Afternoon. Cloudy most of the day but still quite warm. We also have possible rain on Tuesday but it probably won’t happen. We get the muck-spreading round here too, but it hasn’t been noticeable yet this year.

Nothing of interest going on. Hope everyone’s had a relaxing day.

Not to brag or owt, but we had rain! For about five minutes and then it stopped. Rest of the day was pleasant enough to sit out and it dried the washing. All buttons have been sewn on, well they had until now when I’ve just finished another tiny cardigan (which I started about five years ago). Read for a bit too.

We have one of those rubbish waste places which isn’t that close but if the wind’s blowing in the wrong direction, it’s super stinky.

We went out to a local event, which turned out to be a Friday/Saturday event. Oops . So we went to a different local event instead (having already been roped in to setting up and then packing up again at the end).

Also had a doze in the afternoon. Sudokus have been done, and Slinky brought in another mouse, which I donated to the field next door because she hasn't got the idea of eating them yet. Spot had another feather.

Afternoon. We also had some rain in the night, not much but it helps. A lot cooler, but still pleasant.

This morning I had an altercation on the car park at our local little Sainsbury’s. A car was pulling out and the driver had stopped and I think he was on his phone. Thinking he hadn’t seen me I tapped my horn and he went mental, shouting at me through the window. I managed to get past and stuck my finger up at him. Well, he came after me and cut me up as I was parking. Then as I walked to the shop he shouted “stupid old bat, learn to drive”. I may have called him a bastard. Then he drove off still shouting obscenities through the open passenger window so I continued to leave my finger up at him. It quite shook me, why are people so angry?

You’re doing really well with your knitting/crochet projects LetUs. I wish I could get the motivation to start something.

Shame about the wrong day for the event Helen. And sweet Spot with her feathers. There are some big ones on our lawn, don’t know what’s been going on.

Evening all. I meant to post this morning, but got distracted and had nothing much to say anyway.

I hung washing out to dry today... and it's still a bit damp!! There was another tiny bit of rain overnight but not even enough to damp down the dust, so, meh.

Today was work and watering the garden. And some emergency baking which I meant to do yesterday but ran out of time.

People can be such twats in cars Apricot. We've got new people on the road who seem to think that reversing is beneath them - bearing in mind it's a single track road... I made one of them reverse today because they were a car's length past an easy passing point. They had buckets of space to pull in, but left their car sticking out as far as possible into the road so I had to squeeze past them. Twats.

Fucking hell Apricot, what a complete and utter bellend that excuse of a man was 😡 . There are some unnecessarily angry people out there and we can only hope that very soon they get their comeuppance. Not surprised you were shaken up but bloody well done on standing your ground and calling him a bastard. And giving him the finger, a lot.

I really should get going again with the cardigan I’m making for myself before the evenings get too dark. So obviously I’ve started a baby hat.

We’ve had rain too. Drizzly stuff this morning, the sort that your windscreen wipers don’t quite know what to do with, then an attempt at big ploppy drops as I left work but that didn’t last.

Well done on making that person reverse Helen, even if they were then a knobhead. Some folk shouldn’t be allowed out.

Quite what prompted a dream where I go into a small diy shop for a little square of foam board which then becomes a glass of blackcurrant cordial on a tray that I have to help a waitress carry (she has the rest of the order) to a table at our local quite posh garden centre restaurant, but it involves clambering over rooftops to get there, I’ll never know.

Evening. Got very excited last night as I heard rain - about 5 minutes of very half hearted spitting <sighs> we may be getting some tomorrow, but as it's Tuesday I doubt it. In lieu of a rain dance I have watered the garden and I have bedding on the line......

What an utter bellend apricot, it's horrible when people are so bloody nasty. Yay for giving him a bit of grief though.

Less dramatic, I might have indicated to neighbour opposite, who was clearly peeved at all the pavement parking on our road, who the owner of one of the cars was. Am also getting fed up - especially when one was slightly overhanging my drive last week. It's not like there's width to spare on my drive!

