Hi. Just wanted to say that my DS1 has a casting on Monday already and only went to see AK 2 weeks ago!!

Anyone else got castings/jobs coming up?

natnoonoo, I have just received a call for my DD for the Dora casting tomorrow as well!! lol

This is not a joke post. DD has been provisionally accepted by some decent agencies. The thing is, she has inherited my cankles! Last winter, she didn't fit any zip up boots. I feel embarassed about going for interview and them turning her down based in her legs. Any honest thoughts?

Melodydaisy, your ds has had more already than some children get in a year!!
Good for him, hope it keeps up.
Had a checked availabilty for my youngest ds yesterday, but not had a call back which was a shame.

They don't alway's get back to you straight away though do they, so could be something, you never know!
I wasn't even told about DS1's pencil for Disney DVD, until I got an email reminding me to get a school note for the job on 4th and 5th!! I had to email back saying what? I know nothing and thought they'd emailed me in by mistake They'd thought they'd already let me know!!
Let us know Onthebeach when you do get one!x

DD has an assessment with Rascals.

I've also tried Bizzy Kids and am just waiting for a reply from them.

Me again.... I've now had a yes from KK, TS, ES and R. I think I've decided to go with KK. Does anyone have any experience of them. I have so far found them very helpful on the phone and the fees are reasonable (£100 for 3 years). I have test shoot set up for next week and am not required to pay any money up front for this. Any advise would be welcome. thanks

BB have turned DD down. They said earlier - before they saw pics - that they were'nt really looking at two year olds at the moment as they weren't as saleable as babies or 3+s.

kk very new,i know they been going for 3 yrs but when u/a and ak been going for that amount of time everyone had heard of them and seen them at castings but this is not the case with kk

DD had her 1st casting today(11 days) and loved it! I was so unsure but she was a star and had them all laughing and she enjoyed every minute of it so can't ask for more

Didn't see any other mums/kids from these board's but I hope their kids had as much fun as my DD did! x

WE WERE THERE AT HALF 1PM. (sorry caps) there were other boys there and one girl just going in.

Apparantly they are seeing about 50, they need one girl, one boy. Shoot dates are 5/6 sept.

DD went to the dora casting too, she enjoyed it but was a lot more reserved than she is at home, and I think for tv work they need children who are not afraid to be loud and outgoing.

She was the first child to be seen, what numbers were your dc's? I got the impression they were seeing lots.

ichef - I got a no from BB and KL but I sent them different pics to ones I have sent to the more recent agencies and the new pics have all had a yes. Rather supid, I know. Dont ask me why - I have no idea !! I have tried to download pics to MOT but it doesn't seem to work. If KK is not very well known maybe I should reconsider.....

My DD was no.33!! :0)
Were due there at 1pm, but arrived at 12.30pm and started straight away, a child was due at 12.30pm but hadn't turned up!

They were seeing 50 kids and require 1boy and 1girl.

Just wondered what age are your kids that went there today? As my DD is quite small for a 5yr old so just wondered.

My DD ate LOADS of their chocolate brownie's!!

hi melodydaisy glad your dd enjoyed herself so did my dd, she did ok for her first time but i doubt she'll get it. i didnt see anyone there i arrived at 11 and as i left a couple was turning up. shame she was on her own she would have liked to see other kids there

we were 18, my dd is 7 125cm, funny my daughter was pinching all the food, flap jacks,sandwiches, fruit the lot. so i wonder what age they are actually looking for

my dd is 5 too, ur dd looks older than that on your profile melody.
I guess they'll try and match a boy and girl who look good together, similar age, height etc.

Glad your DD enjoyed her 1st casting too! I was soo nervouse about how my DD would cope with her first casting!! We do worry too much sometimes don't we?!lol

I kept telling my DD there will be lot's of other children there going for the same part and there was no-one!! lol

Oops! Seems that I missed the last bit of your post!!

Seems they are not sure what sort of age they are looking for then as that's quite a range!! lol

3kids1cat-My DD wears 3yr old clothes and height is 97.7cm !! pmsl
So unless they had another child who's age 3 then there's no hope!! lol
Oh well, on to the next
Looks like the age group they are looking for is between those 2 ages then.

natnoonoo-Your DD is taller than my DS1 who's 9!! He's only 121.9cm!!
