Oooh Squonk you really can't beat some good pork either...

Am off to collect DS1. Without a seat on pushchair available to him. Am hoping he will not shout and scream about buggyboard.

I have requested Sorky as a friend too now! She is indeed frightfully taaaaaaaaall and slim and pretty. She can't be a Zappata or she will be taller than our tallest member!

marmite - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

You have prezzies and stuff further down the thread (don't get too excited, they're only virtual prezzies)

Yay, I'm still the tallest zappata.

egg - did ds2 wake up? did ds1 cope with his buggyboard? was it raining?

marmitemad · 17/04/2008 17:41

Phew, Have caught up properly now, you have all been very chatty .

Hello sorkycake, we are doing ok after a traumatic family time recently, my arthritis is not fantastic atm but dd is such great fun and has just (2 days ago!) started walking. Hope you are going to stick around here, I am much more chatty when I am at work but have been on hols this week.

thank you for all the virtual pressies, have had a lovely day and am going out soon for Blubeckers dinner (have been saving room for brownies and baileys) .

Was out shopping with SIL all day yesterday and then went straight to health spa place with my Mum. Today, we have been swimming, SIL en famille came round for lunch, then we went to Tescos (as we are going to a farm tomorrow) and then took cat to vets for weight check. I popped on here briefly earlier and then dh moaned that I was addicted so had to go and have "quality" time.

My MIL turned up unannounced with my presents this morning at 08:45am, I was sitting in bed eating hot cross buns having only got up 10mins earlier, she was very and didn't stay. dh was very cross with her although I was just pleased that we weren't doing anything embarassing or that we were still in bed .

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 17:42

marmite - it sounds like you have had a lovely day.

Am at hot cross buns in bed!

Egg · 17/04/2008 17:43

No rain but it took 30 mins to get home (should take 5-10) as he needed a poo and kept hiding in all the bushes. Then he refused to go any further and refused to get on buggy board. Eventually home. Now babies are yelling, esp DD. I think she is hungry now. But if I feed her now, she wont have enough (again) and so will be hungry again in a couple of hours. If I make her wait til 6:30 when I was planning to feed them she will eat more. But I can't let her cry for 45 mins .

HAPPY BDAY MARMITE. I HOPE YOU LIKE MY PRESENT FURTHER DOWN ON THE THREAD!

Egg · 17/04/2008 18:06

OK so I caved in and fed her as she sounded desperate. I never normally give in. I am hard as nails.

So she had 70ml. Another crap feed. It will not keep her going til 10pm feed, but she wont prob take any more before 7pm bed . Why did I let myself get in this darn situation?

Dropdeadfred · 17/04/2008 18:12

Egg, you're so strong!! I couldn't listen to dd3 crying for more than 1 min ( DP = 10 secs) hence her being fed on demand..

But I see that would be hard with twins.

Perhaps next time you could just give her a teeny bit to ward off the starvation until next feed?

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 19:12

or maybe some water? or would she scream even louder if you gave her water when she thought she was getting milk?

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 19:19

showed dp the pic of the hairstyle and asked his opinion.

He said that when I feel we can afford it, I can make the appointment, and he will look after the kids. I said, yes, yes, yes I know that, but whaddya think of the style????

he looked up at his bald pate and said "you're asking the wrong bloke, dear "

so s'pose he won't care either way

Dropdeadfred · 17/04/2008 20:29

Bless Mr Squonk!!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 18/04/2008 07:37

he has his moments

I feel less cold-y today, but more ill iykwim. No bugger did the washing up for me last night, so I came downstairs this morning to find it taking over the kitchen sides [grr]

How is everyone else today? all ok?

Egg · 18/04/2008 08:02

Morning. Am ok but think I am getting another cold too . Glad yours is a bit better today. My last one (only 3 weeks ago I think) went in a few days and was only really bad for a day or two.

Babies were good last night, fed at 4am and 4:20am (one each, I don't mean they both fed twice...). DS1 up at 6:45am tho. I curse the sun. If it was pitch dark he would have gone back to sleep, esp as he was not in bed til 8pm last night due to DS2 having coughing troubles and being upset so I spent ages settling him and then wanted to dedicate some time to DS1 and his Farmyard Sticker Book.

All alone today with DCs and rain. Although it is actually quite nice to know we have no plans, and no-one is coming and so no pressure to get anything done.

Guess what DS1 is watching?

Re: DD wanting feeding too early... if I only gave her a small amount and not as much as she wanted she would carry on yelling. I did give her a bit of water about 20 mins before I gave in and gave her milk, but as it was only an hour before she was due to feed I don't want to let her have too much or it fills her up a bit. So she only had an oz (she wanted more).

Anyway, it's a new start today...

Egg · 18/04/2008 08:02

Oh, made me laugh about Mr Squonk and his bald pate!
