does it not look a bit characterless? a bit like a 'house' rather than a home?

I have a decorative throw.

So noone can see i dn't iron my duvet cover .

Anna8888 · 18/03/2008 10:58

Not at all, it's very distinctive - the architecture to begin with, and the choice of furniture, lighting etc.

CountessDracula · 18/03/2008 10:59

none of the above

I do have a bedspread but it is over the whole bed for cold nights not some poncetastic little bit of stuff for decoration!

themildmanneredbunny · 18/03/2008 10:59

but who would see anyway? who goes in your bedroom apart from you and your children?

bedrooms are private spaces so who cares?

ladytophamhatt · 18/03/2008 11:01

none of them.

Anna8888 · 18/03/2008 11:01

Whenever people come over/come to stay they always want to visit every nook and cranny, I find

VintageGardenia · 18/03/2008 11:02

Nope and if there's one decorative thing that I will never understand it's fat slippy cushions on a bed. What happens to them at night? Does one arrange oneself on them in a halterneck net nightie, and stay arranged till dawn, or chuck em on the floor? Or do they slip off during the night?

MrsMattie · 18/03/2008 11:03

None of these. Abundance of cushions on beds = so wrong. I hate to see it. It's just too Next-Directory-tastic for my liking.

princessmel · 18/03/2008 11:03

Not me. But my room looks like a grimy bedsit at the moment.

Its being decorated. Well supposed to be being decorated. Dh started it in November. Still not taken all the paper down yet. There was 5 layers and its on the ceiling too. YUK. I will have a nice throw when its done.

1, 2 and 4.

Anna8888 · 18/03/2008 11:05

Cushions on bed are only a step away from soft toys on bed IMO

I do sometimes have a scented candle, and the walls are very pale blue.

No pictures, dark wood bed, white or blue bed linen, dark old chest of drawers, my granny's oak dressing table with triple mirrors which let you see the size of your behind, or allow toddlers to admire infinity copies of themselves.
