Fancy - are you hoarding the FAF-with-transport? <cbf>

I have been a hive of activity so far today, so there are apples on the hob, washing in the machine (I'm ignoring the rather alarming clunking noises coming from the machine, wonder if I should get it looked at before it does something terminal though.) and I have done the exercises and (just) remembered in time to get a card in the post. Now I'm having breakfast Hmm before cracking on with work.

Useful info for wenches - if you ever want a relaxing book/n/bath, don't do it when you're alone in the house with no-one to keep the deaf cat company. Baths accompanied by full volume yowls for attention are not remotely relaxing.

ApricotCrush · 26/10/2024 17:19

Afternoon. Nice day but I haven't done much.

Grin Fancy, what have you done with it all? Wink

Good heavens Helen, you have been productive. Glad you feel better.

Hope you have a better night tonight LetUs. I have bad nights, horrible dreams which I think is due to my medication, but I don't remember most of them, just know I've dreamt something weird.

Have a good evening all.

Evening wenches.

Been a very blah type of day. All bedding washed and mostly line dried though so that was a good thing.

<moves into Fancy’s>

Rubbish sleep here seems to be connected to, let’s say, digestive issues.

Top tip there Helen. <meow>

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/10/2024 22:50

Evening. I've been out at SportingActivity - it was awesome amounts of fun, possibly because I didn't attempt any flips. Grin Quite tired now, probably shouldn't attempt a sudoku.

No LetUs - it's more a <MEOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!>

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/10/2024 08:08

Morning all. Sunshine!!!!! Should have done the washing today - it only got very slightly less damp on the line yesterday - today looks much more promising.

DS has a cinema outing with the horde today. So that's our afternoon gone.

IdiotKitty has been scrapping with BruiserCat over the road, and had an alarmingly red patch of normally white fur yesterday. Am hoping it's far worse than it looked (he didn't see bothered), since we're away for a mini-meet for some of next week, and don't really want to leave Dad to sort out drugging the little idiot.

LetUsPrey · 27/10/2024 08:13

Morning wenches.

Didn’t want to wake you up with a louder meow Helen 😁 Hope IdiotKitty is okay. I bet you totally could have done flips if you’d wanted to.

Sunshine here too but colder than yesterday and no breeze so washing will be staying indoors. Usual Sunday ahead.

Have lovely days wenches.

ApricotCrush · 27/10/2024 16:26

Afternoon. Beautiful day. I’ve had a window open and got a bit of sun, it’s still quite hot. It has seemed a long day though, I hate this hour thing. It takes me a week to get used to it.

Oh, silly IdiotKitty, hope he’s alright.

Evening wenches.

Not even 6pm and it’s properly daaaaaaarrrrrk. Noooooooo. This means within a matter of weeks I’ll be able to play “are the streetlights in the car park working?” Such fun.

Has been surprisingly pleasant for the time of year though, apart from the rain that’s been really coming down for an hour.

Finished crocheting a little blanket for a doll, using up yarn I won’t really use for anything else but the dolls won’t complain. Although if they do, the pupils at niece’s school will get a bit of a fright 😁

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/10/2024 18:34

Grin at talking dolls LetUs - I think that they may have been a support act at the Guildford festival in 2003.

It is disconcertingly dark out there - even with the clocks going back it feels much later than it is. Sad
IdiotKitty seems fine - he's been quite happy to have a good rub where he was bloody, so I assume he's managed to avoid an infection - fingers crossed etc. IntelligentCat is asleep on my lap now, which is inconvenient since I have to go and close the woodburner door. (I carried her to the woodburner with me, and now I've sat back down, she's jumped off in disgust. Stupid Cat.)

Also, yes - I could absolutely have nailed lots of flips - I just didn't want to end up in A&E embarrass anyone else with my brilliance Hmm

LetUsPrey · 28/10/2024 07:27

Morning wenches.

Guildford Festival 2003 😁

Good news re IdiotKitty. Not showing up others by not showcasing our brilliance - is the wench way.

Monday appears to be here again. Almost November too. Must start making lists for you know what in December.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/10/2024 08:18

Hurrah - half term - I don't have to get up and do the college run! Though the cats and chickens still want feeding, and their internal clocks haven't gone back an hour...

Today is washing <side-eyes at weather> and work, and packing/prep for a mid-week break Chez Elk.

