Just setting this up in good time so we can link to it before we lose each other...

OP posts:

he's sorting out the wardrobes.

Which apparently involves removing every article of clothing that either of us possesses so that he can bring them (individually) downstairs to ask me if I want to keep it. Regardless of whether it is his or mine. Regardless of how many times I have told him that I want to keep everything of mine.

grr

gotta go, before he realises I'm here and says "I'm busy sorting out the clothes, while you're mumsnetting" in that tone he has....

aaarrrggghhh!!!!!!!

I hate it when DP tidies ( he is just like your DP Squonk)

If I want the lounge tidying I mean, dusted, hoovered and surfaces clear, DP means 'let's empty the cupboard full of crap all over the floor and three hours later cram it all back in again ,in a diffferent order obviously, and wonder why I'm fuming as the lounge still looks untidy'...

Like when we tidy up the hall for me it means lets remove all the shoes, schoolbags, extra coats etc, polish and hoover

For DP it means lets haul out everything from the cupboard under the stairs and proceed to wonder how long it is since we've used various things...then shove it all back in, in a different order obviously...blah blah blah see above

You can imagine tidying the bedroom can't you....yes, the drawers all tipped out..the bathroom, yes the cupboard all tipped out...etc etc etc

GRrrrrrrrrrr

you two are SO right!

We went swimming and managed to take a bag full of clothes to the charity shop.

The bag consisted of:

4 ties

And while we were out, his mate rang to cancel their night out tonight, so it looks like my night of MN and wine is out of the window (although I shall persuade him to put dd2 to bed, that normally sends him to sleep and out of my hair for an hour or so )

Egg · 28/03/2008 18:14

Hello have I not even checked in today. Just gave you all a mention on the "have you met an MNer" (or something similar) thread.

Feeling a bit poo. Head and nose and throat hurt. Thank god it is Friday and DH home soon.

Strangely DH does the same thing. When he "tidies" (or used to, he doesn't at all now), he always just finds various things of mine and says "can we bin this" or piles my things on the stairs for me to take up when they are things I use every day (nappies etc, do not want to have to go upstairs every time I change a nappy).

DD screaming. Think she thinks she is hungry. DS1 spent all afternoon getting a poo out. DS2 not pooed.

Squonk hope you get some wine anyway...

Phono - yes it did arrive very quickly actually and it was really lovely!!!

Squonk - tell him to go down the pub anyway!!

Egg - hope you get a good lie-in over the weekend and start to feel better.

Marmite...where are you?

fryalot · 28/03/2008 19:31

he's putting dd2 to bed.

Am considering playing lullabies through the ceiling so he falls asleep.

Tomorrow he wants us to go to the Saturday market to get some fresh veg, and a nice loaf of bread. (am trying really hard not to assume he means that the veg I bought from the greengrocers isn't fresh enough... and the bread that I baked isn't nice enough...)

phono - how are you doing? have you talked to dh yet?

marmitemad · 28/03/2008 20:25

nothing exciting to report here.

Rained all day, collected photo & lightbulbs, went to music class, got my hair cut and then went swimming. have now just got in from Tescos.

Am going out unreasonably early at 10am tomorrow to take my friend tile shopping (seemed like a good idea on Wed). Dh is already moaning because I am out overnight again at a party in Covent Garden tomorrow.

fryalot · 28/03/2008 20:28

marmite - you have such a fab social life

I was supposed to be going out tomorrow night, but I cancelled as I feel ridiculously tired and there's no way I can go nightclubbing feeling like this! (why, when the kids didn't sleep for more than three hours, was I still capable of dancing in my stocking feet until 4 in the morning, but now, when I'm regularly getting a decent night's kip, does the thought of not being in bed by 9pm fill me with dread?)

Dropdeadfred · 28/03/2008 20:30

TBH Marmite I am in awe of the amount of times you sleep out....I have NEVER spent a night away without DP since we got together almost 12 years ago...

is that just me girls or does everyone else go out and sleep over loads?

marmitemad · 28/03/2008 20:32

Don't worry, I was debating earlier whether to wear my lovely shiny black patent shoes or my comfy boots, we have to be in the venue by 6:30pm but aren't eating until 9pm . I might be asleep under the table by then and I am really not in the mood for partying either atm .

fryalot · 28/03/2008 20:34

fred - our nearest pub is 6 miles away (when it's open) and the nearest night life is 30 miles away. So if I do go out (twice if we're counting ) then I stay out, but any other option would really be completely unfeasible.

marmitemad · 28/03/2008 20:34

Squonk - did you see the april book club vote?

marmitemad · 28/03/2008 20:39

I would love to live in a village but I think we would at least need a pub .

fryalot · 28/03/2008 20:44

marmite - no, is it in... I'll be off to have a look.

Egg · 29/03/2008 10:32

I never go out and stay out all night these days. In fact, I have not been out since we moved here last August apart from one evening out with my parents in November. Before I was pg with DTs I went out I think five times since having DS1 but never stayed out overnight, but I was always out very locally (5 mins walk home).

OK night here but I lay awake with cough after feeding DTs.

Squonk - EXTREME TIREDNESS means one thing to me...... A week before I found out I was pg with the DTs I was so tired I could hardly get out of bed one Sunday morning.

As soon as I read that your DP wanted to get fresh bread I did think "but she makes her own". Tell him he can make it himself from now on perhaps.

DH just taken DS1 out into town. DS1 pooed yesterday evening but still trying for more this morning. DS2 had a poo this morning! Only 2.5 days for him!

Off to make a cuppa then get ready for next feed.

OP posts:
fryalot · 29/03/2008 14:01

egg - I have wondered about my extreme tiredness. It's possible, but too early to test, so not going to get excited yet.

the door just went. Answered it and it's dp's friend from the pub "are you ready?" he says. dp says "oh feck, I forgot... hang on" and rushed about a bit, before giving me a fleeting kiss and diving in his mate's car.

They're off to the beer festival.

out of my hair

yaaaay!!!!

I'm here for the rest of the day and night now

Egg · 29/03/2008 15:52

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh imagine if it is, how very exciting. Esp as periods are back and everything, it really could be the triplets on their way!!!!!!

Although sad you wouldn't be able to get lashed up with me at Fred's wedding .

OP posts:
fryalot · 29/03/2008 15:53

but good that I would have a valid reason for being a right fat bsr* at fred's wedding

tell me, what do you think of this?

Egg · 29/03/2008 17:39

They look fab, esp if you have arthritis or something that means carrying lots of shopping is tricky. However... would clash with orange Zapp .

OP posts:
fryalot · 29/03/2008 17:41

zapp is relegated to sitting in the boot of the car as ds has decided that he is capable of walking everywhere (which makes it double awkward with bags of shopping - I have to keep putting them down to chase after him!)

Dropdeadfred · 29/03/2008 18:31

Hi Girls....

Squonk...are you? could you be?
And you will not be a fat b*** at my wedding whether you are up the duff or not!!!

Egg - glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't sleep out anymore. TBH I wouldn't appreciate DP doing it either so neither of us do it.

Phono - how goes things with DP?

Marmite, hope DH isn'ttoo grumpy. Perhaps he is missing you though?

fryalot · 31/03/2008 07:58

morning

I am still here but have found it is best to sign on first thing in the morning before he gets up, then again in the evening when he's putting dd2 to bed. But I've been here every day so far - even weekends when I don't normally bother

I don't know if I am or not. In fact, I suspect not. I have no other symptoms and I don't feel any different. We'll know this week or next anyway. Twould be too good if I was.

HOw is everyone else?

is phono talking to dh yet?
