Thread 173 Shock. Break out the duvets and huddle round the scorching hot brazier HBF-of-choice.

Yet more domestic drivel and shameless perving.

Evening wenches.

Lovely to see both mums today. Can’t even remember what I watched whilst I ironed - wasn’t Downton anyway.

Had bath’n’book this afternoon whilst DH and DC watched the football.

Enjoy your evening Apricot.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/03/2023 19:43

Vodka as a mother’s day gift, brilliant Grin]

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/03/2023 20:48

Evening all.

Woe (ish) is me. One (another) of my teeth has fallen to bits. Shock Fortunately, I have an appointment already booked for a week Tuesday, so until then I shall be a snaggle-toothed crone wench

LetUsPrey · 20/03/2023 07:34

Morning wenches.

Have always said I’m happy on Mother’s Day with daffodils and alcohol so I’m really not hard to please Grin

Ouch at tooth Helen

Worst night’s sleep for ages and bad stomach ache. I’ll be in the hayloft.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/03/2023 08:05

Morning all.

Oh LetsUs Sad <cwtch> Stay in the hayloft - I'll bring up breakfast in bed HBFs for you. Paulo can sing you a lullaby (other options are available) and get you back to sleep.

I had a bonkers dream involving a school exchange trip to France which I was thinking about pulling out of because it was a looooong bus ride. Except I was also prepping a tall ship to sail there, and by the end of the dream we were at the French houses and I was still dithering about pulling out due to the travelling Confused And not a HBF in sight. What a waste of a dream.

Tooth is annoying (jaggy) but fortunately it doesn't hurt in itself.

ApricotCrush · 20/03/2023 17:14

Afternoon. Miserable grey day again, it’s raining now.

When there’s something wrong with a tooth you can’t leave it alone Helen. At least it doesn’t hurt.

Hope you have a better night tonight LetUs.

We’re watching season 5 of The Crown. Elizabeth Debicki Is really overdoing it as Diana.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 20/03/2023 18:40

What a Monday, greeeeeyyyy and rainy.

Not getting enough sleep is the worst Letus.

Ouch about the tooth Helen.

FancyFancy · 20/03/2023 20:25

Evening. Also grey and drizzly here too. Still, it's not cold and after the dry winter more rain is good - otherwise there'll be hosepipe bans as soon as we get a few days of sunshine!

Have not done a huge amount today to be perfectly honest - FancyMan was here and we went for a short walk and he helped me tidy up some of the fallen brickwork in the garden. Much excitement over seeing a goldcrest in the garden - a very cute little bird.

Yesterday evening I did the Downton bit but not the ironing. Must rectify that tonight.

How are you feeling now letus?

How's the tooth Helen?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/03/2023 21:02

Excellent news re. the goldcrest Fancy - they're such dinky little things Grin

My tooth continues to be jaggy but painless - long may that continue.

Today has been a bit dismal, but fairly productive. The toaster went phut, so I had an emergency toaster-buying trip, combined with food shop. Obviously that made my day a bit less productive work-wise, but needs must.

Am very tired though.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 20/03/2023 21:17

Evening wenches.

No pain from tooth is on the plus side I suppose Helen. Bonkers dream by the way.

We’ve had rain for most of the day.

We had no heating at work today. It was warmer outside than it was in the office. Stomach still a bit sore but better than it was this time yesterday. If I can get a decent night’s sleep, that should help. Just as well Paella offered to sing a lullaby because I’m fit for absolutely nothing else.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/03/2023 21:35

Preps for bedtime lullabies...

I was about to go to bed and then DH put on the 'Making of The Last of Us'.
Darn.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 21/03/2023 07:34

Morning wenches.

No sweet dreams were inspired by lullabies, just accusations that the Liberal Democrats had won an election (not the big one) by means of witchcraft.

Still bloaty but not quite as sore. Attractive.

Have excellent days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/03/2023 07:52

Morning. Today is is generally cloudy and dismal.

<arf> at the political witchcraft - expelliarmus nonlibdemerass Grin
Speaking of cod-Harry Potter, a predictive text generator has been trained on the HP book, and come up with a new title and chapter (mashable.com/article/harry-potter-predictive-chapter for a summary and botnik.org/content/harry-potter.html for the full thing) and I have been howling with laughter.

Hope you feel better soon LetUs Sad bloaty soreness is shit.

