Morning all
September's thread was very long so thought best to start a new thread as Brooke77 suggested too!

Am off to London again tomorrow for DS1 has a tv show casting, anyone have anything coming up?

Any of you had contract's through from UAN yet?

Crikey, the Burberry casting sounds awful - quite glad we didn't get called to that one - although someone has to get it! Hope it's one of you on here. We are still waiting to see of the availability check for Boden turns into anything - getting good at waiting!

My DS is 4 next month. I suppose someones got to get it but I'm sure it wont be him. He didn't even seem the same 'look' as the other kids there.

Hello, I'm new here, have just been looking into getting ds and dd1 into modelling.

We applied to most agencies mentioned in here and so far got replies from Alphabet Kids, Bizzy Kidz, Rascals, Scallywags, Elisabeth Smith and Kitsch Kids, have also applied to Bruce & Brown, Kids London and MOT but have not yet had a response and Urban Angels said they will let us know by November 3rd, should I wait or sign them up with one of the agencies that accepted them?

hi mrsosh.. which agencies have you had yes from out of those?
KL usually quick to reply, MOT very slow, BB quicker if you do a postal applciation, UA will be quite a long process from now.. we are also waiting for UA

Brooke77, you're starting to confuse me as to which agency you with now!
Thought you were with KK or going to KL? Or you not decided yet? Were you not getting much joy out of the agency you are currently with?

How long would you normally stay with agency before considering moving to another if it's not working out?

I am hoping this is the start of a quiet period now as have all three kids at home and would have to take them all into London

I haven't had a week off yet HFD!! Almost got last week off and then we had a casting on the Friday(DS1) They really wanted him for the job but didn't have enough notice for the borough so missed out

You had anything yet HFD?

no, boo hoo!! Just one little job before Xmas - a picture to give everyone!! All too late for Xmas now methinks! Keep seeing that Fisher Price ad and thinking my little one would have been soooooooooooooo much better!!

Just had a call for a staright job for ds and guess what we can't make it.Gutted to turn it down but really couldn't make it.
fingers crossed that somethng else comes up.

Oh what a shame dreadlocks, my ds1 missed out on a job last week and was gutted too! Hopefully you'll get another soon to make up for having to miss it!

HFD- Even if you did get a job before xmas, you wouldn't be seeing anything in print for normally 3 months!

hi melody.. dd is with rascals and ds is with kk.. not too confusing methinks !
dd's contract is up soon with rascal, so looking at options. I've been happy with rascals but would rather not pat those kinda costs again !! She's been accepted by KL which is great and deciding whether to go with them or wait on UA and then choose.

i think the kid on the fisher price ad is great and it's completely uncalled for to say any different,especially on such a public forum (if you want to think it then keep those thoughts to yourself) - thats someone elses child you're criticising and very publicly.
It's not my child by the way but they were quite obviously cast for a reason!!!!!

Huge Congrats Brooke - you know what to do! get that contract on it's way ! As long as you're in the best place for opportunities which you definitely would be then you've no need to try elsewhere. Of the castings dds done (now a lot) KL and B&B have always been there, u/a just 1 (and that was the burberry one last week).

I agree yummymummyno1, we all make flippant comments, I don't think HFD was deliberately meaning anything.

Hi all- my dd (5 months) has just been offered to be taken on by AK. I've been reading this thread amnd they seem to be respected. We have applied to a couple of others- should I wait to see if others accept her before saying yes? Do I mention other applications to AK or will they just assume I'll say yes because I applied and start 'farming her out'?

Hi, yes they are reputable and do get alot of work, but I would alway's suggest waiting for more replies though before making your decision, so then you have a bigger picture and are more able to make the right decision for you.
What other agencies had you applied to?

Thanks MelodyDaisy, here's hoping we all get some calls this week(though i expect you might like a rest). We haven't got the Disney channel so if you find a link to you ds post it a would love to take a peek.

Plea to everyone--if anyone buys an EA games pc/console game pleae could they look at the leaflets in the box. My ds did a shoot in July for Hasbro games monopoly and connect 4 which were going to go in the boxes of these games.As they cost alot i don't really want to buy one if he isn't on it. They did family shots 2 adults, 2 kids and some individual ones,

Thanks MelodyDaisy- I also applied to UA, ES (said no) BB and KL. I know the closing date for UA is still a few days away, but as I literally got a response from AK in 5 hours, I figure the others might need a little longer!

AK don't alway's reply that quickly so obviously a good thing

I would atleast try and wait to hear what the others say. I was still deciding which agency to go with when I got a call from the one agency saying they had a casting for my DS1 so that made my mind up and has been the best decision for us

Dreadlocks-I can't find a link thing anywhere, am going to try and get hold of a copy from them.
Yes I would quite like a rest, not too much of a rest though, would feel weird if I had too much time off!! lol
