Just setting this up in good time so we can link to it before we lose each other...

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 17/04/2008 12:39

why do you need Oggi's approval????

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 12:40

well I don't but I shall need him to look after the littlies while I go.

And tbh, tis quite an expense for us at the moment, I would be cross with him spending forty quid without consulting with me.

We are a tad skint

Dropdeadfred · 17/04/2008 12:42

sorry squonk - I didn't mean about the money ( I understand that entirely)I thought you meant he would disapprove of you cutting your hair!!!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 12:44

oh no! That won't worry him!

Well, if he doesn't like it, he will look at me all sorrowfully for a few weeks and say things like "what have you done to yourself? it used to look so nice" but somehow, I think ANYTHING will be an improvement on what I've got right now, so he may start leering at me again

Dropdeadfred · 17/04/2008 12:48

i honestly think a med length bob with a few layers around the face will look great on you!!

Do you know of any mbile hairdressers - i have the girl who works in the salon I used to frequent come to my house now. savesme over 50%

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 13:16

my next door neighbour is a mobile hairdresser. But she only knows one style - this one and I'm not that old yet!

But she does have pretty much the whole area sewn up - nobody else will come to the village for fear of stepping on her toes.

But twas a good suggestion

Egg · 17/04/2008 14:32

So have you sorted your hair issues now? I am liking the dame edna one. Talking of whom, what IS Barry Humphries doing judging on "I'll Do Anything". He just keeps perving at the girls, as does Andrew L-W...

DTs been asleep since midday. Great, except DS2 also slept from 8:30am to 10:30am so has had waaaaaaaaaaaay too much sleep already today. Don't like to wake him, but don't want him awake all night. He was quite unsettled from about 4am as he is snotty and needed a huge poo.

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 14:50

Will speak to dp tonight about hair.

Poor ds2. Your lads don't have much luck with poos, do they

Egg · 17/04/2008 15:07

How are you feeling now Squonk? Both babies up now. One is yelling so off to make milk and then get on with nappy change. DS2 did get his poo out this morning, it certainly looked like three days' worth .

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 17/04/2008 15:08

I have to decide how to have my hair on wedding day...how did you two do yours?

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 15:08

feel like poo, since you ask

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 15:12

my wedding hair was a bit like this

but it was the early 90s so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it nearly 20 years later

Dropdeadfred · 17/04/2008 15:12

Awww thats cute!!!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 15:13

yeah, only because the only pic I could find of the hairstyle was on a twelve year old

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 15:13

make that a six year old

Egg · 17/04/2008 15:15

I will have to find a pic of me on my wedding day. I did have one on computer but it has gone missing . My hair was kind of as it is normally but with a bit up and flowers in it. It looked FAB.

Oh god, really must feed babies.

Realise we are chatting on two threads, Fred am SO SO IMPRESSED with 10.5lbs!!!!

OP posts:
sorkycake · 17/04/2008 15:17

what's zappata? it sounds like a scrummy greek dish!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 15:50

hi sorky.

Tis just a made up name really for our chat thread. But we're not a cleak, you're welcome to come in and gossip with us if you want to

(you got a pic of your hair by any chance?)

If you are particularly interested, a zapata is this kind of moustache!!!!

sorkycake · 17/04/2008 15:57

I haven't on my profile atm.

I have on fb though if you looky there.

I've just had 140 hair extensions taken out so I look rather different.

My hair looks like nicola from GA, same colour too but I don't have a fringe (with o]9
ext)

My fb pic is last year from hol's but is a bit longer now. I change it drastically every year cos it grows like bloody grass!

Squonk I've name-changed back to avoid said confusion iykwim

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 16:00

ooooh!!!! was that you?

I liked being your twin.

I don't have you on fb though. Can you find me? I have a pic of boo as my profile pic so am fairly easy to find on the mumsnet group.

Now I'm a beer guru, nobody would confuse us anyway. Feel free to change back. I won't complain, I promise

Egg · 17/04/2008 16:01

Hello sorky, now I am wanting to know what name you were before you namechanged back [nosey emoticon].

DTs being silly. DD is upset. She has only had 60ml (normally has 120ml plus) and had two poos in space of 20 mins. She doesn't want any more milk. DS has only had 120ml (normally has 160ml plus). Maybe milk tasted bleurgh this time (it always tastes bleurgh mind you...).

OP posts:
Egg · 17/04/2008 16:02

Were you called Squonkycake or something?????????????

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 16:04

oh, egg, that doesn't sound too good!

Perhaps they are saving it up so that they can be fed by daddy when he comes home?

I went to get dd2 from nursery and it's perked me up a bit, so have bunged something in the oven for tea.

Will ask dp to get a chippy tea another day.

Sorkycake was squont or someone for a while, till I chucked my dummy out and she changed, coz she's lovely

Egg · 17/04/2008 16:08

They will get fed again at 6:30ish so not too long to go, just odd, esp that DD took so little. She did have a very big feed last time, but did exactly the same yesterday and still managed over 100ml at this feed. Grrr. They are watching Countdown now.

Glad you are a bit perked. What's for tea? DS1 will hopefully eat tea at nursery at 4:15ish, and then he might have a cold sausage from yesterday later on (he is sausage obsessed).

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 16:12

you can;t beat a good sausage

I had a pork joint in the fridge that dp was going to cook on Sunday, so I've bunged that in. I'll pop some new pots in a pan and a tin of peas and we'll have a super simple tea.

I'll just have to get another joint for dp's sunday roast, that's all.
