It looks like they are loading her up into the ambulance, which is kind of good news.

I suppose

yay no work for me tomorrow although still have to get up early at 07:30am to get ready for swimming.

have to go and see HR now as they have messed up my BH pay, was supposed to lose 2/5 for Monday and gain 3/5 for good friday but they didn't change anything

the only plan we had for easter was for dh to re-cover patio roof as the old panels were leaking but don't think he'll be doing this as it is going to rain for 4 days

2 ambulances doesn't sound good, who is the 2nd one for if they are loading old lady into no. 1?

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 19/03/2008 10:00

the first one was a first response car type ambulance. The second one is where they're loading her.

She is so old and ill that I have never seen her. I've lived here nearly three years (and in the village for three years before that) and I caught a glimpse once as I was walking past the window.

marmitemad · 19/03/2008 10:46

very bling bling

Dropdeadfred · 19/03/2008 11:20

How the hell did you lot get to dash round there taking photies before I even getto view it????
The house really isn't a mansion by any means..it's just a roomy townhouse on three floors with loads of bling a teeny garden.

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 19/03/2008 11:57

fred - have you seen it yet, or are you believing the estate agents' blurb?

A roomy town house on three floors could mean a teeny terraced house that needs three floors to squeeze in a bedroom, living room and kitchen, with a garden the size of a postage stamp.

Have you found yourself using the word "spacious" yet?

Dropdeadfred · 19/03/2008 11:58

I know where it is Squonk and I have read the room measurements etc.. Any house with three diamond encrusted bathrooms and two seperate wcs can't be that small surely???

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 19/03/2008 12:40

It will be fine, fred. I'm just jesting with you.

Dropdeadfred · 19/03/2008 16:06

you're too good at it squonk

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 20/03/2008 08:51

sorry fred, didn't mean to worry you Have you seen it yet? Is it fab?

Still have dp's laptop today, so am planning on sitting here on MN all day

The blardy children keep on mithering me though - "can we have breakfast? we're so huuuuuungry" "can we get dressed, we're sooooooo cold" "can we play with toys? we're so booooooooored" So I may have to put the laptop down for ten minutes while I get them some cornflakes, chuck some clothes at them and open the toy cupboard door

Dropdeadfred · 20/03/2008 09:56

I have NO idea how Jordan keeps winning Mother of The Year when you are such an obvious contender Squonk!!!

We went to see it last night and we liked it but didn't love it.

We are thinking of renting for another year and then buying when prices have settled - really not sure that now is a good time to invest a large amount of money in property.

Plus I may try and persuade Mr Fred ( seems better to call him that than DP now..lol) to move away from Surrey. You can get REALY amazing houses for the money we have if you don't want to live in bloody twonky stockbroker belt Surrey....

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 20/03/2008 10:37

My opinion (as mum of the year contender ) is that if there is any way you can get out of the commuter belt, then you will be able to afford probably twice the house for your money.

If you are hoping to persuade him, would it be an idea to get some details of possibilities?

re: waiting for a year - on the one hand it makes sense, but on the other hand... if you are buying without a mortgage, the state of the economy won't really matter to you, and you may be able to pick up some real bargains right now.

Kids breakfasted and playing with toys but they aren't 'ready to get dressed yet' after I went to the trouble of chucking some clothes in their direction as well

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 20/03/2008 10:38

for commuter belt, read twonky stockbroker belt

Dropdeadfred · 20/03/2008 11:09

I have seen properties in Lincolnshire for example squonk that really would make you feel rich...8 bedroomed houses with acres of land, sweeping drives, stables etc for less than it could cost for a basic detached 4 bed house...
but Mr Frd is a bit of a cockney at heart and would probably balk at becoming a Lincolnshire yellowbelly
