Lots more rain with more expected today. I could really do with a couple of properly clear days as I’ve some pre-holiday washing to do. Priorities.

Back’s playing up so I’m just trying to keep moving but carefully.

We had lots more rain which thankfully stopped by the time I was home and the washing is now out (with the help of both DC)

I have been headless chickening - Killer kitty has been headless rabbiting and smearing the remains about the utility room again, whilst IntelligentCat has been doing the cat vom thing in the living room. FML and all that I managed to get that cleared up and fed livestock and DS, and got out the door for the 8am exercise class, then I've been deep cleaning the chicken coop yet again. And now it's started raining which is good for the garden, but not for airdrying the chicken house.

And I've done no work yet Best crack on.

Also hope that holiday prep is going well LetUs - are you off to the usual place?

Football and Monopoly doesn't sound a very good combination Helen. That sounds a very hectic morning.

Well, our pevious house is on the market, so I've been sorting out all the old pics to compare with Rightmove. Still the same bathroom suite. It's all quite weird and fascinating at the same time. We were there for 16 years and the DC had their primary school years there.

No, we’re off to abroad this year Helen. Not my choice if I’m completely honest because, as predicted despite DH’s insistence to the contrary, the bulk of the planning and organising has fallen to me. Obviously I don’t have anything else to do generally in my life 🙄. If he starts with the endless fucking questions when he’s packing, there’ll be a ticket going spare. I’m sure it’ll alllllll be fine.

KillerKitty’s properly going for it. That sounds quite a full on morning, even just that brief part of it.

I was looking at our first house online the other day Apricot. It was a bit strange seeing someone else’s stuff in there even though it’s been almost 20 years since we moved. No school memories for us, although it’s where we were living when DS1 was born.

LOL, you've made me google our old house now. The first house we looked at on the road we lived on is for sale again (we bought another one on the same road). Blast from the past - I think they've cut down the apple tree though :( Our old house hasn't been sold since we moved out.

KillerKitty spent most of the day asleep - stirred himself at about 3pm and smeared more blood everywhere ate the rest of the rabbit, then went out into the garden. He's probably asleep under a hedge now, still digesting rabbit!

It's really warm here still, and humid. No rain forecast until friday, and then it's still not looking likely. I'd better water the vegetables again tomorrow.

We finally got some rain here - just in time for the morning commute. It was not pleasant. Am working at home tomorrow, then one more day at MilesAwayClient so the end is in sight <wilts> Am knackered - had DSis & family here at the weekend, the builders are in repairing the garden wall & I would very much like a few days to do bugger all except to loll about & watch crap tv with FancyCat Before I can do that I have a gig to go to on Saturday - I need strength to reign in the perving though.

And now the thunder is just tantalisingly not that close & the rain is passing us by <harrumphs>

Morning wenches. Whoop! No carnage, no cat vom this morning - winning at life DS didn't count the chickens last night when he shut them in for me - there was one disgruntled hen waiting for me outside. Oh well.

I find abroad holidays stressful LetUs, I hate the whole airport thing. If I could be just teleported there and back I wouldn’t mind. I’m pleased we don’t have anything planned for the foreseeable future. I’m sure you’ll have a great time though.

Work was manic, then I was doing more sorting out for DS2’s new bank stuff which didn’t go totally to plan because why would it but I eventually sorted it, then I forgot an appointment which I hate doing. I’m rather tired now.

Evening all. It's hoooooooooooooooot (winge) and muggy and just a bit ick. Had a nice long lunch and catch-up with a friend though, so that was good.

There is no exciting news. I have been cooking and eating and watering the veg patch. Chickens are shut in by me, I didn't count them in either but it was only half an hour ago so I'm assuming they've all gone in to roost. We keep getting one of next door's chickens coming into the garden which is quite amusing. When she did that at the weekend I was about to go out do I just shoved it in with ours. Maybe she's decided our flock is nicer.

Teleporting to holidays is definitely the way to go.

Evening wenches. It’s been hot and sunny again. We went out to lunch with a golfing friend and his wife from DH’s previous club, so it was nice to have a catch up with them.

Work was crackers, weather was quite warm, and I’ve been packing. Everything started off very organised, but then I ran out of steam a bit so I’ve put stuff near the cases and will finish tomorrow. Clothes are mostly done though.

Well done on the packing progress LetUs. I managed to get washing done and out on the line in the end. It's been roasting here, so it dried really quickly.

Have remembered DS2 has a medical appointment this morning early so we’re a bit rushed. And then it’s prom this evening.

Morning. I had plans last night to go back to bed this morning once DS was off to school, so it was not quite so stupid to stay up to midnight. Then, as I was heading for bed, I remembered I'm meant to be going into the office today. Oops. Caffeine ahoy...

In other news, I won the monopoly game I don't think I've ever won monopoly before. (I bought Park Lane and Mayfair then added houses etc, and bankrupted everyone else. Seemed a bit mean but it meant that the game got finished.)
