1.Vases of flowers - Rarely
2.Scented candles - Never
3.Decorative cushions on the bed - Never
4.A throw in a cooredinating colour over the centre or end of the bed - Never

But I am a decorating minimalist

2, 3 & 4.

camillathechicken · 18/03/2008 10:22

2,3 & 4

beckybloomwood · 18/03/2008 10:24

2, 3 & 4 in previous house.

None in this small dim hovel house.

meemar · 18/03/2008 10:24

2, but it never gets lit

ComeOVeneer · 18/03/2008 10:24

All of them. Is that bad?

HonorMatopoeia · 18/03/2008 10:25

none, not enough room for anything decorative!

themildmanneredbunny · 18/03/2008 10:26

now anna-i thoughtt you'd have had all of them!

i was reading an article in a magazine about how blue is the new colour and showing a bedroom and all the stuff you should have in it.
and i don't have any of it.

so i wondered ' WHO does have this stuff?'

flowers would be knocked over-particularly if they are on the bedside table as shown in article. candles would set something on fire-probably a an item of clothing that has been thrown!
cushions-annoying
throw-would fall off.

all of them
why?

ComeOVeneer · 18/03/2008 10:28

Dh also can't understand why we have loads of cushions on the bed, but he has learnt not to argue with me when it comes to decorating/furnishing/acessorizing the house

ingles2 · 18/03/2008 10:29

ah... x post

Anna8888 · 18/03/2008 10:33

Sometimes I have a single flower, or three buds, in a silver vase on my dressing table - they reflect in my three-way mirror .

I don't like ornaments or pictures or mess. I like space and light.

themildmanneredbunny · 18/03/2008 10:51

really? no pictures?

i love pictures in a room. and photographs.

I completely agree with you tmmj.

Flowers especially would just be asking for trouble with ds.

WallOfSilence · 18/03/2008 10:56

None of the above, but I do have a multigym & a crosstrainer

And a broken wardrobe door.

Anna8888 · 18/03/2008 10:56

No, no pictures (my partner has a few, but they are stored in a cupboard... he used to hint about hanging them, I pushed back, and now he no longer talks about them as we have had so many compliments about our spare-look decorations ). It is very restful chez nous .

chickytwotimes · 18/03/2008 10:56

I have cushions and a throw at the bottom of the bed.

themildmanneredbunny · 18/03/2008 10:57

does it not look a bit characterless? a bit like a 'house' rather than a home?
