Thread 173 Shock. Break out the duvets and huddle round the scorching hot brazier HBF-of-choice.

Yet more domestic drivel and shameless perving.

Morning wenches.

Bit rude of your mum and TB there Wicked but hurrah for Daryl! Also, thanks Smile

Hope the 10 minute job was just that Fancy. Hope you have a lovely few days off.

Oooooo at real life HBFs Helen! They do exist after all. Sympathies re MiniHelen.

Sleep was a bazillion times better thankfully and the “medicine” seems to have done the trick. Have packed an extra jumper for work today.

FancyFancy · 23/03/2023 16:20

Glad you're feeling a bit better today letus & hope you're not too cold.

It would be too much to ask for hbfs and an ungrumpy DS wouldn't it helen?

It's a bit like hoping for hbfs to be in a dream and not be snogging someone else ww Grin

Garden centre visit is my plan over the next few days apricot, has been absolutely pissing it down here today, otherwise I may have gone today. As it is I have done exceedingly little so far. Bliss. Apart from beating my record on Duotrigordle - 6 minutes 13 seconds with 3 spare guesses. The words fell nicely today.

ApricotCrush · 23/03/2023 16:58

Afternoon. Grey and showery here.

Ooooooo at HBFs Helen. Brightens the day up.

Also Google’s Daryl Dixon. No, not for me WW, but he reminds me a bit of Sean Bean. Grin at your dream of TB and your Mum.

Glad you’re feeling better LetUs. Hope you were able to keep warm.

Have a lovely few days off Fancy.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/03/2023 19:24

Oooh, well done on duotri Fancy.

It's been windy here and mostly dry - I got two loads of laundry through, so that was handy.

Today I'm mostly tiiiiiiiiiiiiired and a bit headachy. I'm planning for an early night tonight. Will get by wordling out of the way asap!

Evening wenches.

The extra jumper I took to work helped. Very cold hands though and I can’t really put my mittens on and type. It’d be like Trumpton or Camberwick Green or Chigley Grin

Oooo well done on the new record for your Duotrigordle Fancy! Hope the weather picks up for you.

That’s it Apricot! He does have a look of Sean Bean!

Sunshine and heavy showers today. One of the heavy showers happened on the way to the car park so I drove home with soggy trousers and cold wet legs. Another early night for me I think.

Morning wenches.

Ooooo those look cosy Helen! Actually I’ve a knitting pattern for fingerless mittens and some fancy yarn I got free that I had no idea what to do with. Might get me kickstarted back into knitting over the weekend.

DS2 is being let’s say demonstrative regarding having to get up. Super.

At least it’s Friday and the sun’s out for now.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/03/2023 07:44

Morning. Yes - hurrah for the sun being up and out and shiny. And also no headache today, even though I had one last night (all hail the mighty asprin).

DS is out the door - slightly late, so I hope he hasn't missed the bus.

Good plan on the knitting front - turtle doves are a lot bit pricy (I got mine in a 'random allocation' sale and still felt a bit erk about the amount of money) but they are lovely and mostly do the job - certainly much easier to type in than actual fingerless gloves, because I have tried that too. (Also, when did MN start doing previews of links?)

More spreadsheeting and finance awaits me today, though not yet, because Intelligent cat requires my services as a bed. #WenchPriorities

Afternoon. Sunshine and showers here too.

I went up to the Crem this morning as it's my Dad's anniversary and had a lovely walk round there. It's so nice this time of the year with all the spring flowers. It was a bit of a memory lane thing as on the way I passed my in-laws' old house, the office where I worked for over 20 years and the churchyard where my maternal grandparents are buried. I didnt get lost either, that's a first.

Hope everyone's had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 24/03/2023 19:14

Evening wenches.

