Afternoon. Sunny and hot day so I've been doing loads of washing and ironing. It's gone a bit black over Bill's mother's now, so we might get some rain. I've brought everything in just in case.

Lovely day but still breezy and it’s been very dark from about 30 minutes ago. We had a few spots of rain and then lightning and thunder but that was it.

I plan to have an early night so I can get an early start tomorrow.

Sunny and warm already. Flapjacks made, washing on. Taking DS2 shopping for holiday clothes and possibly shoes. Also need many birthday cards. Got a family thing this afternoon. I’d quite like to just sit quietly.

Morning wenches. Also sunny and warm (hot) here, but no plans for thunder. I plan to do multiple loads of washing today and the duvet is airing on the line (please try to control your excitement).

Yesterday went really well, which was good, and involved an ice cream (even better!)

I need to start making elderflower cordial today. That will be my benchmark for having achieved something

Afternoon. Also hot and sunny here although the weather app says thunder storm later. We had a lot of rain last night.

The air show went ahead, we heard a lot but only actually saw the Red Arrows who went right overhead. I tried to get a pic but only got a very graceful pigeon.

Very humid today and rather windy which didn’t help at the afternoon event I went to which was outdoors. I could hear my antihistamines saying “look we’re doing what we can but it’s June and it’s the afternoon and it’s windy, so 🤷🏻‍♀️” There was cake though which was a bonus.

Hopefully the elderflower cordial is in progress Helen.

Evening. Elderflower is in progress, and a squillion loads of washing have been done. The garden was a mass of willow seeds floating on the wind this afternoon, and the elderflowers were shedding pollen each time I picked one.

Graceful Pigeon played a well-received set at the 1973 Guildford Folk Festival, but split up soon afterwards.

Am at my Airbnb as I'm working away from home this week. The much trumpeted thunder rumbled from a distance but didn't get to my town - I held off leaving home in case it did. Which of course meant it didn't. Didn't get much rain either - just enough to make my t-shirt damp while I watered the garden

Anyhow, now relaxing ahead of a busy week <sounds like a stuck record>

Afternoon. Very warm but slightly overcast. We had another huge thunderstorm last night, sorry we’re hogging them all.

Did a Lidl shop this morning and a bit of general admin. Wildly exciting.

Speaking of pigeons, there's actually a pigeon couple nesting in my pear tree, we call them Bernard and Bianca. Nice landladies have bought a mini horse which arrives on Friday and a woman who is going to rent one of the apartments are bringing two minipigs (but they will live in their own little house, with floor heating). It's like a Disney movie out here .

We lost internet on Friday evening and didn't get it back until midnight on Saturday, which meant NO TV!!

Two more weeks of work and then four weeks vacation. Can't wait

We are currently in the middle of a thunderstorm and some very heavy rain. Glad it only rained on the way home and saved this for after I’d got in.

Evening. We have no rain forecast between now and 20th [horror] and the waterbutts are worryingly low already. FMWeather. I need more water buts to fill up for when we have sodden starts to the year and then no rain for weeks when things are trying to grow.

Today I have been working and taxi-ing, and stomping around with a watering can. Tomorrow I will be deep cleaning and disinfecting the chicken coop, because they have mites, which is predictable. but annoying.

You could have had some of our rain Helen from yesterday. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any heavier, it did.

DS2 on the home straight now for exams. Hopefully his mood will improve. Spoiler: it won’t.

DS2 has/I have realised he needs a protractor for his maths exam tomorrow. He has two. One’s in two parts and the other’s very cracked. Sent out the call on the family WhatsApp as the thought of traipsing to the supermarket wasn’t filling me with joy. One sister has come up trumps

The chickens are unimpressed with me because I doused the ones I could grab in anti-mite powder, but the coop is cleaned out (I had no idea that steam cleaners were so much fun!) I also burnt most of the bedding and now I stink of smoke.

Morning, hot and sunny again. I have cracked the loft hatch open to try keep the house cooler.

I forgot - yesterday's other joy. Car insurance. Why is it so fucking tedious and hard? Phone menus, on hold for ages, insurance spiel.... Just give me a bloody basic quote and then we'll work out if I want to proceed and we can talk about the detail people! And as for my now ex-insurers. Argh. Stop bloody apologising and just cancel the sodding renewal, and no, I don't want to make a complaint, I just want to get off the phone and resume my life and waste no more time on this completely unnecessary frustrating crap. On the plus side, I got a deal for 250 less than my renewal quote. <le enormous sigh> Adulting sucks.

And then when I was about to go to bed, I realised I hadn't dealt with a work email. FML, and I couldn't easily dooooooooooooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttt because Dh was logged in to burn some CDs and that sftware doesn't work if I'm logged in. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. again.

Today I'm going to BoringOfficeJob for some respite! (and air con!)
