Well the truth is we are renting at the mo. We sold two smaller properties when we got together and have been waiting ears for the 'right time' to buy again...

We don't want to buy a place now either, but hopefully by May we are in a position to buy a 4/5 bed house with no mortgage....

We would have been happy to stay here but the owners are returning from working abroad and have given us notice...wich means I get to play housey hunting again as well as getting maried and going on holiday!!! {shock]

Dropdeadfred · 18/03/2008 12:21

Mr Fred would be embarrassed, amused but secretly a bit proud of being discussed on here I think....

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 18/03/2008 12:27

(cups of tea in the bedroom, I mean... don't expect dp to pick me up and tell me how heavy I am )

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 18/03/2008 14:52

but we like Mr. Fred, so perhaps a teasmaid in the bedroom so he doesn't have to get out of bed first.

And he'll need to keep his strength up for other bedroom activities

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 18/03/2008 14:52

best add soundproofing for bedroom to that list

Blimey. It's all go over here . Fred looks like you will need a lot of extra cash for all the accessories in your new house.

Very exciting news though.

Uh oh. DD crying.

OP posts:

If we get the house I want it has:

4 beds (2 with ensuite)
Family bathroom
Downstairs WC
Lounge
Dining room
Study
Kitchen/breakfast room
Utility Room
Conservatory
Double Garage
Games room over garage

Loads of cash needed....poor Mr Fred...
(don't think he would have the strength to me after all that let alone lift me!!!)

hello ladies,
such exciting news around here recently, first Egg with the police and locked up house and now Fred with a new house .

Haven't posted for a few days as have been feeling really low. I had to come home from work at lunchtime today as I felt really fluey, stomach crampy and tired (still not sleeping well at night) so thought bugger work (which is proving a bit crappy as well due to people conflicts). I surprised myself by sleeping for 3 hours despite the humungous noisy diggers outside and then decided I needed some Thorntons cappuccino chocs after picking up dd from cm, so went into town and bought 2 packs and a huge selection box for SIL. Feel a bit bad as they gave me £10 too much change but I didn't think about it until later.

SIL has texted me and other close friends tonight to invite us all round on Fri night for sorrow drowning session, which has made me feel a little better.

Fred - I'm good at planning kitchens and bathrooms if you are getting new ones? If not I'll just come to the house warming party and drink all the champers/wine and then fall asleep in the corner

marmitemad · 18/03/2008 19:34

Fred - pleeeease post a link to the dream house

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 18/03/2008 19:34

It sounds wonderful.

Who gets the other en-suite?

Do your oldies share at the mo? And if you get this house, will they share and you will have a spare or will they have a room each?

You'll have room for all of us when we descend on you for a visit with all our kids

Fingers crossed that you get it.

I heart Mr. Fred

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 18/03/2008 19:36

hi marmite

Good to see your sil's inviting friends around. Twill be a sad night, but probably what everyone needs - I think you (and her other friends) need to see her and she needs to wail and rant about the unfairness of it.

Sorry you're not feeling well. Again. Did the chocs help? (did the extra tenner help? )

marmitemad · 18/03/2008 19:40

chcocs are helping a lot, every time I feel low or a little bit poorly, I eat one so they'll be gone pretty soon . dh is out tonight with work so have just settled in front of pc with pizza but no beer tonight .
