We flew to Gozo with dd3 being two a couple of weeks before..she loved it and was really well behaved!...the thought was far more daunting than the reality!

Egg · 17/03/2008 16:21

Had a great day!

Apart from the police

And getting locked out with babies in house, and me outside, with friend and one of her boys, but not the other, and no shoes.

Two unrelated incidents btw.

Weeeeeell.

Friend came, with dog. Dog only 16 weeks old and v bouncy so dog got put in garden so as not to eat babies (dog did bounce at DD and lick her, she didn't even notice ).

So...dog barks and barks and barks and barks.

Lady comes and knocks on door and says she is from TWO STREETS DOWN and has had enough of dog barking. Explain babies and dog situation and say tis just a visitor and we will bring dog in.

So bring dog in, babies go upstairs.

Then 10 mins later police arrive saying they have been informed of mad dog. They did say the phonecall was out of concern as not normally a dog barking here and worried there was a burglary or something .

So police took my name and took note that dog was now in house and quiet so they left us and were very nice about it all.

Then a couple of hours later friend was getting ready to leave and I was helping her with things to car when door blows closed. She had already put 15 month old baby in car but dog was back out in garden (barking) while we loaded car and her three-year old was also in house. Both my babies were on floor under activity arch crying .

Thankfully three-year old did as he was told and tried to open door but couldn't reach. We stood out there trying not to panic while he went and got DS1's car to stand on so he could reach it and let us in. Twas a bit nailbiting but all worked out in the end. Think tomorrow I will get a key cut for a neighbour...

So that was all. Not really that exciting.

Now I must go and read what you have been up to as I have not been keeping up .

Egg · 17/03/2008 17:55

Hmm, about as good looking as last week's Tesco man . Marmite will know what I mean!!! Actually, policeman was v nice, and not unattractive, just didn't do it for me (I am happily married you know...).

Got to go and bath DS1 so I can feed DTs at 6:30pm. DD not feeding v well today. Shre is so snotty and miserable poor love. She is asleep at the mo while DS2 is lively and kicking under the arch.

morning.

Sounds like an exciting day, egg - not sure exciting for the right reasons though...

We were locked out once. I made dd2 climb through the cat flap and bring my keys out to me via the same cat flap

Luckily, they weren't on the hook where they normally are, there is no way she would have been able to reach them.

Twas all dp's fault. It is impossible to lock yourself out of our house without going to some serious effort to actually shut the door (you have to turn two handles at the same time). He should really have checked whether I had my key.

And when he condescendingly said "well, it's a bloody good job I've got my key" he should have bloody well checked that he did, in fact, have his key.

twunty dp

How is everyone today? Up to much? We've dropped dd2 off at nursery then ds and I went to the library. He was very good. I normally get about as far as the shelf of authors beginning with B before he starts playing up. Today, my book's author begins with a W

I will put up links as soon as I see a place I really like.
Phono - no I will still be over here..not over there!

No it won't be a masion Squonk...Phono can tell you what sort of prices a mere hose goes for down here...

Egg · 18/03/2008 11:54

Morning all. Popping in quickly as I think one baby or another will puke shortly as both just been fed. DS1 out with doula at swings.

Just wanted to say at Fred moving house. Are you mad. I moved house and started a new job once at the same time and that was bad enough.

Is this cos you can get something bigger now?????????????

I want to move house as I find looking at property details and round houses v exciting. Can I come to viewings? Think we will be here (renting) for another year or so.

Squonk impressed with DS's behaviour in library. Last time I took my DS1 he got hit by another boy repeatedly so we never went back.

Babies were crap last night. V unsettled. had to hoover out DD's nose a few times as she was so blocked up. She has fed well today though .

Phono my DS1 was up at same time. Sadly I was already awake anyway...

DS2 crying. Back later.
