Went to a BigTownMarket today. The wool stall was a bit disappointing but the haberdashery stall was brilliant. Run by very knowledgeable and helpful women who could pick out the perfect buttons for the project anyone shows them at 500 paces from a huge selection.

Have done many loads of washing which has resulted in a fuckton of ironing for tomorrow.

I’m knitting something with a cable pattern. The abbreviations include CB3 and CF3 (cable back and cable forward). But in my head it’s cheeky bastard and cheeky fucker

Have been at a friend's birthday lunch today, was very lovely - great food and interesting company, although one guest thought that Finland's Eurovision song was awful - it's almost like they thought it's a proper song contest or something 🤣.

Last night FancyCat decided to take on a fox 🦊 Much sound and fury but mercifully no actual contact. I broke it up and then the fox sat opposite the house barking loudly - do foxes trash talk?!

Also 'eek' at Fox vs FancyCat - glad there was no actual contact made. Glad that lunch was good though.

The weather has been lovely here today - if I'd actually been here I could have stuck all the bedding through a wash. As it is, it will have to wait. Event#1 was busy and kept me on my toes, and we're prepped for event #2 tomorrow. My legs are protesting already, so I dread to think that state I'll be in by tomorrow night. At least it's not such an early start tomorrow. Oh - the deer jumped the fence this morning, so that was ok.

I’ve been summer pimping outdoors and today I also did a bit of cleaning including removing a ton of cathair off the couch, enough to make a whole new cat! My whole body aches

Not surprised you’re in pain Apricot and there’s no need to feel stupid at all. I’ve fallen over plenty of times, and some of them - like you - I was even sober. Hope the pain eases quickly.

Beautiful day here, except for the bit where I had to come inside and shut the door because I just didn’t feel like listening to neighbour’s live renditions of various soft rock classics. Ironing done, fresh bedding on.

Have started the traditional family cardigan for what will be the third new arrival in the space of 12 months. Ooo Wicked, perhaps all the cat hair could be spun together and I could knit a new one!

Morning. It's grey and cloudy with no sign of any sun. Not cold though, so there's that. Aches are achey (which I feel bad having a winge about because it leat I'm not having to deal with Apricot's ribs ).

Random dream last night which involved bumping into TB and his small daughter in Japan. Wonder if he knows he has a daughter. Also wonder what my subconscious was on.

DS2 has out of nowhere decided to be a stroppy PITA after being quite pleasant all evening. I may go to bed.

Bonkers dreams here too - I lost my handbag, cue much stress and drama as it had everything in and I was somewhere away from home. And then I found it. Mad, but with a grain of truth - I hate handbags because I can lose them. Pockets are better.

I have mostly been gardening today, all very exciting, I have started watching Queen Charlotte, as since I finished Downton I need more historical tosh.

I’ve done a bit of admin today and walked to the next road to post a letter. That’s it really.

We’ve got Queen Charlotte on our list <nto>. We’re watching The Diplomat at the moment which has good reviews, but it’s a bit ridiculous and I have to read a recap to understand what’s going on. I love Rufus Sewell but he’s over-acting, in fact they all are. I’m stuck with it though as DH likes it when he doesn’t go to sleep.

I had hoped to spend a little bit of time relaxing with my knitting with Michael Palin in the Himalayas. I am unfortunately having to listen to next door’s fucking music afuckingain as the room I’m in is directly next to where he’s playing. I might just give up for tonight.

Oh and I just spotted that DS2 hasn’t finished his maths and there was some English too to go over (English exam tomorrow) so he’s now in a spectacular mood.
