Just setting this up in good time so we can link to it before we lose each other...

OP posts:

morning girls,

dh was incredibly grumpy yesterday with a hangover and I was the one who had been out partying!

Party was ok but I just missed my SIL so much (she would normally have gone although not if she'd still been pg/had new baby). We only had 3 cocktails as had got there so early and didn't sit down until 9:30pm which was too late for me, we had starters and mains and then left early as my friend wasn't feeling well. It was quite difficult having to talk to people about Eris so I can now understand a bit more why SIL doesn't want to see too many people yet.

clocks going forward twas a right pain as well. dh got in a strop when he rang at 10:30am while we were having breakfast so I met him at my mums a bit later. We had a nice walk and ice cream along the river at Henley but when I wanted to stop at a pub for a drink dh got annoyed at dd crying so we just came home. I think her day was all put out by the clocks as well.

Squonk - Am crossing my fingers and toes for you . Love that shopping trolley .

ol Marmite..I have to say I would have been at being left with the baby and phoning you whilst you were having breakfast at 10.0am...

I hope it gets gradually easier to talk about Eris, it must be so hard at the moment.

oh Phono, thats a long time for silence, it must be getting unbearable. Men can be so rubbish sometimes, it sounds like he is burying his head or thinks there is nothing wrong at all .

Do you think you could write him a letter or at least write a letter to yourself so you can get your thoughts straighter? it sounds like you are going to have to make the first move though .

Hope your manager is ok.

When I read back what I'd written it did sound slightly unreasonable but it was so late as the clocks had gone forward. It was also more frustrating as I had offered him the car if he dropped me off which he declined. Still I know I have been out a lot lately but to me going out does mean I get the chance to have breakfast before going home. He always comes home at the crack of dawn though after staying out and doesn't get why I don't do the same .

Dropdeadfred · 31/03/2008 12:08

Marmite....I totally get why you choose not to come home at the crack of dawn and then have to get up and deal with dd with a hangover...that's why I'm .....

Phono....just ask him what the hell the purpose of him being there is atm...what does he actually achieveor contribute to you and ds? Scare tactics defo needed I think....

Sorry Phono

I have been there and done that...I am not actually with that person anymore...but I reconise the defeat and resignation you are feeling even from your typed words...

Chin up, you've still got us!!!

We went to the new venue yesterday for a look...and to sign the contracts. It was lovely..but a very grey and muddy day yesterday...I have to imagine what it will look like with sunshine and flowers and the marquee up!

Now we just have to choose flowers, cars, menus, readings, new invites etc etc
My head was actually hurting yesterday with the sheer volume of thoughts going round and round in it....

Wow\Phono, the stress of planning one wedding is enough for me...!!!

fryalot · 31/03/2008 14:37

p0hono - hope things are better tonight. What would happen if you just started talking again? would it all be forgotten, or do you think that he will have taken some of it on board?

marmite - when I have stayed out, I haven't come home till dinner time, dp has made me a bacon and egg sandwich then sent me up to bed for the afternoon. Last time I spent a grand total of about an hour and half with the kids - and that was with them playing nurses (I was lying on the settee at the time, groaning)

fred - you know the lane that your wedding venue is on? If you don't turn down it, but carry on that main road for about 1.2 miles (according to mapquest) you get to my mum's house

I always fancied being a wedding planner, but I would be so scared that I would bugger up someone's day by forgetting somehting really important - and they'd never forgive me!

where's egg today? hope she's ok

wow Squonk, can you come to my house? what has dp been doing?

the most annoying (or perhaps good) thing about yesterday is that I was the one who went out but I didn't get a hangover, only had 3 cocktails before deciding that I would rather be in my pyjamas . And I bought a new dress for the party here

fryalot · 31/03/2008 14:49

I adore that dress
