Unexpected roadworks this morning and afternoon. Work was let’s say challenging. Got home and did the ironing I didn’t do on Sunday because ill and then wrapped DS2’s presents for Saturday.

Evening all. I am not snoozing, I am staying up to try and then get a sensible night's sleep. I did snooze this morning - then woke up from a bonkers dream where my laptop was stolen from a beach in Spain , and went straight into a visual migraine - talk about insult to injury!

This evening I have cooked, and failed to do a sudoku. Hayloft shortly.

Afternoon. Nice day and not cold but I didn’t do any washing. There’s still a pile from the caravan.

We took my car in earlier for MOT which is always a worry as it is 27 years old, but it passed so phew!

Glad you’re feeling a bit better Helen. Hope the traffic wasn’t too bad LetUs and Fancy’s laptop is sorted.

We’ve finished season 1 of Wolf Hall and will start season 2 tonight.

Hurrah for car passing its MOT Apricot! Think I’ll start series 2 of Wolf Hall at the weekend. Roadworks have actually changed in that the temporary lights have gone and they’ve cut down a small stretch of each side to one lane each way which helped a lot so thank you Helen!

Thank you for the offer letus but fortunately the IT services were not needed. Things were somewhat better after the overnight back up & then this morning our IT chap arranged for a complete reboot & it was all ok after that. I don't think we'll be swapping him with yours......

I was planning to start Wolf Hall tonight, but we watched Day of the Jackal instead, which is also very good.

Oh, there’s only the one episode of Wolf Hall on the i-Player, looks like we’ll have to go back to the old way of having to wait a week for the next episode.

Have a cold brewing, or something anyhow. Feeling a bit tired and like there is a battle going on in my nose and top of the mouth. Am planning on a nice warm bath and a vodka, followed by a non-taxing film. I have Testament of Youth recorded, but that's probably going to be too hard going - I want fluff

I've just been watching 'The Lady in the Van' which has been on the box since Maggie Smith died. It's not quite 'entertaining fluff' though!

Work wasn't too bad - I even managed to reconcile a project which has been bugging me for weeks. Hurrah! Always nice to have a bit of proof I'm not as inept as I feel sometimes (when I'm working out how many of the problems are caused by my own mistakes earlier in the process).

Hope that work has been bearable for everyone else.

I did mean to post this morning, I was just distracted by the internet, then I went out and met up with a friend for a natter, which was nice. I also confused Fancy by messaging her a photo that was meant for someone else, which wasn't even remotely interesting (one of those 'Saw this in the shop, thought of you' photos).

Now I'm back and it's dark and damp and dismal. Through the dampness held off long enough that my towels got mostly dry, and I got them in before they got wet again. #WinningAtAdulting

Apparently my driving licence needs to be renewed. More adulting required.

Feeling a bit better than I was this morning thanks, so am hoping tomorrow will be better still. Have been ebaying & Freecycling + a little bit of work - to catch up from being unproductive yesterday. DS is round tomorrow for some more clearing out & then hoping to go out to dinner together.
