Gah! The real Sportacus isn't even in it. What's the point in going?

LyraSilvertongue · 06/03/2008 14:14

And the nearest venues are Hackney and Croydon, neither of which are near at all. Poo.

Zebedeedoodah · 06/03/2008 14:42

I've never "got" Sportacus's appeal. Please explain.

LyraSilvertongue · 06/03/2008 14:43

Well it's more the muscular physique than anything else. otherwise he's a bit clean cut.

Berrie · 06/03/2008 15:24

Tee hee, I was tempted by Lazytown live until I realised how much I'd be spending for 4 of us with 2 of us loathing it. Ds ADORES lazy town and does the one handed one legged press ups. I really want to buy the outfits for them too. We regularly have to have the cd on...groan.

The breeder siad I should go for hybrids first rather than pretty hens because if the fox does get them I've not lost £30 a pop birds. She also said that I should let the novelty wear off too...snigger...it's like when you get a hamster or a rabbit as a child and swear that you will clean them out weekly and you don't!

I could get some boring hens and just one likely to go broody one then buy some fertile Orprington eggs and raise my own ...

oggsfrog · 06/03/2008 16:39

Yep. That's what I did. I put 6 Buff Orp eggs under Primrose (Maran). Only one hatched (Egg).

Berrie · 06/03/2008 19:28

Oh dear...did they come through the post? I must say I do remember when we hatched eggs as a child under a broody, only 2 worked and then a piece of wood blew down on them and they were flat. One died and one puffed up again...

OP posts:
Berrie · 06/03/2008 19:29

...and lived until the fox had it

All this chicken and egg talk is a bit beyod me I'm afraid - It was so much easier when we all spent our time discussing the finer points of Lee's twinkly eyes and silky curls but I guess we are all over him now??

At least he brought us all together
I have been a good girl again today:

Apple and milk thisle tea for brekkies
Grilled goats cheese (soooo yummy) and bacon for lunch and homemade cauliflower soup followed by lamp chops with mangetout for tea

Now having a nice glass of red and watching Phone Rage on channel 4

Berrie · 07/03/2008 07:19

Ah Lee...had a Lee deam last night, he was so yummy. Dvo had done an autobiography / novel which detailed their relationship and in the end they split up. I kept trying to get online to tell you all but things kept going wrong...like end of the world monsters (watched Torchwood last night) Actually I think it was John Barrowman and the sexual tension between him and Gwen that got me in the frame of mind for a Lee dream in the first place. Not that he noticed me, but I got a closer up than usual gazing opportunity.

Thanks Berrie! And he's releasing the best song on the album as a single. Good for him.

binkleandflip · 07/03/2008 09:19

How long has she been 33 for now.... (miaaow!!)

LyraSilvertongue · 07/03/2008 09:36

I disagree that it;'s the best song but it's one of the less bland ones.
He does sound really happy doesn't he.

Zebedeedoodah · 07/03/2008 09:48

Bless him. Yes, not convinced about the 33 either Middle aged. Huh!

Berrie · 07/03/2008 09:58

Should a 26 year old really be talking about looking forward to being a Dad?

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 07/03/2008 10:49

Scary prospect. Unless he's warming us up as a certain other person's biological clock maybe ticking quite loudly?

Yikes, the scary lady personal trainer is coming to give me my 'programmme' at lunchtime. And I feel rubbish - I've got the tail end of a cold and I can't stop coughing.

Berrie · 07/03/2008 11:11

Is she doig it with you each week or just giving you a programme?

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 07/03/2008 11:51

She's giving me a programme, then in the first instance coming every fortnight. After that it'll be once a month - I can't afford more than that.

Berrie · 07/03/2008 11:57

And that will amke you do it will it?

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 07/03/2008 12:42

Oh ye of little faith!

Berrie · 07/03/2008 12:47

Ho ho ho MFL'sF just told me the juiciest piece of Lee/dvo gossip but I'm not allowed to put it up here

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 07/03/2008 14:13

Email it. Go on. You know you want to. And you know we ain't gonna tell no-one (mainly cos we don't have any friends who actually care!)

Berrie · 07/03/2008 14:29

Will do but need to trawl through hundreds of sent messages for all your addresses as I didn't ever manage to set up a group

Can't do it now Dh just coming home from work poorly...we've all got it, tummy ache, nausea, and the rest tummy bug...bleeeuuurgh

binkleandflip · 07/03/2008 14:45

Oh dear been a bit naughty today

Omlette and orange juice for breakfast
eggs benedict (without the bread - good) and latte for lunch
Cadburys mini egg cake (BAD)

and going for chinese food tonight - oh well it is Friday after all

Good luck with the trainer Zeb, though I can testify that half the motivation for me for going to my trainer is that get to spend an hour in close promixity to a perfectly toned young man who is nice to me and stands over me while I lift stuff and doesnt even look disgusted by my gurning - dont know if I'd enjoy it as much with a girl
