Lovely here too. Sat outside briefly with a book which was very nice. Tried to knit but hands were getting a bit sweaty.

DS2 seems ready for tomorrow - practically at any rate.

Beach was fun. We had more seals and sandcastles (but no crabs, shrimps or fish scuttling about today). Lots of stone skimming though - the sea was dead calm. This evening I had a hare hope out onto the road in front of me while I was out walking. I froze, the hare missed me completely and bumbled about in front of me, then hopped off across the road and into the next field. It was rather magical.

Awww at the bear football kit, and hope that DS2 gets on ok tomorrow. DS isn't back for a couple of days yet.

Morning all. It's lovely and sunny today - one load of washing is on the line and there's another in the machine. It need to get on with work so then I can finish up and make a new duvet cover to replace the one that DS has put his foot through - quite spectacularly. (to be fair, it was already a bit ripped - niagw)

Afternoon. Beautiful day. I got a wash on, went to Lidl, picked up a prescription for DH, put the food away, hung the clothes out and went for a walk round the block, all before 10 o’clock. I’m usually still in bed with iPad then. It’s amazing what a bit of sun does.

I sat outside this afternoon just when the builders over the road decided to fetch a load of scaffolding down. Honestly, there’s no peace around here. Every time a house sells they build a huge extension. Grrrr.

I can’t knit outside either LetUs, fingers are too sticky. Hope DS2 has had a good day.

How lovely Helen. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hare close up.

College was “okay” and “good” apparently. This is as much as I’ve got out of him. He’ll probably tell DS1 more.

FancyCat is so bloated not even the floof disguises it. She's still off her food and today she didn't attack her enemy as he walked past the house. Took her back to the vet today for blood tests and she's booked in for a scan tomorrow. My purse is weeping.....

Morning all. I wanted an early night last night but the manshapes were desperate to watch two season finales (Good Omens2 and The Boys2). Which meant I didn't have an early night and went to bed very grumpy with a headache that had been building all day. Woe is me, etc.

Anyway, it's lovely and sunny outside today. I have an exercise class and the car being serviced, plus work and making that new duvet case which I started on yesterday, and I have jam to make.

Gentle squidge for FancyCat, and for Fancy's purse. And everything crossed for good blood and scan results.

Afternoon. Another lovely day. I managed an hour outside earlier but was on duty for school run. DGS's first day back and he's pretty much the same as LetUsDS2 with his answers to how he got on. He seemed happy enough though.

Poor FancyCat and Fancy's purse, hope it's something simple.

Evening. It was a very busy day (but productive) and I'm knackered with a headache. I suspect the weather may have something to do with that - and/or the run of late nights. <le sigh>

Morning all. Sunny and misty here - forecast to be host. Headache had gone, thank goodness. (On the down side, that means I have to go to BoringOfficeJob, but on the plus side - not headache! Yay!) KillerKitty has managed to draw blood on one of his 'run up behind you while you're walking away and nip your calf' attacks, because he's in 'little sod' mode, so I'm slathered in savlon on one side of the leg, and trying not to scratch the mozzie bite on the other. <le sigh, etc>

I love the “don’t stand still, you’ll end up in the washing machine” type of days Apricot. I put one out after work. I ran out of washing line.

DS2 off on an overnight trip tomorrow. Lots of walking up hills and stuff. Obviously I’m glad it’s not raining but could do without it being nearly 30°.

Oh Helen, you’ve been in the wars recently. Get yourself to sick bay where Doctor Athos can treat <tae> you.

I have worked (and actually need to do a bit more tonight). It's been roasting hot, so the aircon in the office was very pleasant.

Tonight's fun task is a 'back to school' haircut for DS. Think of me kindly...

Also, update on FancyCat - the scan found a large tumour in her intestines Fancy and DS took her for her last visit to the vet last night.

Seems to have rained overnight. Definitely cooled things down even if just briefly.

Morning all. No rain here, and another sunny/misty morning. The geese are geesing (absolute cacophony of honking as they take off for their daytime destinations while I'm down with the chickens), the mice are being eaten <eye roll at Killer Kitty>, and the hornets are being ejected from the house. And a woodlouse just fell out of my hair . It must have landed in there when I did the chickens - either from the coop or it fell out of a tree and onto me. Random. I've lobbed it out of the window to find a new life for itself in the blueberry bushes.

I've also taken the obligatory 'back to school' photo of DS - albeit the back of his head as he vanished off down the road for the bus. I expect when he gets back he will chatter away to me about all the things they did and the interesting things he's learned grunt when I ask how his day went.

Anyway, I need to finish the work that I didn't finish yesterday, before I start today's work. Have some FAF to help us though the day...

Also, I was quite excited to see 'SkiAthos' trending on Twitter. That's a combination that'd I'd get behind (or underneath/on top of/beside/in front of, etc - I'm flexible like that). Unfortunately it turns out to be a place in Greece which has just had some horrible flooding

Oh Fancy I’m so, so sorry. Many cwtches for you and your family.

We had rain in the night together with a coating of sand from the Sahara. I’d left a load of washing out to get darked on, but fortunately it didn’t stick to it. In a moment of madness I washed the duvet in the bath this morning. I’ve wanted to do it all summer but we haven’t had the weather. It’ll take a couple of days to dry but it’s done now.
