Just setting this up in good time so we can link to it before we lose each other...

am MSNing with her now. I'll ask her

Dropdeadfred · 31/03/2008 15:17

the trouble getting to any hotels nearby seems to be the huge detour you have to do around the river there!!!

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:19

www.a1tourism.com/uk/oystersmack.html mum is putting up my auntie here in May]]

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:20

bugger! here I mean

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:26

my mum says:
" lots of pubs do accomodation The Star, the Anchor, the White Harte and the Railway are ones that spring to mind"

all the above are in Burnham.

Dropdeadfred · 31/03/2008 15:36

thanks Squonk! I have just seen the White harte online....no pics of interior though..does your mum know if it is a dive or nice?

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:41

I can answer that, fred

It is nice inside. real fires, wooden floors, nice, clean pub. Haven't seen any of the rooms though.

Dp and I had a pint of beer in that pub on Christmas day 2006 (the only time I wore my funky purple high heeled boots)

It's two mins walk from my mums...

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:41

in fact... I have been (I think) in all the pubs in Burnham. And I don;t think I've come across a dodgy one yet.

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:44

I'll be staying with mum in May. I think, for the purposes of research, I should check out each and every pub.

I could ask to see their accommodation, then have a pint of beer, just to check that they look after it properly (you wouldn't want breakfast in a pub that had dodgy beer, now, would you )

Dropdeadfred · 31/03/2008 15:45

why did you never wear them again squonk? ( and thanks for being my personal pub/inn reviewer!!!)

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:46

mum says the Railway is the most expensive. She says that they are all ok.

I never wore them again because they are very uncomfortable and I haven't been anywhere that I am guaranteed being able to sit down when my feet hurt.

Perhaps I'll wear them to your wedding :-)

Dropdeadfred · 31/03/2008 15:49

with a purple maternity smock?

nice.....

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:50

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:50

am disappointed with that last post.

I spent AGES putting loads of spaces in between each letter and it didn't include them!

(either a purple maternity smock or a purple tent!)

fryalot · 31/03/2008 15:51

Oh bugger I wanted to come on here and say hello before going to bed as have been offline all day as have had relatives here and been rushing round madly but now I realise how LATE it is and I need to be in bed lights out by 9pm or I don't even begin to get enough sleep..........

So much going on.

Stepford Squonk please keep us posted on triplets. Very exciting! Glad you are still getting on MN every day despite DP being home too. I am normally around early, just not today as mad rush for nursery as got up at 7:22am, far later than normal (was awake from 3-6am though, so don't think it was a luxury ).

Phono feel so for you. I have only experienced briefer moments like this, when you want to talk to the other person but don't feel you can be the one to do it as it really is their fault. The good thing though is that you don't feel so downright angry about it now (even though you still have every reason to) which means it could be easier to talk about it without just shouting. I really hope you can work something out, he must be worried about the way things are going at the mo.

Thank you for the fabulous pic of DS earlier too, it did make me smile. I then sent you all a pic of DS1 and DD sitting next to each other, with a JOKE title saying "look how DS2 has grown" pretending that DS1 was in fact DS2 and he was huuuuuuuuuuge but all the other friends I sent it to seemed to think that DD was in fact DS2. I would like to point out that she was wearing a pink top, a dress, pink tights and a pink bib with a butterfly on............. WOULD I DRESS MY DS2 LIKE THAT??!?!?

Marmite - If I was staying out overnight and it was pre-arranged (ie not just cos I was too drunk to remember where I lived so ended up on a friends floor for example) then I don't think DH would expect me home at 10:30am next day, esp if it was really 9:30am. I am of course also . One day it will be ME going out on the lash (9 August anyone???).

Fred glad all is going well with wedding plans, don't forget to start the table plan in good time, it takes AAAAAGES making sure nobody is sitting with their exes or their arch rivals etc. Thank god you don't have to worry about seating us anywhere, I am a liability, you wouldn't be able to put me with anyone who is easily offended.

Bugger, it is nearly 9pm and I wanted to be in bed at 8pm. DS1 was only just in bed at 8pm the cheeky beggar, he was racing all round the house on his car and shouting "chase" at me.

hi egg

Did you get my reply to your text? I knew it was dd - and I also knew it was ds1. When I said that ds2 bore an uncanny resemblance to ds1, that was a joke also

I MSNed with my mum before and she says that you are more than welcome to stay at her place for the night of fred's wedding. As long as you realise that she has a one bedroomed flat, where her, plus us five, plus you will be expected to find somewhere to kip.

As long as you don't mind curling up in the bottom of the shower (she doesn't have a bath) or under the bed or something, she's fine with you staying.

Stepford squonk is taking a day off tomorrow - am actually off to visit a friend from dd2's nursery

Dropdeadfred · 01/04/2008 09:10

Lol at that pic!!! it was so obviously ds1 and dd1...they looked so cute!!!

Egg · 01/04/2008 09:53

yes yes got your reply now... everyone else is just a complete MUPPET for not realising DD is a GIRL and DS2 is a BOY .

Glad you are having a day off being a Stepford Squonk today. Is this a NEW friend from since she joined nursery then? That's quite exciting!

Very very kind of your mum. I honestly dont mind where I sleep. Honestly, so if she is happy then I am happy .

Neglecting DS1 so better go. Back later
