Please help Beetroot fulfil her dream to pose topless

So, Beetroot suggested a Mumsnet topless calender. Actually no Tamum did but it's Beetroot that has, for many, many years now (!) had a desire to bare her breasts.

As I love her dearly I've said I'll do January.

I see Beetroot as September as all the leaves on the trees are turning red.

So, who else is up for it.

We're raising money for a worthwhile cause btw.

SeaShells · 26/02/2005 13:20

I don't want a bloke hogging the limelight in mine, perhaps some nice men to help with the photo shoot would be nice though, handfeed me grapes and the like

lou33 · 26/02/2005 13:22

excellent

SeaShells · 26/02/2005 13:28

Ahh yes, but it would have to have a mummy theme, so instead of cleopatra, laid out being pampered, it'd be me laid out on a bed in the labour ward with handsome doctors, passing me the gas and air and moping my brow!

CountessDracula · 26/02/2005 13:38

I'll do it if Willow2, Bettys and Sophable will too, we could be D'artagnan and the three mumsnetteers

Only if we can have long hair that covers boobs and airbrush out stretchmarks etc and have someone else's boobs grafted on in place of my saggy ones.

Twiglett · 26/02/2005 13:51

I think its been done to death to be honest

now a calendar full of pictures of online personas I could see working .. a Cod, a Soupdragon, Hercules, a pair of JimJams, a lump of Beetroot and so on and so on

JoolsToo · 26/02/2005 13:52

"GOD i DONTWANT TO SEE YOUR SAGGY ARSES! "

if they won't show us their faces - their arses will have to do

NomDePlume · 26/02/2005 14:24

Is everyone signed up for this now ? I might be interested

tamum · 26/02/2005 14:31

I hate to pour cold water on it, but I think this needs a lot more thinking through. How will distribution be done? If it is sold to MNers then it will all have to be done by post; this will come down essentially to one person doing it all unless MN are willing to take on the task and do it centrally. I can't see why they would unless it's raising money for MN, but the original idea was to raise money for a campervan for Jimjams (here ). With real-life calendars people are selling them at local fairs and so on; I don't know about anyone else but I wouldn't really be prepared to do that as it would immediately link me to MN, and I would be instantly recognisable to anyone who knew me in RL. The only thing I can think of that would avoid this would be to have it as a downloadable pdf or something, but I don't know if anyone would pay money for that. I do think these issues need to be addressed before anyone gets too carried away; the woman who lost £15K has to be borne in mind. Sorry to be a wet blanket.

wet blanket tamum All very sensible points though. Still can't believe someone was stupid enough to lose 15k! Can I just say again that I wouldn't be comfortable taking anyone's money for a campervan though. Still happy for people to drop in in school holidays though.....

Jimjams · 26/02/2005 14:53

and to receive piccies of your washing machines

lou33 · 26/02/2005 14:55

i think if mnetters are doing it then a chunk of any profits should go to mn

coddy, bah humbug, you are only pissed off that you didn't get in there for a solo shot!

Tinker · 26/02/2005 15:43

Agree with tamum. Saw that same programme about these - 100s are churned out each year. Have to say I would never buy one.

lou33 · 26/02/2005 15:46

bet there are plenty of netters and relatives who would tho

SeaShells · 26/02/2005 15:47

Don't burst our bubble!

Isn't there about 10,000 mumnetters though, if they all bought one, that'd be a profit?
