MelodyDaisy -Hi. It went OK. Very busy waiting room - waited about 20 mins. She had to answer few questions then had to play with a rubiks cube, which she hasn't seen one before. There were about 30 other children. Have not heard anything from agency but it was good first experience.

3kids1cat · 02/09/2008 21:21

Hi Steph, we are there at 11.10, so don't worry, and ahe squeezed us in because I couldn't make it to a later time. That'll be nice then, to see someone from here. How old is your dc? Sorry, not sure if you have a dd or ds.

MelodyDaisy · 02/09/2008 21:36

Bubbahead-Blimey! That's alot of children all at one time!! lol

Onthebeach - Hi. My DD is 5 and she is with BK, what about you? We live in Goring-by-Sea.

mygirlsmum - Hi. We were number 85, thought it was OK but seemed a lit bit chaotic in that small waiting room.

mygirlsmum · 03/09/2008 10:07

Bubbahead · 03/09/2008 10:17

Onthebeach · 03/09/2008 12:13

bubbahead, just realised I can't!
I don't know how to send you my e-mail address without putting it on the talk board.
I used to live in Goring, we live a little along from there now.

bogie · 03/09/2008 14:27

pamelat- Dk are also a decent midlands agency with very low start up costs
dkmodels.net I think there site is

LilRedWG · 03/09/2008 17:45

I looked at DK but although they don't have aregistration charge, they do insist on using their photographers for a shoot, which costs IRO £120.

bogie · 03/09/2008 17:47

That must be a new thing they are doing then because ds didn't have to do that.
Do you get the prints to keep from the shoot?

LilRedWG · 03/09/2008 18:48

Y'know - I think I had them mixed up with someone else. It does say that you need to arrange a photo shoot but doesn't mention cot. Very sorry for any confusion.

Does anyone have their UAN consultation tomorrow?

MelodyDaisy · 03/09/2008 22:17

Steph8880, good luck to you too, hope you all get the answers you want from your consultations, please let us know how you all get one. Will they tell you there and then if it's a yay or a nay?

puffling · 03/09/2008 22:22

My UAN one is friday. Have spent the day looking for white tops (which must be worn). It's harder than you'd think. Everythings either got logo or a pattern on. it.

Steph8880 · 03/09/2008 22:33

Thanks MelodyDaisy email said they will let everyone know by Fri 12th Sept.

Puffling - know what you mean, DD's only plain white tops are her PE t-shirts, will have to go shopping Sat!Do the Denim bottoms have to be plain too or can they have embroidery do you think? Don't they just take head and shoulder shots anyway?

Good luck to all with appointments!!

puffling · 03/09/2008 23:05

A netmums person said she thinks they'd prefer the jeans plain.

MelodyDaisy · 03/09/2008 23:10

In this industry first impressions will alway's count!
Try Gap for plain tops, although a school polo t-shirt will look quite nice with denim anyway!

marymay · 03/09/2008 23:20

Hi..With the older children u/a do a full length picture that why they all have to wear demin .Have you tried h&m or primark .Thats where i got dd and ds for their last lot of photo updated,

MelodyDaisy · 03/09/2008 23:38

Actually saying that, my kids just had their photoshoot and they prefer the round neck of just a normal t-shirt, said it works better, M&S should have some plain t-shirts too. You could alway's phone and ask them about t-shirt v polo t-shirt just incase!
