Here we go again, more witterings and domestic shenanegans...

Thanks wenches, we're gutted but getting by. FancyCat was a cat and a half, most of it floof, and we miss her like mad, she was such a personality and more intelligent than most - I include people in that!

Just because my week isn't shit enough already, FancyDad is in hospital. Awaiting a diagnosis hopefully tomorrow, he is stable and comfortable but info is a bit lacking until test results come back. FML indeed.

Oh Fancy - that's shitness upon shitness.

We have had hot and sunny-ness again. My 'bit of work' that I needed to finish took hours, so it's been a busy one. I'm thinking about taking DS' mattress outside to air tomorrow, what with the sun and all. He's just stubbed his toes in a major way and the base of his toenail is bleeding I'm hoping he hasn't actually bust it, having done similar myself from a stub.

Hmmm, thought the universe, is Fancy having quite enough of a shit time? Well yes, but have some more anyway. All the things crossed for something positive Fancy and many many hugs.

Went straight out to SIL’s after work and wasn’t back until late.

DS2 back today. I’m expecting him to be as communicative about his trip as MiniHelen will be about school. Le sigh.

We’ve got the sand all over everywhere here too Apricot. Hope we get some not sandy rain to wash it off the cars.

Friday beckons. It’d better behave itself.

Morning wenches. No sand here, or not that I've noticed. The curtains are drawn to keep out the heat and I suggest we spend the day in the Tav to keep cool. (It won't work, what with the HBFs and all, but it'll be hot <iagw>.)

DS was relatively communicative after school yesterday - mainly because he was complaining and new rules and things they have set up for this year. He's stomped off for school ok, so I don't think he broke anything last night.

Hurrah for Friday.

Morning wenches. Warm here already so suspect I will be spending the day working and melting from home. Hospital confirmed that FancyDad had a stroke so we are waiting to hear from them this morning for further details. He is otherwise stable and DSis went there last night.

Afternoon. Still very hot but on the positive side the duvet is dry and another wash load is done.

Sorry to hear about FancyDad, hope he recovers soon. You are having a week of it.

Also hope MiniHelen’s toe is alright.

Today is shopping with crackers AuntiesNotRealAunties and then taking them to the train station. Middle of the day on a Saturday where the traffic’s usually shit anyway. Then barbecue at LittleSis’s.

Morning all. It's hot and sunny day, and I too have washing in the machine. Only the one load so far though, due to lack of time to actually hang it out/get it in.

This weekend we have all-weekend SportingEvent, Village Show, Theatre Trip, secondary SportingActivity event, museum visit (before the exhibition closes). I may be slightly frazzled by the end of it, but right now I'm going to cook pancakes for me and DS.

We're having one too for the family but DS is doing most of the preparation. He loves cooking, don't know where he gets it from. It's like Masterchef in the kitchen at the moment.

Evening wenches. Day one of multiple activities has been done. Matinee theatre was a good idea, since they had air con and it was a lot nicer there. Despite initial parking shenanigans where the first car park was full, and in the next one the machines weren't accepting cards. Third time lucky, fortunately.

Hope that LetUs had fun shopping with NotAunties, and that all the BBQs went well. Also hope that FancyDad is improving.

Was a bit of a late one last night and I was quite “tired”.

Love the NotRealAunties to bits - they remind me of the Miss Alans from A Room With A View without the early 19th century gentility . They’re planning a long haul break for next year. They’re in their 80s. It’s like herding cats though. I’ve got track of where one is, but then the other wanders off. LovelyMIL was super but honestly I considered putting them all on reins at one point. Their excellent attitude to life is definitely something to aspire to though.

Hope all barbecues went well. Continuing positive thoughts to FancyDad.

Afternoon. Spent yesterday with DD, watching lots of TV with fish and chips and fizz - FancyCat was toasted. Felt very weird eating fish without her staring at my plate.

FancyDad is much the same thanks, speech still a problem but has been out of bed and walking and has a good grasp of what's going on.

Thunderstorms predicted here, predictably not arrived yet. Not holding my breath.

Barbecue was good except that it went dark and the outside lighting wasn’t working for some reason but it didn’t matter.
