I’m forever breaking the nozzles off the de-icer. I’ve lost count of the number of part used cans I’ve had to throw away. -7 when I got in the car this morning which quite honestly can fuck right off.

Evening. We had snow today - proper big fluffy scenic flakes! It fell for about 5-10 minutes and then melted away into the mud and puddles. But at least it was more scenic falling as snow than as rain or drizzle That was the highlight of the day.

FFS at -7 LetUs. I don't know what it was here, but I doubt it was that cold. TFI tomorrow - phew.

Very icy still which is obviously not surprising. True about the snow being nicer to watch fall than rain Helen, especially if it doesn’t stick.

Also not surprising is DS2 being off college most of the week and only starting homework yesterday late afternoon which he was still doing gone 11.

Friday though so woohoo for that.

Morning. It's cold and icy still, but clear, and the sun is coming up, all round and orange (and there's a pair of pigeons fighting under the apple tree). I put the bird food to this morning, but they're either put off by the cold, or by the sight of idiot kitty watching with his nose pressed to the window.

Happy 10th TM annniversary all. When I retired I thought I would have a quiet life knitting, reading, caravanning and generally taking it easy. I never imagined in a million years that I would be so taken with a TV series and an actor that I would be meeting up with like-minded wenches from all over the country (and beyond) both in real life and in an online tavern, travelling all over the place to meet said actor and whizzing round the Czech Republic finding filming locations. It’s been quite an experience which I wouldn’t have missed for the world.

Cold and sunny here too - but the washing that I put out did get a lot drier outside than the stuff left inside.

Work was full of annoyingly bitty jobs and baffling documents, so nothing exciting has happened so far today. But it's only 6:30, there's still time for a HBF to appear at my front door <nae>, (though also <tae> now I think of it) and whisk me away for a night of hot steamy passion. Or a hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire. Or both. I live in hope...

Seems a bit soggy outside. Had planned to go through a wardrobe and have a clear out. The urge is fading but I must make myself do it. Other than that, usual Saturday with a 60th party at the end of it.

I do plan to wrap up and get into the garden once I've had a huge bowl of porridge, but I've lit a fire in the meantime since 16 degrees is too cold indoors. Lots of birds of the feeding station outside. Hopefully KillerKitty also thinks it's too cold to go outside

I have gardened and I'm knackered. Got lots done though, and the chickens 'helped'.

I think we can all say that our lives are much richer for having wandered into the tav. (and stayed) <raises a glass to Malc.> We should def. do a Tavern anniversary as well - 20th Feb which is inconveniently a Tuesday, so may need to be moved. (Though I suppose technically the Tav took 10 threads until it was constituted.)
