Morning wenches. It's cloudy outside. Today's logistical shuffling is Dad's car in for service and DS being taxied to today's all-day outing.

They were talking about bed bugs on the radio today while I put cream on yet another bite Though think bed bugs are more prolific than what seems to be my one bite a night<niagw - no HBFs involved>.

Hurrah for football result yesterday.

I suggested cinema to DS tonight, forgetting about the whole 'we need to pack stuff for visiting InLaws, etc' Idiot me. Fortunately DS didn't bite my hand off, so I will quietly drop that idea!

Evening wenches. Logistical shenanigans have been done, and I had a nice walk this afternoon in the sunshine. Still not done enough holiday prep. Though I have found a potential walk to go on. Or do part of. Or add to a bucket list of things to do.

We’re dull here and have much rain forecast. I’m running a bit late. Have super Fridays wenches.

Afternoon. Well, after two lovely sunny days we had gale force winds overnight and this morning and it’s raining now. It doesn’t matter though, we aren’t really bothered.

Hope the bites have stopped Helen. A few years ago I used to get 5 or 6 bites on the left side of my neck about every two weeks. They would itch for a few days and then disappear. It went on for ages, summer and winter. We stripped the bedroom down and deep cleaned many times but found no evidence of anything. Google was no help and it never happened to DH. Then as suddenly as it came it disappeared. I swear it was some kind of vampire that tired of me and decided to move on to someone else.

Glad you enjoyed Barbie LetUs. It was certainly different.

Went out yesterday to an indian restaurant, delicious as usual 😋

Really want to travel but the swedish crown isn't worth anything at the moment so I think I'll postpone that. The burning of the koran isn't really helping, the terror threat level in Sweden is also increasing because of that. I really hope the government can do something about it, really makes me angry.

At least we're doing pretty well in the World Cup, we might get a bronze medal, that's not bad. I hope England wins the World Cup since we won't

Just back from collecting DS2 from SportingActivity. Don’t think I’ll bother sitting out to enjoy an August evening. Peeing it down and fairly windy. Nice.

I have looked at the weather for the holiday, and I don't think it will matter if no-one wants to go on a walk with me, because the forecast isn't exactly enticing for a walk. FMHolidayPlans.

... and then neither of us could get to sleep, so I was listening to the rain hammer down still at 1:30 (not quite an inch fell last night).

Had rather a good time. A few drinks and amazing food (they always do excellent food) so I’m now the size of a whale.

Mostly a usual Sunday with visiting and ironing and flapjacks <hides flapjacks> and knitting but have been thoroughly spoiled with lovely cards and gifts.

Having a good time on holiday but I am close to melting and am knackered. I have also collected a sample of bites from what looks to be a variety of bitey fuckers so am mainlining antihistamines. The shitty UK weather is looking quite appealing at the moment 😂

Oh look, it’s Monday again. Not keen, but at least the sun is shining.

Afternoon. Lots of washing done and a food shop.

Back to the knitting wool. I’ve revisited a make that I rejected which was perfect otherwise, but was in 3 ply when I want double knitting. However reading the reviews someone said that she used two balls together and it worked out perfectly as double knitting so I’ve ordered it. Hurrah! Can’t wait for it to arrive.

Gosh I’m tired so I’ll definitely learn my lesson of staying up late being a not good idea.

Excellent news on the yarn front Apricot! I’ve nearly finished knitting my next thing but the instructions and diagrams to make it up look like something off The Krypton Factor. Going to have to use my brain a bit more than usual.

The sun didn’t last. We’ve had a couple of absolute downpours and the sky is darkening again as I type. We’re forecast thunderstorms but I bet we don’t get them.
