Ciao, welcome!

That when we see a "bargain" (as we are quite picky in where we want to live) we should go for it. That there aren't many flats like we want coming up. That he has to bloody listen to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 20:54

wow, i am in awe of this guy.
he works as a a collector!

Penthesileia · 13/05/2009 20:56

He is fab, and supportive and otherwise super, which is why I generally don't mind. But sometimes.....

Not much to speculate on - he's in the same line of work as me!

That is irritating, gio. Do you mention this to him ever?

OP posts:
DamonBradleylovesPippi · 13/05/2009 20:56

I'm going to read the thread in a minute for now I just wanted to say this: without too many details the reason why I still want to throttle dh is because.....

Oh, it's just the he NEVER FUCKING LISTEN TO ME!!!! [franca thanks for finding the right words]

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 20:56

gio sounds hard, but at least your dh loads the dishwasher without being nagged!

Penthesileia · 13/05/2009 20:57

Ahh, that is annoying, franca. Have you "missed" something recently?

OP posts:
McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 20:59

the moment i telll dp to do somethng, i know he will not do it, sometimes i think i would divorce if it wasnt for the bloody children.

francagoestohollywood · 13/05/2009 21:00

Gosh Gio, it is bloody irritating. I think they only realize how hard it is if left for a whole day in charge of the household and offsprings.

gio71 · 13/05/2009 21:12

yes penthe have said to him before and he always says " si pero, anche io.... blah blah me me me "
I think the world of him but sometimes.....
Yesterday ds needed bathing, I was doing invoices I was behind on otherwise wouldn't get paid in time, it was late so I said, could you bath ds? All I wanted was him to A) ideally suggest he would do it so I could stop feeling like was having to do everything at 100 miles and hour or B) failing suggesting it, reacting to me asking him to do it with a "yeah no problem, come on ds". INSTEAD OF ME HAVING TO ARGUE AND GET INTO A WHO HAS HAD THE HARDEST DAY DISCUSSION FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME
AAAAHHH
OK I feel better now after that shout, thanks girls.
Where are you up to re house Franca?

Sputnik · 13/05/2009 21:12

Penthe, your DH needs to join bookaholics anonymous.

Franca, if the Milanese housing market is anything like the Rome one, then it is very sluggish and he should definitely listen to you. When I cheked recently, out of curiosity really, there were the same apts for sale in the area were moving to and not really much new since before xmas.

Have you given your details to a load of agents btw? I think they don-t bother advertising sometimes.

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 21:13

dp just seen me texting damon and he said "but you spoke to her this morning!" and I said "yes, and it is evening now" and he said "oh, yes because soooo much has happened since this morning." raising his eyes. Old bugger!

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 21:14

i think your dhs should listen to you all girls, you all make sense.

francagoestohollywood · 13/05/2009 21:16

Good flats go quickly, while other stay on forever...... The flat I thought was right for us sold in less than 2 months.

francagoestohollywood · 13/05/2009 21:19

Of course we do, women are always right

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 21:19

can you nag him into buying the property you want? i imagine him like the sort of guy who is happy to live anywhere ,who will let you choose as long as you leave him in peace with his work. is that right?

Penthesileia · 13/05/2009 21:20

Grrr, gio - that is infuriating.

LOL McCloud.

How annoying, franca. Are you upset about that? Any others on the horizon?

OP posts:
Penthesileia · 13/05/2009 21:20

And yes to bookaholics!

OP posts:
McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 21:22

i think you should spend as much on bags and see how he reacts..

McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 21:24

franca, i like some of the metroretro stuff, thank you a lot! i am looking for stuff for damon's villa.

what sort of furniture do yo uhave franca?

Penthesileia · 13/05/2009 21:25

and - because if I did, we would be in serious shit.

OP posts:
McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 21:26

but then he would learn that there are consequences to his naughtiness, you see!
do you and dh work in the same "office"?

Penthesileia · 13/05/2009 21:31

No, he wouldn't, sadly. If it's a choice between debt and a book, he chooses debt every time. Before we got together he got himself in some seriously bad scrapes.

No, we don't, thank god! I'd go mad!

OP posts:
Sputnik · 13/05/2009 21:32

I suppose he wouldn-t agree to getting rid of any books would he?

Penthesileia · 13/05/2009 21:33

Not in a million years.

Although he did say recently, that if he had to choose between his books and DD, he would choose DD.

OP posts:
McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 13/05/2009 21:36

would he notice if one tome went missing sold on ebay and you appeared a few days later with a big xxxer of a bag? you could tell him you got it from primark, he would probably believe you.
