It's raining here too, though still v. chilly - the woodburner has been quietly chuntering all day.

It's very lovely hearing all your Christmas prep, we finally unpacked the final box of decs at the weekend...I say "we", the mini Elks insist on getting them out on the 1st of December and then do absolutely bugger all else. Obviously as DS2 has finished school, he’s up bright and early.

Morning all. No idea what the sunrise did this morning - nothing much due to cloud cover. It's all very wet underfoot though, and the only ice I could find was in a bucket that was frozen solid. Not that I was looking for any really, but it was by the chicken house. <witters on>

I need to finish breakfast and get working. DS is still alseep, but we had a late night so <shrug>

FML, I've had an apricot moment and all the photos have vanished from my mobile.

I've clearly done something stupid, because I got a notification yesterday (without my glasses on) and pressed a button telling it to sod off (I think). Actually, I think I pressed a button telling it to manage my photos on google cloud and delete everything off my phone. There is nothing in the bin on my phone, I think it has deleted an app and everything with it. <wails>

"If you don’t back up photos to your Google account, to maximize use of your phone’s internal storage space, there’s no undo." Photo recovery apps are bringing up nothing but photos that I've shared via other apps.
Fuckity, fuck, fuck. All my scenic frosty photos are gone. And everything else. (But I was after the scenic frosty photos for a Christmas email.)

Oh well. No-one died/worse things happen at sea/no FAF was deleted, etc.

Afternoon. Much warmer here but very windy, so I washed the bedding and put it on the line thinking it would dry. It rained.

I had so much to do today, but found my car battery flat. DH, who was at the golf club, had left my door slightly open when he went in it for something a few days ago. I'll have to do it all tomorrow but we have DGS for the day. Oh well, DH will have to amuse him. He always does to be fair.

Oh no Helen. Yes, if you put the photos on to the cloud they're deleted from your phone. They're still there somewhere but I've never understood the cloud. I know when DH's phone went for a swim in the lake, he downloaded all his photos from the cloud to his new phone, but I don't know how he did it. I'll ask, he's at the dentist at the moment.

Helen, DH says he went into settings on his new phone, then iCloud and put his Apple password in. Then all his photos automatically downloaded. Don't know whether this is any help, but good luck.

Ha ha!!! I took the SD card out and put it back in (because DH told me to) - then miraculously everything was back. I must have somehow uninstalled the SD card, because I was out in my car an hour ago and the car insisted that my phone had no music either

Spent the afternoon with DD at the hospital where she was born <coughs> years ago <coughs> getting a 24 hour EEG set up. It is not very comfortable - she has a lot of electrodes glued to her head and an equal number of wires leading to a chunky battery pack that she has to wear. We were pleased it was winter and everything was covered up on the journey home - travelling on the tube with a wired up power pack strapped to you is not a good look....... In a distraction attempt we rewatched the Ninon episode this evening. Had forgotten just how much fun that one is - book fighting, flirty Aramis, Kingy trying to be funny and the Cardinal at his very best. Easily the best villain across the 3 series, he had some cracking lines in that episode & him & Trev are brilliant together.
