Morning all. Lovely and sunny outside, with various cobwebs festooned about the garden for me to walk through when I fed the chickens. Pflblah!

Today I have a car MOT, and haven't been able to book it in for a service at my garage of choice, which is a pain. Fingers crossed for MOT without service.

I am almost all packed. I seem to have packed almost as much for five days as I did for 10, although I have had to cover the many weather possibilities of the UK weather.

Afternoon. Bit of a miserable day but the washing dried, so that’s alright.

We went out for lunch with DH’s sister and her DH. They live a couple of hours away and we meet in the middle. We haven’t seen them for a year as they have had health problems so it was nice to have a good catch up.

at the suggestions for the wall, Helen. I’m sure they’re delicious. Hope the MOT was successful.

Evening all. MOT went well - hurrah. No work needed, so all is good.

I also put washing on today - then it rained so I didn't put it out. And then it didn't rain again so I could have put it out after all. <le sigh> Also, all my carpet cleaning etc has been unnecessary since CatAllergyFriend has had to cancel. Oh well - it's never a bad thing to blitz the house

Irrespective of last night, we have lots of sunshine this morning, and from the sound of it oe of the chickens has just paid an egg. Killer Kitty is being idiotic and Intelligent Cat is yowling hiding upstairs.

WorkyMcWorkface today for me & DH, and last day of term for DS. So the internet will tank when he gets home and we're trying to work while he plugs himself into the matrix.

I was eating a pear earlier and found a stone in it, only I later realised it wasn’t a stone but part of a tooth. I’ve now got a sharp bit that I can’t leave alone. I remember you had this earlier this year Helen. Fortunately I’ve got a dental appointment in about three weeks.

oooh Sympathies apricot. At least you have an appointment scheduled already. Might be worth warning them in advance, though they'll still probably just have a look and re-book you in to actually fix it weeks later.

I'm trying (failing) to muster up enthusiasm and energy to go out and get myself fish and chips while the manshapes are out for the evening.

FFS, MN's latest trick seems to be to crash my browser.

Anyway, I failed (again) at fish and chips because I just can't be bothered trying to find parking and then waiting about for ages to order - let alone be served. Though I'm very pleased for the local chippie that it's so busy.

Have spent the day going for a walk and for lunch with some work colleagues - was a very pleasant and leisurely ramble, with a large pub lunch afterwards. Am still stuffed, but at least I am not still soggy. It rained pretty much the whole time. More heavy rain predicted tonight, so I hope there's nothing left for tomorrow as I am going to watch athletics with DD.

We got a bit wet yesterday, despite the assistance provided by Helen. Fortunately it had mostly stopped for Paolo who was of course excellent.

Today my browser has crashed everytime it started, so I've now switched to DuckDuck (having got the installer onto a USB from DH). So far, so good.
