Afternoon. We had thunderstorms forecast but they didn’t materialise.

I went to the lovely wool shop earlier but they hadn’t got what I wanted. I’ve seen a jumper on YouTube which I want to copy but I’ve searched everywhere and I don’t think the wool I want is in existence. Sad Will have to have a rethink.

Annoying about the laptop and the barking dog Helen.

I didn’t realise the bloody football was back. I suppose that I will be bored to tears regaled with all the details again. <sigh>

Evening wenches.

Hope your jaw isn’t aching too much Helen. I’ve postponed flapjacks until tomorrow. Urgh at improperly trained dog owners.

Have you tried the website yarnsub Apricot? I think it’s an American site but it does bring up yarn suggestions that are available here.

Our thunderstorms didn’t arrive either.

Had a tense morning and early afternoon watching the Lionesses. Finished a blanket for another expected family baby.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/08/2023 23:10

Evening. We had a warm windy day, with rain in the evening. I did mowing and laundry. beyond exciting.. Hmm

'Bloody football' indeed Apricot - DH has it on just now.

I shall look forward to flapjacks tomorrow LetUs...

LetUsPrey · 13/08/2023 09:07

Morning wenches.

Seems to not be raining at the moment which is as promising as I think it’ll get today.

Trying to make myself do the ironing and stuff. If I do the flapjacks first, I can get on with the ironing whilst they’re in the oven I suppose.

LetUsPrey · 13/08/2023 13:30

Flapjacks are ready Helen!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/08/2023 13:36

Ooooooooooooooooooh! Grin <stuffs face>

Not sure what the weather plans to do here - clouds and blue sky, so it could do anything really. Though I've got a load of washing that will need to go out shortly, so that may cause rain.

Gradually trying sort out the laptop, now using tablet/laptop combo. <rolling eyes at the faff of it all>

ApricotCrush · 13/08/2023 16:46

Afternoon. Quite a nice day here but I haven't been out.

I've looked at that site thank you LetUs, but I can't see what I want. We're going to the caravan on Tuesday and there's a good wool shop near there, so that's my last chance, otherwise I'll have to do something different. Well done on finishing the blanket, they're keeping you busy.

<also pinches flapjacks>

LetUsPrey · 13/08/2023 19:47

Evening wenches.

Baked the flapjacks <looks around> where… where are they? Hmmmm.

Ironed, visited, knitted. Dodged the very frequent showers with the washing. Now drinking Pimms and telling myself not to start another knitting project until I’ve completely finished the others - like sewing up or sewing on buttons.

Apricot - if you don’t have any luck, I’m more than happy to check my local craft barn place to see if they have what you’re after.

FancyFancy · 13/08/2023 21:43

<heads to Chiswick>

Seem to have spent the weekend catching up on washing and ironing - am off on holiday tomorrow so needed some clean clothes to pack!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/08/2023 22:59

We have a wool shop here too. It can be a wench mission. If we knew what were looking for?

Today there has been hole-digging, laundry, and cooking. <lobs apple/blackberry/damson crumble onto the bar.>

Have a lovely holiday Fancy

LetUsPrey · 14/08/2023 07:02

Morning wenches.

Have a wonderful holiday Fancy! <via Chiswick>

Mmm love a crumble.

It’s Monday and it’s raining. Whoop.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/08/2023 09:10

Monday and raining here too - what are that chances? Hmm

ApricotCrush · 14/08/2023 16:28

Afternoon. Horrible day, drizzle and a cold wind.

Grin at the wench wool hunt. I’ll let you know how I get on at the last chance saloon wool shop.

DH is driving me mad with the laptop which we take to the caravan. It hasn’t been switched on for ages and wants to do updates but they keep failing and he seems to think I can sort it. I can’t. Confused

We’re off in the morning and haven’t got the case down yet. Oh well, we get there when we get there. It’s not as if we have a plane to catch.

Have a lovely holiday Fancy.

