Morning all. Raining lightly here, with solid cloud cover. Plans are exercise and work. DS has his driving lesson, so I don't need to pick him up. Thrilling stuff!

Afternoon/evening. Heavy showers on and off all day. We managed to get a walk in earlier but the wind was cold.

Didn’t go for a walk but had to go out to get a gift card for a birthday. Managed to pick the time of day when it threw it down.

Can’t help thinking I should be doing something useful and productive like having a good tidy up and clear out.

We're had a bit of rain today, but mostly drizzly, heading to light rain. So things are damp. That's about it, nothing much happening really. IdiotKitty continues to tolerate kittens in short doses and then run away from them. Kittens are desperate to escape outside, but have no concept of cat flaps, so that's ok for now - other than the faff of going outside without them escaping.

None of the forecast thunderstorms have shown up and what was supposed to be lovely weather on Thursday and Friday has changed to just Friday.

Going to visit parents this morning and then haircut this afternoon.

Morning all. IdiotKitty has a well-timed rat last night (I'd gone to bed and DH had to clean it up). Idiot is uninterested in breakfast and is still snoozing in his favourite box. The kittens are hyperactive lunatics.

Sunny and cloudy here - I need to check a forecast to get an idea of what I need to wear for work.

Honestly Helen, there’s a series of books there somewhere about IdiotKitty and then the arrival of the hyperactive kittens. Perhaps not so much with the dead wildlife though 😁

DS moved into his new flat today - he is officially a homeowner 🎉😊 Poor chap has been very stressed so hope he'll be able to relax a bit now. The whole process has taken up most of the last two days for me, so not much of a break really, but I was pleased to be of some help. The builders are doing work outside and it's a bit slow - bit of a hiccup on Monday and then yesterday was too wet and windy for them to do anything. Much more progress today though and hoping for the same for the rest of the week.

Congrats to FancyDS, and sympathies to Fancy on stressed DS, and building hiccups. My godson's house managed to complete the day before his mortgage offer ran out - nothing like cutting it fine!

I have started helping on the preparation for the 3-day village fair, and come home for lunch where Slinky has given me unwanted acupuncture whilst scrambling up my back Ouch.

My laptop is telling me that the UV is very high outside. Given the hazy levels of sunshine, I'm not convinced. Also, judging by past experience, it usually tells me about the weather in France where we were skiing, so it may be accurate, but is also of no use to me here!

I'm a single female, 48, no DC. I share my space with a (doted on) small, male house rabbit called Cloud.

Afternoon. We arrived back last night, no problems on the way. We left glorious sunshine but it was raining here. Thunderstorms were forecast there too but never materialised. It’s looking good from tomorrow onwards, so fingers crossed.

Congrats to FancyDS, property buying is very stressful. DS was made redundant through no fault of his own on the day before they were due to complete on a previous house purchase and he was worried sick that the mortgage wouldn’t go through. All was well though and he got himself sorted pretty quickly.

Hello Meteorite, pull up a chair and help yourself to whatever’s on offer at the bar. It used to be exciting here when The Musketeers were around but they don’t very often ever visit now but we live in hope.

Oh - and not exactly wildlife, but met a large fluffy cat on the road today - white with a dark face. Never seen that one before, and suspect new people on the road have a posh-looking cat (it had better stay clear of this end of the road). Actual wildlife was a couple of hares and some deer. One hare set off like a bat out of hell down the tramlines in the field, the other just sank down and vanished into the wheat.

Got engrossed in finishing a blanket last night and before I knew it it was bedtime.

I was very good and didn’t even look for more books. Shelves are looking a lot tidier. We shan’t mention the overspill in the other bedroom.

Much more progress from the builders over the last couple of days & things are looking better. They spotted another issue with a wall yesterday, but fortunately it's not my wall As one of the next jobs is some exterior painting the weather may be too hot next week - 'sublime' & 'ridiculous' spring to mind <side eyes the weather>

Welcome meteorite, especially as you've prompted helen to post a Musketeers picture, it's brightened up my lunch hour. A house rabbit sounds cute - we've had many a Tavern Cat in here, but yours is the first bunny. Just keep him away from IdiotKitty & you'll be fine.

No new books letus?! I found a Waterstones voucher this week - spent it on one book & bought another book while I was in there. No self control.

Lovely day although the wind got a bit carried away early evening. Had a very relaxed lunch with BestFriend. Sat outside with a pitcher of Pimms and really delicious food. We were super virtuous and walked it both ways which was almost four miles. Not used to that at all!

Hurrah for building progress Fancy and the wall not being your issue! Just remembered I still haven’t got the latest Strike which I think must be out in paperback by now.

It's a good job I had to get up early (early for me on a weekend that is 😁 ) for the plumber as a chainsaw has started up next door. Anyhow, toilet is now fixed and I am up and I am now free to see how many loads of washing I can get done.

Afternoon. Another lovely day. DH is doing an electric job in DD's garden, and it doesn't sound as if it's going well.

Very impressive walking four miles LetUs. Pitcher of Pimms and good food sounds lovely.

Hope the village show is going well Helen. We have been watching Legends, we're on the last episode tonight. It's been good although I can't claim to have understood it all. TB plays a Cockney gangster type and as usual he carries it off very well.

Hope you managed to do lots of washing Fancy. I didn't have enough for a full load today.
