Pippi you could do one of those naff (is naff the right word?) courses to become an interior designer, where first thing first they send you a colour wheel... . I'm joking of course. I think in london there are great places where you could get an id degree.

OP posts:
DamonBradleylovesPippi · 10/06/2009 21:36

Oh no I would not do it now, I do not think. Don't know why, maybe because it is a bit naff in that everybody want to be a ID. Boooring! And who needs them anyway? You buy a shit load of living etc, ideal home and such like, get cool websites from your MN's friends and bob's your uncle .

Oh McM how sweet of you [in love emoticon]. Bloody strickers ! There's a Waterstone nearish me, I'll go and get it. I'd rather read that on hol than I malavoglia. Shall I take the simenon and nemirowsky too?

Camomilla · 10/06/2009 21:54

franca, come back here and become a doula [wink}

I'd do scienze diplomatiche internazionali, I really loved the job I did before this, well, similar, but had I stayed I would have got promoted so would have dealt directly with EU legislative proposals, discussing them in brussels, so when I'm back I'll seeif there's a similar job going (depending on the field). Now I have more of a eu leg supervisory job, so I don;t have to do ins and outs of the legislation, though that was exactly what I liked, though I also like all the interdepartmental dealings I do.

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i malavoglia, terrible memories....

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 10/06/2009 21:55

I think you will find the island book perfect for the holiday....simenon sounds good, started a nemirowski novel before goingt to italy, but then realised i should read it in the original, so waiting for delivery [superboast[ I think it was called The Courtilof Affair...

MBA sounds great, is the move a definite one? Would it be hard for you MM to find work>

With potty training one day i took ds' nappy off, around 2.5 and he peed and shat everywhere for a couple of weeks and then bob is your uncle. Thing is once you take them off, they don't advise going back to them, too confusing for the kid.

I love sahdom, especially nap times and evenings so i can read.

francagoestohollywood · 10/06/2009 21:57

LOL! Yes, I think atsome stage, late 90s/early 2000 with booming housing market everyone wanted to become Linda Barker Dpo you remember changing rooms? It was uber naff! (actually there was a funny thread about CR on here recently)

OP posts:
McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 10/06/2009 21:57

malavoglia and beach holiday just don't seem to go together...

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 10/06/2009 21:57

god, sue barker and that other woman of the dfs sofas, super stylish, NOT.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 10/06/2009 21:58

Camo... impressed!!!!

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 10/06/2009 21:58

actually are they the same one? i am confusing with the woman with pendulous breast from the gardening programme.

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 10/06/2009 21:59

camo, sounds interesting your job..

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 10/06/2009 22:01

Changing Rooms... my friend and I used to watch it and were incensed by the cheap way of doing thigs. I bet they all lasted da natale a santo stefano.

francagoestohollywood · 10/06/2009 22:02

A doula, I'm not sure I'm cut out to become a doula, you need to be more earthy mother than I am for that. I have a friend who is a doula in the Sw and she is wonderful.

OP posts:
DamonBradleylovesPippi · 10/06/2009 22:02

Didn't know you had a third language McM...

francagoestohollywood · 10/06/2009 22:04

linda barker is the one form CR and the dfs sofas.

OP posts:
McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 10/06/2009 22:08

LB has no taste, thoooose sofas, puke.

i have 4 languages , probably the only sahm who has so many languages, never use them obviously...

francagoestohollywood · 10/06/2009 22:19

4 . A proper sahm would teach them all to her lo from day one, with huge flash cards, instead of wasting time reading in bed

OP posts:
McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 10/06/2009 22:25

and would praise the kids in 4 languages at the same time.
oh, i love reading in bed, my bed is my office!

Camomilla · 10/06/2009 22:26

yes, not all civil service jobs are boring but on paper it does sound more exciting too... lots of tables and graphs for the directors who can't read sentences by themselves...

no, I would never have called changing rooms! did a far better job ourselves! always felt like "guardare e non toccare" or it'll break

what are your 4 languages then, a part from it and en?

(sue barker is the ex tennis player who presents a question of sport", the bra-less gardener was charlie dimmock... OMG, I really watch too much tv....)

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 10/06/2009 22:29

sp and fr, so you see all very similar, not as hard as it sounds...off to my office now, cioe' a letto....
tables and graphs are a foreign language to me..

Camomilla · 10/06/2009 22:36

I;ve did german instead of spanish (though DP thinks that my dialect is spanish ) but that was left nei banchi di scuola

notte insonne for me, I can't sleep when DP's away, I hate being here by myself, already had half a heart attack whe DS crept behind me earlier asking for some more music...

night McC, have a good night at the office

francagoestohollywood · 10/06/2009 22:36

camo sounds really interesting. Wow

I still remember an episode of CR built horrible shelves that collapsed and destroyed the house owner's collection of teapots

OP posts:
Camomilla · 10/06/2009 22:48

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 11/06/2009 07:22

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 11/06/2009 10:41