Have a wonderful holiday Fancy Wine

I'm feeling restless now, I want to travel too Envy

LetUsPrey · 14/08/2023 19:59

Evening wenches.

Raaaaiiiinnnnnnnnn, tiny bit of sun, raaaaiiiiinnnnnnnnn.

Definitely let us know how you get on with the Great Wool Hunt Apricot. Have a lovely time - hope you get some decent weather.

I keep thinking I’d like to travel but then remember I’m far too lazy to do anything about.

I did start another blanket but changed my mind before I’d gone too far so off the needles it went. And started something else

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/08/2023 23:41

Evening. FML, DS has got a summer activity camp thingy this week, and I've been 'mental loading' things for him and just not even thought about what I'm doing tomorrow (meeting a friend who is holidaying in the area). And I'm knackered. Boo.

Safe travels for apricot and hope that Fancy has arrived safely. We're on holiday next week - that's also something I've had no headspace for. Confused
<lobs balls of wool about the place to see what they end up as>

LetUsPrey · 15/08/2023 07:19

Morning wenches.

Ah I’m familiar with that feeling Helen of brain full of everything for other people and holidays. It’s crap. I went old school and wrote everything down. Importantly I hope you have a smashing day today with your friend.

Doesn’t seem to be raining for now.

Anxiety dreams have started for next Thursday’s GCSE results.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/08/2023 09:47

Morning all.

I'm on hold to National Trust because I seem to have lost my membership card, just in time for going on holiday. FML, etc. <eyes roll out of sockets>

Other than that, we have sunshine and clouds, DS is off doing his activity thing, and, um... the mozzie bite on my ankle is making me want to gnaw my foot off. Joy.

Still, the sun is shining and I'm out for some of the day do fresh air and walking.

LetUsPrey · 15/08/2023 20:28

Evening wenches.

Oh that’s epic timing Helen. Hope you’ve got it sorted. <passes antihistamines and insect bite dabby thing>

There’s stuff I’m sure I should be doing - insurance stuff and things like that. I’ve been watching Shrek and knitting instead.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/08/2023 22:15

Evening. DS had a fun day out and logistics of friends and taxi-ing DS about all worked. I had nice day out with long walk (6 miles on the flat is plenty thank you), sorted out tea, and have got a cake in the oven. Things are getting ticked off the list<nto> of things I have to do, but not as fast as they would if I hadn't finished watching Our Flag Means Death, which was fun.

LetUsPrey · 16/08/2023 06:52

Morning wenches.

I am marvelling at your efficiency Helen and the six mile walk.

Awake stupidly early again. Have everything crossed for the football this morning and into the afternoon.

Have excellent days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/08/2023 07:54

Morning all. We have sunshine, as per the weather forecast. The mozzie bit is still causing grief, and that's about it. Today I have to go out to BoringOfficeJob so I should get offline and get dressed.

Does amazon sell motivation? Maybe I could get some there...

Fingers crossed for football and for results tomorrow. (Oh bonkers dream alert - zombie apocalypse type thing where WorkCollege and I were trying to keep newly created zombie/vampire Phoebe Waller Bridge out of the glass doored bathroom we were hiding in, and managed to get rid of her by suggesting that she should go to a town in the neighbouring county because the people there have very tasty blood... Confused Okaaaaay Thanks subconscious!)

ApricotCrush · 16/08/2023 16:33

Afternoon. Lovely weather here.

We went off to the nearby big town this morning to do the usual Poundland shop. I also went into the lovely wool shop, but they hadn’t got what I want. I’ve remembered that I haven’t tried Dunelm yet so I’ll have to have a trip out when we get back. It doesn’t really matter as there’s something else I want to do so I may as well start that.

Hope everyone’s having a good day and well done Lionesses. ⚽️

Evening wenches.

Very much enjoyed the football today Grin

The mosquito bite is invading your dreams Helen!

Hurrah for lovely weather Apricot and alternative knitting plans.