ApricotCrush · 28/10/2024 16:30

Afternoon. Dull day and it’s raining now. I did a Lidl shop this morning, it gets more expensive every time I go.

I’m not doing any lists, they’ll all have the money and they can do what they want with it. I’m hoping to get out of cooking one of the meals this year now that DS has his own house. DD usually does Christmas Day now. I’ve been saying this for years but I really have had enough.

Grin at Talking Dolls.

Evening wenches.

Have a lovely break Helen.

Rain here too. I say the same about cutting back on cards etc every year. I’ve already cut back on a lot of cards - both sides of the family. DH then says oh but we should one to xyz so I tell him he’s more than welcome to do that and here’s the cards and the addresses. Surprisingly it becomes less important.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/10/2024 20:49

Evening. Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiireeeeeeeeeed. <whinge, whinge, wail>

We had cloudy but dry weather for long enough to get washing dry-ish on the line.

I'm not even thinking about that time of year yet.

LetUsPrey · 29/10/2024 07:28

Morning wenches.

I’m determined to be more organised about you know what this year. Won’t happen.

Not really getting going today. Broken sleep again not helping, and basically dreading work. Ah well, let’s slap on a smile and get on with it.

Have great days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/10/2024 09:43

Morning all.

<cwtch> LetUs - Is it just the usual shiteness of work, with extra 'idiotic new system' piles on top?

There is much flailing here while we try to get the car packed. Weather is grey and uninspiring, but not rainy or windy, so that's a plus.

Have a good day all.

FancyFancy · 29/10/2024 13:19

Have a good trip helen

Now that DD's birthday has passed I should start thinking about you-know-what, otherwise it will just creep up on me.

Working at home today - Chonk is squeaking pathetically at me as his body clock still needs to adjust & he thinks lunch is late.

ApricotCrush · 29/10/2024 16:30

Afternoon. A bit grey and gloomy here and it's getting daaaark already.

Oh LetUs it's awful when you dread work. Hope today hasn't been too bad for you. <cwtch>

Aaaaw at Chonk.

Have a lovely time Helen.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 29/10/2024 19:38

Evening wenches.

Is more or less what you said Helen re work. It was as expected today. Le sigh.

Never thought of the clock change from the point of view of animals and them thinking oi where’s my food?

Have a lovely time Helen.

LetUsPrey · 30/10/2024 07:19

Morning wenches.

Definitely looks colder outside than it was yesterday.

Short day so hurrah for that. DH has left out the tub that we keep the flapjacks in. It’s empty and he’s left it right next to my bag. As hints go it’s not a subtle one 😁 Won’t take me long to make some when I get home.

Have great days wenches.

ApricotCrush · 30/10/2024 17:03

Afternoon. Another grey dismal day here. Nothing much going on.

Oh, that’s a hint and a half LetUs. Grin

Have a good evening all.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 30/10/2024 19:40

Evening wenches.

Miserable grey day here too.

Tub now filled with freshly made flapjacks.

Getting mighty sick of people coming into mine and NiceColleague’s room and asking how something’s done on the new system. We’ve had the same training and the videos are available but if it requires a bit of thought, no chance.

Went shopping after work and bought baby toys for upcoming birthday and then for you know what. There’s so much to choose from!

Think I’ll do bath’n’book.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/10/2024 19:42

Evening all. The drive yesterday was quite nice, weather-wise. Today has been grey and dismal and in the clouds up on the hills.
There has been much juggling of socialising and walking and trying to work, bt the company is wonderful as ever Grin
My laptop is about to run out of battery though - erk.

Hope that the short day was good LetUs and that Flapjacks have been made, and Chonk isn't too traumatised, and everyone has had a good couple of days.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 30/10/2024 20:49

I've had such weird dreams lately. Last night I dreamt that I was going to the hairdresser, either the hairdresser or the salon was named Corona, and I was like "oh, like the virus?" Then there was time for a flying lesson and the pilot was doing a loop and I felt really dizzy in my sleep or if I dreamt I felt dizzy, no idea.

Hope you're having a good trip Helen Smile

Wine for Letus.

[cod] for Chonk

FancyFancy · 30/10/2024 22:30

Evening Work, hmmm. I'd rather not Grin
Well that hint from MrLetus was about as subtle as Chonk when his meal is late! He thanks you for the fish though ww

Floof the Goof continues to live up to his name - fell off the cat tree on Tuesday when he rolled over <facepalm>

Yay for a good trip up helen
