Windy again. Might be raining but I can’t tell.

DS2 off on his BigCityAdventure today. They’ve been put in small groups and have got to stick together and are going by bus. I shall still be worrying about him.

I think this has been the longest week of the longest month.

Morning wenches. It's windy here, bit not raining. IdiotKitty is being batshit because of the weather. No sunrise yet, just dark grey and lighter grey. I should go out and feed the chickens...

Also, the mystery of the knitting patterns was solved, so now someone else can knit DF a new jumper - obviously not me, because I can't knit for toffee.

It’s been a bit of a day and I’m tiiiirrreeddddd.

DS2 had a good day, although he/someone got the meet up time wrong and he was at the bus station waiting for ages. (I was also waiting but at an acceptable distance so it didn’t look like we were together). Anyway, all done, he says it was “good”.

NC was on leave today so it was super busy, but it’s Friday and it’s the right end of Friday. I’ve done a bit of knitting but I’ve put it to one side as I’m having a drink. I will knit for toffee or drink or crisps.

Morning wenches. It was quite a pretty sunrise this morning. DS has gone off to SportingActivity coughing away and requested an early pick-up. I've had breakfast and considering going back to bed, because I can.
No plans today apart from looking at a potential new car.

Hope MiniHelen’s okay. Ooooo the thought “new car” was floating across my brain just before I read your post Helen. I’m not changing mine so no particular reason for it to be there.

Usual activities today plus visit to DS1. If it wasn’t for that, I’d be happy to just spend the entire day alone. Quietly.

Afternoon. DS is fine I think - just a nasty cough which is keeping him awake and making him tired as well as generally illing.

I plonked myself down on the sofa after lunch and immediately saw a woodpecker on the feeder so I've spent the past hour on MN doing the RSPB birdwatch thing. Quite a respectable haul (though I don't think the chickens will count) and the conclusion is that blue tits will take over the world, because they're hard core and are first to come back when idiot kitty saunters out and scares them off. (Or in some cases, they don't even leave.)

Afternoon. Cloudy and dull but it’s staying lighter later so that’s good.

We’re going out for lunch tomorrow en famille as it’s DH’s birthday so I’ve been sorting my hair and nails.

Hope MiniHelen is alright and LetUs has a nice visit to DS1.

Evening. Am watching tv and letting NewTavCats have a limited explore in peace. DS came round for a while but they were very shy with him and hid away, they have been quite sweet with me otherwise, UnnamedCat has been quite snuggly at times & BulldozerCat/ShoutyCat continues to squawk at me a lot - I even got him to play for a tiny bit yesterday.

Glad DS had a good day letus & I suppose better early than late!

Not much going on here. Been out for short walk and also bike ride. Did the smallest amount possible of tidying and had some chicken soup from the slow cooker which went on last night. Could do with a doze now.

I didn't doze. I went out and dug up brambles growing in the woodpile (There's something nasty spikey in the woodshed pile, etc.)

Raining but feels warmer than it did over the weekend. Still very dark, but like Apricot said it’s noticeably lighter in the evening. Noticed it was still quite light last week as I was walking to the car park after work.

Urgh. Morning wenches. We are the House of Stinking Colds (a lesser-known offshoot of George RR Martin's books). I am at the streaming nose and sneezing stage. DS has a hacking cough and is off school. No sure what DH is doing - bunged up possibly. Urgh. I shall pretend to work and then curl up in a miserable ball of sniffling.

(It is noticeably lighter in the evenings - hurrah!)
