to get my kids their own website !!

Mum2Toby · 09/05/2003 12:32

We can have that music on Crystaltips whilst we eat your dessert.

Susanmt - it's beautiful! I live in Scotland, but I haven't explored even half of it yet! It's criminal that I have that beauty almost on my doorstep and I don't take full advantage.