Sounds a peaceful way to spend the morning Apricot. <wenchy hugs>

Hope MiniHelen got the bus okay and your headache stayed away. Yes, I would imagine fingerless mittens are much easier when it comes to typing than with fingerless gloves. Found a pattern anyway and hope I’ve enough of the spendy yarn that was actually free.

Work was crackers and I’m glad to be home, shortly to have a large drink in my hand.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 24/03/2023 20:24

Apricot ❤️

An elk <nto> wandered by my house out on the field today, and she had a babyelk <nto> with her. Of course I filmed it but was so excited that I forgot to press rec, so typical. Amazing to see though 😍

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/03/2023 20:42

FML wenches, I've just finished working. Year End can do one.

Hurrah for wildlife and free knitting and not getting lost Grin

And now I have to mend SportingActivity clothes for DS to wear in time for tomorrow morning. <le wilt>

FancyFancy · 24/03/2023 21:42

Evening
Has been very wet here today - did make it to the garden centre between showers though.

OMG that must have been so cute ww

Sounds like you had a peaceful enough morning for all of us apricot Smile

I have some of the Turtle Doves wrist warmers - very useful when I'm waroking from home. They were my secret santa gift this year & I was skeptical they'd make much difference to my cold hands, but they really are good.

LetUsPrey · 25/03/2023 09:47

Morning wenches.

Wildlife wandering by sounds so lovely Wicked!

I’m on with the knitting - just hope I’ve enough of the yarn.

Usual Saturday of homework and housework. Out for tea later.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 25/03/2023 10:42

Today is Waffle Day, no idea why but who cares Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 25/03/2023 10:51

And it’s snowing here, I mean, WTF!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/03/2023 11:56

Monring all. (Just about).

Ohhh - waffles - yes please! I have been out doing stuff, and now I need to go backout and carry on with the brambles and bamboo stuff.

Do you want to build a snowman wicked? Grin

OP posts:
WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 25/03/2023 13:45

I want the snowman to sod off Helen Grin

ApricotCrush · 25/03/2023 17:14

Afternoon all. Nice day, no rain.

Wildlife sounds lovely WW, pity about the video. A restaurant we go to at the caravan does the most amazing waffle sweet, we always have one.

Hope you have enough yarn LetUs. I've actually finished one of my work-in-progress jumpers today and am inspired to have a go at another one.

Curry later but I have to do this one from scratch as I've used up the ones from the freezer.

Have a lovely evening all. Wine

LetUsPrey · 25/03/2023 18:26

Evening wenches.

Count me in for a waffle too please.

Hope the bamboo and brambles went well Helen.

Impressed at finishing another work in progress Apricot. Enjoy your curry.

Been out for an early dinner to a steak place. Had to undo the top button on my jeans and am now in pyjama bottoms and jumper.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/03/2023 19:18

Evening all. Bamboo'n'brambles went well (in between the rain) - I burnt the bamboo in the incinerator (along with whatever else I felt like throwing in) and now I stink of smoke. I should really have a shower before we eat, then I can hit the PJs too.
Beef brisket for tea tonight. It's been cooking since 1pm so should be lovely.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 26/03/2023 09:19

Morning wenches.

That beef brisket sounded delicious Helen.

Lovely and sunny here. Sunday activities of ironing and DS2 being cheeky and rude when it comes to homework and life in general.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/03/2023 11:24

Morning all. Beef brisket was very lovely Grin Now I have to go to Tesco hunting/gathering to find something for tonight.

Weather's a bit meh, but looks dry so far. DH says they're talking about frost and potential snow overnight Shock [horror]

There are no plans for today.

OP posts:
ApricotCrush · 26/03/2023 17:48

Afternoon. Sort of damp and gloomy day. Eeek at potential snow.

DS had his children today and we all went out for a pub lunch and I thought I wouldn’t have to cook but DH said he didn’t have much and is hungry again so… <sigh>

Dentist in the morning to have the wobbly tooth out. It’s been painful this last week and I’m living on paracetamol so I’ll be glad to get rid of it.
