Just wondering what you think of this artist's work

(it's not controversial modern art done with blood or poo, I just kind of like the bloke's style)

i think it's the scale with heron, having the full size canvas there and the brilliance of the colour, i don't pretend any massive knowledge of art but have been known to head off to a gallery with pencils and scribble away (on pad, not on their canvases ) & over the last few years have really taken to abstracts. used to love quite schmalzy stuff like mary cassatt though in my studenty days..

That Jo Self Orchid one looks rude to me. And I wasn't keen on Twiglett's perky boobs. So to speak.

I love John Dyer . I have a few of his prints. Years back, on holiday in Cornwall, I went to his gallery and they had an original called (I think) "Waiting for the Baby" - it was a huge picture of a pregnant woman standing in front of an open window looking out on a typical John Dyer Cornish scene. I loved it but it was about £300 and we couldn't afford it. Well, dh said we couldn't afford it. Damn it I wish we'd bought it - not only would it have been an investment I would have had all these years of looking at it and loving it.

Oh I love them beety - I love Cornwall, and I love his colours, they make me happy. We have a Rothko print and it's just a bit gloomy for my liking. Art - very subjective innit?