ApricotCrush · 21/03/2023 16:28

Afternoon. Sunny this morning and it’s warmer, which is welcome.

I’ve been sorting some stuff out for the bin tomorrow. I wish I could be more ruthless. Hmm

Hope everyone’s had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 21/03/2023 20:03

Evening wenches.

Still no heating at work so brrrrrr.

I’ll check those links out Helen, they sound Grin

I’m the same as you Apricot with clearing things out, although I have taken some stuff to BigSis’s for her to pass on.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/03/2023 22:35

Evening all. I worked, I did a vet run (just booster jabs), I did more work... nothing exciting (though persuading KillerKitty into a cat box was interesting - hurrah for Dreamies!).

I'm also a bit very rubbish at clearing stuff out. "But it might be useful..." etc. <le sigh>

Bed calls.

LetUsPrey · 22/03/2023 07:31

Morning wenches.

Stupid stomach fucking up my sleep again to the point I ended up downstairs for an hour at 4am. I’ll call at the supermarket for something that says it will help.

For today though I look like I’ve been dug up and then thrown in a skip. Gorgeous. Short day though.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/03/2023 07:49

Morning. You look fabulous LetUs, because you are wench. That's shit about the lack of sleep and stomach shenanigans though. I'm sure the supermarket will have vodka something to help. Like HBFs to distract you. (#delusional)

I got to sleep just as DH came home last night. Then lay awake until about 1am, then woke up just before 6am. Joy. Now it's grey and windy and rainy outside, which doesn't inspire me with enthusiasm or energy.

ApricotCrush · 22/03/2023 16:14

Afternoon. Nice day, much warmer.

Went to Sainsbury’s and also a couple of garden centres. DS bought me a cute flower arrangement ‘from the garden centre’ for Mother’s Day and I want another one to match as there are two small windows in one of the bedrooms and it’s perfect. Unfortunately I couldn’t find it so will have to ask him which garden centre it was. Confused

Oh LetUs I’m sure you look fine had to laugh at your description. Hope you can get something to help.

LetUsPrey · 22/03/2023 17:23

Evening wenches.

Got some medication from the supermarket and let’s just say it’s been windy inside work today as well as outside Blush Just trying to imagine HBFs loitering in an Asda. Nope, even with my imagination that’s not happening.

Still no heating at work though which isn’t doing anything favourable for those of us who are there all day every day. So I’m just about running on fumes <possibly tae>

Oh no Apricot, does that mean additional garden centre cafe visits? Oh dear how unfortunate Grin

I am thinking I’ll do bath’n’book tonight and then bed.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 22/03/2023 18:00

I actually got me some smooching from Daryl Dixon in my dream last night Grin It sure beats the dream where Tom Burke was dating my mom Confused

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 22/03/2023 18:02

Btw Letus, you always look fantastic, even when you’re farting ❤️

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/03/2023 19:14

Grin excellent annoying subconscious moment there Wicked - TB dating your Mum Grin
<Googles Daryl Dixon> Hmmm... he certainly grubby. I think you can keep him though. He reminds me of someone, but I can't think who. It's off-putting though. <kicks lack of working memory/recognition powers>

Confused at LetUs running on fumes/wind-powered. But hope you're feeling better for it..

Wenches - I have news. I had meetings at work, and encountered not one, but two HBFs Shock Properly 'Well hello there!' HBFs. I was utterly professional though (you'll be astonished to know) and haven't even 'OMG'd' at any female colleagues, because it might go beyond the 'girls' and who wants to even consider that their colleagues might be perving over them? Ick Confused (and also Pwhoar!)

DH and DS are off being sporting. I have steppered and need to do somethign about food really.
<sits on sofa>

Hope that you find a matching flower arrangement Apricot - fingers crossed.

Evening
Have a few days off work starting tomorrow, so predictably today was a mad rush. And I've just remembered something that I meant to do yesterday. Bugger. May start that now, if it goes well it'll be a 10 minute job. If not...........

Bonkers dreams there wenches Confused

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/03/2023 07:40

Morning all. It's bright and sunny here which is lovely. (Though not making me feel any less tired.)

DS was a stroppy monster last night about going to bed <le sigh> and everything rant late so, tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired #BrokenRecord

Hope the 10 minute job was only 10 minutes Fancy, and that LetUs had a better night's sleep and the vodka drugs from the supermarket have worked.