We got rain last night - about 1cm! The main water butts are full again - hurrah!!! This is after I trundled around the garden watering last night Still, I'll take that.

Look after your arm if it needs a rest LetUs. Mine is still not right, though possibly slightly improved after 4-5 weeks of trying to remember to do the very boring exercises.

Afternoon. We had quite a lot of rain in the night, enough for DH to not water the plants. It’s been cloudy all day but still quite warm. I spoke too soon the other day about the lack of muck-spreading. It hits you when you open a window or a door.

DD had a scare yesterday, she smelled smoke in the house and went to investigate, only to find two teens starting a fire in the large green (now brown) area next to their house. Honestly, have they no sense? She gave them a good telling off and she and her DH put it out, but goodness knows what would have happened if they hadn’t been in. There are loads of bushes and trees in the area. She reported it to the police but they didn’t want to know.

We’ve had a fair bit of rain today, not loads though.

I’ve found some good NHS shoulder exercises to do, some of which I can do during the day at work too.

Massive task has landed on me and NC. Client is apparently expecting what they’ve asked for by the end of the week. We’ve told fee earner that will not be happening because of mammothness of task, I’m short day tomorrow and on leave on Friday, and we do still have work for many other people. So no.

Morning all. High cloud with a bit of blue sky this morning, with a tiny bit of overnight rain. I came down to a very quiet house - kittens have worked out how to use the cat flap, for getting out at least. They came scooting in at the back door when I opened it.

I currently have Spot curled up on me and purring her head off, which is very sweet but I do have an early start at BoringOfficeJob so I'm going to have to turf her off

Afternoon. We had some more rain overnight, and then around lunchtime we had a downpour. I was so fascinated to see rain after all this time that I completely forgot I had two lines full of washing. It was too late to fetch it in, but it just had an extra rinse and dried again afterwards.

Work was busy which was to be expected. Just have to be very methodical with what we’re doing and try not to get too cross at the shit organisation of the papers and the stuff on the computer.

Rain on and off, including a proper downpour just before I left the blood donation place. Went quite quickly for a change and the rain had more or less stopped when I left. We have heavy rain and thunder forecast tonight and tomorrow.

Evening all. We've had a slow-moving thunderstorm this evening, so at least 15mm rain! Whoop!

I stopped into Aldi on the way home and got one of those cardboard doughnuts for cats from the aisle of randomness (seen on Facebook quite often). The kittens are actually quite keen.

I also have a headache which is annoying, but will force me to have an early night, so there's that.

Afternoon all. The headache came back this morning so I ended up back in bed, and re-surfaced later having had very weird 'can't wake up' dreams, and feeling completely discombobulated.

We've had a few more rumbles of thunder, and a short shower, but nothing more exciting than that. Which reminds me (rain), I need new wellies because mine have fallen apart. The heel and sole started detaching and the rubber started splitting up one side. They are ex-wellingtons. They are deceased, etc. etc.

Afternoon. More overnight rain and heavy showers today. I think we can safely say that normal service has been resumed.

I tried to order one of those doughnut toys for Misty but they said they didn’t deliver to our address. I’ll have to look elsewhere.

We’re going out this evening for DD’s birthday. We’re still working on her photobook. It’s perhaps good that it wasn’t finished in time as we can include her birthday pics.

Early morning was lovely, evening has been super including a surprise visit from DS1 and fiancée. The work bit in the middle was knackering. I have a drink now and I’m off tomorrow so woohoo!

Evening all. Some thunder here (rumbles) but not much in the way of rain, and now obvious lightning. The lightning map shows a big storm to the north West of us, but it passed us by.

DS is out at work, and has been kept later than planned - we've had a very grumpy voice note from him saying that he wasn't pleased about it. I'm hoping that he's managing to mask his irritation!
